April Dewdrops 2019

Welcome Cara :hi: I'll go ahead and add you.

Congrats on everyone who found out gender!! It's making me almost rethink our decision to wait, I still have 4 weeks to go until I would be able to find out anyway. We had our scan at 15 weeks but I didn't pay attention really since we were focused on finding out why the bleeds were happening. I suppose we may change our mind but right now we're team yellow.

I can definitely put something next to names for boy/girl/yellow. I think I'm caught up and will update once I post this so if you don't see something on the first page please let me know and I will get to it as soon as I can.

AFM 17 weeks today! Baby is getting bigger and it's no longer a question on whether or not I'm chubby or pregnant because the belly is prominent right now :haha: I'm starting to feel kicks every day at least once or twice two so that makes things so much better. My anxiety is easing. Can't believe I'm less than a month from halfway!

Yay for movement angel! I've started feeling movement a little more regularly and it's so exciting! It's like a muscle twitch. I have my anatomy scan on Thursday this week. I'm staying team yellow!

I've been feeling kicks too! They're very light and feel like it might just be gas, but they're there!

Angel - I noticed you have a blue next to me, we actually find out next weekend! I think it was Katie that should have a stork?

So exciting Abe! Can't wait for your announcement!

I have an OB appointment tomorrow, excited to hear babies heart beat and know that I'm measuring okay etc.
I'm still not really showing, I had a tiny tiny bump at 11 weeks but now I think it was bloating lol. I'm worried a little because being my
second everyone says they showed really early. I'm 15 weeks on Wednesday and my pants still fit fine no noticeable bump. I'm sure my doctor will tell me its normal that not everyone shows early on there second!

Yes I live in the states, in South Georgia so southern as well. That's kinda how I felt, a shower is a first baby thing. My first is 3 years old, will be a couple months away from 4 when baby arrives. My husband has a cousin who is so insistent on throwing a shower, but she lived in texas during our first pregnancy so she wasn't around for it. Maybe that's why. My coworkers say I should have one to give people the chance to give a gift if they want, but if they just want to give a gift they can do it any time. I don't want to ASK for a gift for a second baby. But I didn't really have a choice the first time, and I'm thinking I probably won't have a choice this time. ](*,)

Congrats to everyone feeling movement and to all you ladies who found out genders. I'm so jealous! It will probably still be a while before I get to feel Tristan move. 17 weeks today. Got an ob appointment friday. Probably get to see him again. I kinda feel like I'm slowly getting more energy but I've also had alot of crampy feelings the last few days. Which to most people wouldn't be much pain but my cramps before pregnancy were always so severe so this cramping is pretty bad. Not as bad but very uncomfortable. I don't think its anytjing to worry about. I'll probably check with dr to make sure but I'd say its just normal growing pains and things. I have had to force myself to stop buying stuff for the baby so that family members will have the opportunity but its hard especially when you find a good deal on stuff. Went to goodwill and found the exact tub I had on my registry in perfect condition and all the parts for $3 regular price was $30. You can't just pass things up like that. But I'm going to try to resist. I think nesting started extremely early for me. All I think about is everything that needs to get done before the baby gets here. People may think I'm crazy to worry about these things so soon. But I cant help it. I want all the work to be done so that when he gets here we can just relax and enjoy him.

Congratulations to all that have found out genders, I have 2 more weeks until I find out... can’t wait! Anybody else feeling like there huge? I’m almost 15 weeks and well passed the ‘looking like I have had to many cakes’ lol there’s no denying I’m pregnant now with a visible bump. In fact I look about 20+ weeks lol have attached a photo. I have felt the tiniest flutters at night whilst relaxing but unsure if it’s baby or my mind playing tricks... I guess if it is baby they will become more frequent over the weeks. Hope everyone’s keeping well x

Cute bump Jamie's! It got to the point where people at work have guessed I'm pregnant. So no denying it now for me either lol

Today we found out....

We are expecting our fourth SON!!!

Congratulations!!!

Hi ladies :hi:

Can I join you? Due 16th April so currently 15+5 and have been too scared to join a group until now! We were TTC for 5 years and had 2 losses so I've been so worried about jinxing things!

Hope you're all well and enjoying your pregnancies:baby:

Welcome Cara :)

I live in western Canada and the etiquette around showers here is the same as what tulip described.

Baby showers are not a thing in The Netherlands. Some people opt for them, much like Halloween is being adapted here too even though it's not officially a holiday here.
The tradition and I suppose "etiquette" is that family and friends will come visit the baby soon after birth and bring presents then. It basically means a LOT of visitors at a time when what you kinda need is sleep and rest. The visitors can come for months after, especially if you have a large family like DH does.
So what we did and will do again is just have a few planned, mild afternoon parties where people who want to come over and meet the baby are welcome to. Those who can't make it can come another time. But it just means we keep evenings and weekends quiet for ourselves.

Angel please can you put me as girl?

Cute bump Jamie! I am definitely starting to pop now, can't wait for a proper bump.

Hey guys!!
I have my gender scan scheduled for Nov 8th!! I'm so excited!! I've been feeling movements a couple times a week since pretty early this time, but they're not regular yet. I dreamed I miscarried last week, so that made me antsy for a while. Then the other night I dreamed I was looking with the ultrasound machine at work and saw boy parts like a 3D image. :haha:

Your scan is a day before mine! FX everything is healthy with babe.

My belly has popped and I've started feeling movements! I'm anxious to hit 20 weeks, and then V-Day - the anxiety should hopefully calm down by then.

Welcome Cara  We'd love to have you join!

Congratulations counting! How are you feeling about it? I always thought being a boy mum was really special <3

Glad your nausea has eased babyplease

Will you be having another baby shower then babyvaughan?

We are absolutely ecstatic!!! And my older boys are over the moon. We didn't care either way, but I love being a boy mom.

We give all of our kids 2 middle names. We have named our newest son Polaris Poet Marshall Lastname. We are calling him Poe.

Sorry about that abennion, I fixed it!
Gray I added girl to the 1st page for you!

This week got a bit crazy and I have a feeling it's only the beginning, DH works retail so November until January his schedule gets absolutely ridiculous and I basically take care of the household solo for the most part. I feel like my scan is so far away even though 4 weeks is going to fly by. I have another midwife appointment before then which will just be standard so I'm mainly waiting on that scan to see two things: one that baby is healthy, and two if my placenta has moved out of the way and if I can relax. Positive thoughts daily.

Glad I'm not the only one with a belly! Cute baby bumps make it seem more real along with movement :)

Had my anatomy scan today!

It went well over all, there was a heart beat, and baby was very active LOL. I was worried being 18 weeks that the baby would be too small to visualize things properly, but they said that they got really clear pictures, so I was relieved.

The tech I had was a student (her supervisor came in and repeated the scan again so I got a double scan lol). The student referred to the baby as a "him" at one point rather off-handedly. Now I don't know if that was a slip-up or not. So I'm still counting myself as team yellow because I didn't confirm either way, but I'm strongly suspecting its a boy!

I've been feeling baby move a TON these last few days! Its like I have a little fish swimming around in there!

Angel I'm hoping your placenta has moved up into a better position!

So excited for your gender announcements to come!

Belle! That's disappointing she said him since you want to stay team yellow! Very well could have meant nothing. If it's a girl you will just be extra shocked! I know someone who the tech said boy and it was a girl!

My anatomy scan isn't until Dec 4th! I'm eager for it as my last scan for medical purposes was at 8 weeks. I'm nervous because with my son. I left the anatomy scan thinking all was lovely. Two days later I received a call that baby had two things wrong with him and I needed to see specialist's right away. I was so upset for weeks. I worry about that! His heart ended up being fine and his kidney issue stayed until 9 months then went away but still I had so much fear for him. He is now happy healthy 3 year old!

Belle, I'm happy to hear your anatomy scan went well! I am sorry it appears the tech may have misspoke but it could be a harmless slip. "He" is the default for everything. When I was pregnant with DD, I lost track of how often people referred to my unborn child as a "he" when the sex wasn't known at all!

Glad everything turned out ok for your DS Vaughan!

My anatomy scan is booked for Nov 14th. I'm not too worried as the (same) clinician did my gender scan last week, she couldn't resist having a quick look at major organs etc, and already said everything major at least was looking good. Looking forward to more looks at our boy!

Thanks Vaughan and Katie! "He" as a generic is certainly a possibility! Every other time she referred to the baby as "they" or "baby" and then had a conversation with her preceptor in front of me about the best pronouns to use in this situation lol. So I dunno. Good luck at your upcoming anatomy scans! I think I must have been first in the group to have mine. 18 weeks is the earliest it can be done I think. I should get the full results from my doc this afternoon.

I'm jealous that they booked you in at 18 weeks! They didn't even give me the option, just booked me in at 19. I'm hoping we don't see anything on the screen that would give away gender, but I don't know if I'll be able to look away! Kind of want to be surprised right at the gender reveal instead of knowing and everyone else finding out.

Do you get to see the screen during your ultrasound Abe? They have it turned away from me the entire time so I can't see anything until the very end where they spend a minute giving me a peak at baby. I didn't get a choice on date either. Here they book between 18 and 20 weeks and for whatever reason I was booked for 18 weeks. Your scan will be here before you know it Abe! I hope you get the surprise the way you want it to happen!
