Beach Bump Graduates!

hope the diarrhea settles, not what you need right now.

just had my midwife visit she is happy with us both so far, back again on sunday but said if i have any issue feeding to call.

Eve - I have had exactly the opposite problem to be honest. Have you got MW you can ask about it?

Morning, had a good night, Harrison slept from 11pm till 245am then from 330am till 730am, and i had the best sleep as i CAN NOW LAY ON MY SIDE WOO HOO!

Clare, sorry to hear about the hearing test, hope all goes well today.

Eve no diorroeah for me!

Caz, hope you have a good day today

We are venturing into town today for shopping and lunch and to register Harrison at the doctors.

Thanks girls, the MW won't be back until tomorrow so I thought I'd run it by you all. I'm wondering if it's something to do with stopping the zofran or something as it made me so constipated I had to take lax too...

I was bad like that Eve for the first 5 or so days, now feeling more constipated! Taking a stool softener.

Office of national statistics has released the uk top baby names for 2010 - annoyingly Annabelle is now top 100 at 89 and growing in popularity! And you think you chose a non popular name Grrrr!

Greg had a word with his mum and dad, they are both trying more today so hopefully it will all calm down!

Freckles - good thinking to get the monitor, I must rig mine up!! Would make me feel a lot better.

Mel - must be good to sleep in any position now! I'm more comfy on my side because of the stitches, and well done to Harrison for sleeping!

Caz - so happy you had a good nights rest!

Curlew - sounds like a good cinema experience! I might do that at some point when I want to see something again. Glad I saw HP before Annabellegot here though!

Been to the park with my nct friend, did public BF and changing! Whoo hoo!

Thanks Hann!! I was never like this with Saraya! Well done you on the public BFing! I was walking round town on Tuesday feeding, I had a bunch of old ladies smiling at me for walking down the street doing it hehe

Hi! Sorry I haven't posted in a while I'm always one handed lately!!

I hope Niamh's hearing test goes OK- Naomi failed her first 3 too then they did this thing where they stick pads to them and she passed, it was worrying though, I hope you're ok :hugs:

Linds- That's awful about paultons! I tend not to bother with feeding rooms which can be a challenge as I'm currently sporting an h cup :( I have yet to flash anyone :) But I am having to wear a vest under everything!

Eve- I had the same problem around day 10 :hugs: it's not nice but passed quickly xx

Hann- you have my sympathies re the in-laws! :)

Gw- I remember someone saying that they have a mammoth growth spurt at 6 weeks, then after that it's plain sailing- I'd ditch the formula and try and put her to the breast as often as she wants- not that easy when you have 2 I know!

Well things seem to be going ok now- mastitis has gone, Naomi is gaining- just slowly- only 3oz last week but she wont feed for very long so am now block feeding and things seem to be better- hopefully the weigh in on monday will confirm this *crosses fingers!*, N still has jaundice so is sleepy which isn't helping but I think we're slowly getting there!

xxx

Thanks Doods- I am going to try my best to keep her at the boob :)
Glad Naomi is doing well - and you too... Happy feeding!

So glad you are feeling better Doods and that it didn't affect your BF!

Just had a funny moment - we gave Annabelle her first bath and she seemed to like it but when we took her out she had a cry so Greg wrapped her in a towel and was giving her a cuddle then she pooped on him - a huge messy one straight into his hand (through the towel) and onto his shorts! We changed her and he was giving her another cuddle (again hand on bum) and she did it again! It didn't go on him the second time as she had her nappy on but it was funny!
Little things......

just gatecrashing for a mo as it a bit quiet on the other thread, just me and squeeker left i think, i dont no if shes having the baby as its been so quiet

hope u all well

emee x x x

Emee I hope it's not much longer for you! When would you get induced?
I hope you are okay :hugs:

Hey all. Been periodically checking the bumps thread but I'm such a dunce I didn't click that everyone would be here! Not been able to catch up on old posts but will do best to keep up to date from now on.

Jadelin & I are doing well. Not been breastfeeding for 2 days now because BF specialist said to see GP & he said to take antibiotics (in case there's any hidden infection) & to allow nipples to heal. One is almost better so hoping to get her back on on next couple of days but very nervous.

Hope everyone here & babies are happy & healthy, I'm sure I'll soon come back up to speed.

xx

BV - it was really good as one of our local universities has an arts centre and they do parent and baby showings on a wednesday morning. They have the sound down and the lights dimmed but it is on the big screen so it was great.

bb - Yeh for Joshua sleeping in 4 hour intervals. Lol at the big poo for daddy.

caz - glad you had such a good sleep last night and that Ajay was more settled.

Freckles - well done Elliot for getting into a routine. Sorry to hear he still wont sleep on his back. Have to say I love my angelcare and wouldn't be without it.

Eve - are you on Iron tablets by any chance as they are giving me chronic diahorrea.

Topaz - glad your mw appointment went well.

mel - glad Harrison had a good night too. Yeh for being able to sleep on your side. I remember the first night I managed to sleep on my front again after so many months, it was bliss.

Hann - well done for BF and changing in public. Totally know what you mean about names, we chose Logan over Lewis as we decided it was more unusual. When we went to register his birth they had the stats up for scotland and Logan was the 5th most popular and for our area the 4th :dohh: Love the poo incidents with Greg, Im sure she is still a daddy's girl though lol.

doodles - glad your mastitis has gone. What is block feeding? Hope Naomi puts on some more weight for you this week.

AFM - not sure what is going on with Logan. He fed last night from 7pm to 11:30pm and then was up again at 1am, 3am, 6am and 9am. He has also fed continuously from 12noon to 4pm. Its like he is cluster feeding but he isn't really due a growth spurt for another couple of weeks. In saying that the good news was I managed to express 4oz yesterday so DH managed to give him his feed at 6am to let me sleep through.

Curlew - I sympathise with the feeding - Annabelle has fed every 1-1.5 hours all day today! She has been asleep an hour now and I'm hoping that she will only have one more feed before midnight now and only 2 max in the night. I am wondering if I am producing enough milk for her if she needs to feed so regularly?! Bit worrying but I guess I'll get her weighed on Saturday and I'll find out then. She has more than enough poopy and wet nappies per day so I'm guessing I just have a chubster baby!
I can't believe you expressed 4 ounces - most I've had is 1 ounce per boob!

Tor - glad that you are recovering and hope picking BF up again goes well - try the lying down latch, thats been amazing for me and now even when I do a sitting up feed it doesn't hurt. Its much more relaxing too!

Moira I'm not on anything that's why I wondered if it's a zofran withdrawl thing given that it made me really constipated? I'll chat to the MW about it tomorrow.

Hann Atticus has been on every 1-2hrs as well, think he's having a week growth spurt.

Unfortunately I think I have overactive letdown which means my right nipple is now very painful due to him throwing his head back without unlatching because of the forcefulness of it and now he's started projectile vomiting as well, like an entire feed comes up... Been trying the upright football hold to try and reduce some of the choking he does during a feed but concerned the vomiting might cause him to lose weight.

im hopefully gettting induced monday evening i have to fone at 5pm to see if they have a bed, but until then i shall be trying everything possible to be dilated by the time i get there as i really want to walk around etc, but curries every nite for dinner are taking there toll on me lol x

Thanks Hann, I did do a couple of successful lying downs so might well try that again. Just worried she's got lazy with the bottle over the last few days & she'll actually have completely forgotten how to latch. :(

Emee, good that you have an induction sorted, at least you know baby will arrive next week, or there's still time before Monday.

Eve, poor Atticus projectile vomiting, that sounds awful, so does him yanking back on your nipple, hope you're not too sore. :hugs:

I've just changed the most full pooey nappy I've ever seen, so proud!! She hasn't been for a couple of days since taking formula so I'm quite relieved & I think she'll feel a million times better too. :)

xx

Morning ladies

Doodles, glad you are feeling better and you are still able to BF.

Hann loving the bath and poo story, we are hoping to do the first bath over the weekend too, has Annabelles cord dropped off now?

Emzee, really hope it happens for you and Squeeker soon:thumbup:

Eve, sorry you are having nipple pain. I hope it doesnt affect your feeding too much.

Curlew im impressed at your expressing power! well done! And Logan is obviously enjoying your milk! I hope you manage to get a little rest though.

Tor, yay for pooey nappies! Hope that Jadelin latches again with no problem, im sure she will.

As for me, we are still doing well, feeds are increasing in amounts and sometimes a little more frequent which is all good. Over the last 24 hours Harrison has been a bit constipated but this morning there were some great farts going on and then the most spectacular poo i have seen so far so relieved at that, he took a while to settle last night, Alan stayed up with him till about one, then he fed at 245hrs then again at 600hrs, we then had lovely cuddles for an hour till i put him back down and Harrison, Alan and the dog slept in till 845hrs whilst i did the bottles and a few other bits.

We had a lovely time wandering round town yesterday and having lunch, I lust love pushing my pram!

Today we are going to Grandads so Harrison will be meeting his great Grandad for the 1dt time which will be lovely. my mum will be there too, we are having lunch then be back home for a bit of housework and am making a mamouth lasagne for tomorrow when we have friends over for lunch.

Hope everyone and their babies have a happy day xx
