Beach Bump Graduates!

Gosh, we're having crib issues here, too! :dohh:

I'm pretty sure we've got 2 year molars (!!) coming in now, and Maisie just refuses to lie down to sleep, even in bed with me. It has taken a couple of hours for me to get her sleep every night this week. I'm so tired. She screams if I even suggest I'm going to walk near her crib. :nope: :haha:

Hann -- Your bump is so nice!

I'm a big waddling cow right now. :haha: Though I don't think I'm really all THAT much bigger than I was even at 5 months or so, the shape is different and higher. I'm quite positive she's head down, now, hopefully for good. pretty sure that happened right at 30 weeks because one day I was fine, the next I was having groin pain and felt like I had a bowling ball in my pelvis and started waddling and now I have to pee *every* time I stand up. :dohh: Hiccups low, kicks high. I'm pretty uncomfortable for the first time this pregnancy, really (so I shouldn't complain, but I'm going to!). Having really, really strong BH contractions for a week or so now, too. I don't remember them being this strong until 37-38 weeks with Maisie. Some of them take my breath away. It's nuts! Oh, and yesterday is the first day I could like feel (I swear it's like I can HEAR it) the baby's legs/feet getting caught on and kind of slipping past each other. I remember that toward the end with Maisie. Anyone else get that? It's so strange.

Hi julie good to hear from you, ouchie does sound like you're uncomfortable - wanting to pee every time you stand up?! You forget just how uncomfortable it is towards the end... How did it go with the house you put an offer on?

Mel, I have Jo frost's toddler book too. I really like her normally but for some reason i wasn't too enamoured with the book - i found it a little bit patronising and it didn't really tackle the issues i was interested in. There are some good snippets though. Interestingly she doesn't recommend switching a toddler out of his cotbed until 3 years old. Oops there goes my plan for leo!

Oh and i'm sorry you've had such a mare with H today... i dont know what to suggest but hopefully the nightlight will help, let us know how it goes. Anyway hopefully tomorrow will be better too with lots of stuff planned.

Hann - lovely neat bump!

Caz sorry you feel grim again, it sucks to miss college but it sounds like you need a night off...

Not much going on with me, but i'm getting very excited for the scan tomorrow...

IT'S SCAN DAY!!! Yay Simmy I could not be more excited for you! What time is it? Don't leave us hanging!! This is my excitement of the week/month I hope you realise! :) good luck and hope it all goes well.

Julie - post a bump pic! Bet you look amazing! I also bring Annabelle in with me at night and she lies there for a minute like she's going to sleep then she gets up and starts jumping. Cheeky little things!

Mel - is Jo frost super nanny? I've never seen it! I have a few books, will write them down for you, they are a more gentle approach though which isn't for everyone.

Annabelle is destroying my room so better go, will come back when she's being less destructive!!

Lol Hann! Bless you I'm thrilled that you're so excited :)

Will let you know as soon as I can - the scan is at 11am!

Xx

I'm already lurking in wait of the news lol!!

Yay thanks sooo exciting!!! One of each, perfect :)

I'm so totally thrilled as deep down I was hoping for a girl. I'm so relieved that all is normal though, that was my main concern. Yay!

Congratulations Simmy!!!! So glad the scan went well! :D

Mel :hugs: it's horrible getting no sleep and doing it while pregnant is no fun. Don't beat yourself up about it, it's hard enough work being pregnant and having a toddler without throwing no sleep into the mix! Hopefully it's a phase and will improve quickly.

Lovely bump pic Hann! How is Annabelle getting on with football? Glad you managed to steer her away from the curtain :D

Get well soon Caz! :hugs:

Sounds like the double was a good idea Georgie! :D Eek not long now!! (sorry to be the annoying person that keeps saying that but I'm SO excited!) :D

Julie not much longer for you either! :happydance: Can we see a bump pic please? :D

Had a nice morning today, it's Naomi's friend's 2nd Birthday so went to a little party for that this morning. I'm hoping Naomi naps this afternoon as our bedroom furniture was delivered yesterday so our upstairs is a bit chaotic! I'm halfway through sorting all of our clothes out but really need to get on with it so it's clear for the weekend!

In that case Simmy its even more exciting! Its funny because I have no deep down hopes that this baby is one or the other, but maybe thats because I already have a girl and I'm quite girlie so I have her and so open to anything now! I think its lovely to have one of each though :)

So you might have seen my FB update - Annabelle can now say her name!! Its more like Annbelle (without the middle 'a') but shes definitely meaning her name. Its so cute!!

Maria - I'm in exactly the same position with the upstairs and the furniture! Had new bed etc for our room delivered and now have to sort stuff out but having no luck doing it during the week so got to do it tomorrow as MIL arrives next week and the spare room is full of stuff. Annoying to have to do it at the weekend but I have to make the most of annabelles nap times by resting myself. Hope you get it sorted!

Sorry for not posting properly sooner, i was halfway through a post early this morning before Simmy had her scan but never got to finish!

Simmy thats such fab news especially if you secretly wanted a girl, im the same as Hann really i dont really have any deep rooted preferences at all, sometimes i think 2 boys will be easier and wonderful, sometimes i wish i could buy pink things but really i dont mind.

Maria, thanks hun, im trying my best im not good on not much sleep so that on top of pregnancy has just been getting to me a bit. Hope you get a chance to sort through some bits today!

Hann, yes saw you fb status, clever Annabelle! Yes Jo Frost is supernanny as in the tv programmes, any recomendations would be good thanks.

So two wake ups last night, did manage to get him back to sleep till nearly seven though, so thats something. We have had a lovely morning at jungle adventure (soft play) along with some other mummies and now home and trying to convince H that a nap might be good now, he obviously has other ideas!
Alan will be home soon, which is good as i have a splitting headache i cant seem to shift today.

Simmy -- We got the place, but it's currently owned by a bank and they're taking forever getting the deed together, apparently. We were supposed to close on it today but instead it got pushed back later this month. We don't even know when now. I'm so excited you're :pink:!! A good friend of mine also due in July found out she's them :pink: yesterday. Her oldest is 19 days older than Maisie and her youngest will be just a couple months younger than Violet so we're going to have a crazy amount of fun with 4 girls! Our poor husbands. :p I swear everyone I know who is pregnant right now & knows the gender is having a girl!

Maria -- Good luck sorting! I feel like I'm losing my mind with trying to get things sorted to move (I'm NOT moving a bunch of junk we don't need!) before I get too big to do anything other than lie on the couch after work. :haha: Though I think I may already be at that point. :dohh:

Hann -- Very cute Annabelle is saying her name. We get a "Maisie" from Maisie every once in a while but usually when I try to get her to tell me who she is, she just says "Me me!" :haha: I did get an "I love you" on the phone yesterday for the very first time though. I know she doesn't really know what it means, but my heart melted anyway.

Ack, gotta go. Will catch up more later!

Julie I would LOVE to hear an I love you! We are a while away from that though, shes not putting words together except from car key - very random! Shes been saying Annabelle all day though bless her. She also fed herself baked beans with a spoon tonight (she normally eats with her fingers) so this was a big turning point too!

Mel - hope you got H to sleep, its no fun when they are overtired. We just had my friends 2 year old boy over and he hadn't had his nap and he was soooo hyper active. He was eating an apple and I can't find the remains of it anywhere which is quite worrying where that is going to turn up!!

Simmy - are all your family excited about a girl? Have you thought of names? Sorry if its a bit early to ask :)

Caz - how are you feeling? Bet you are happy its the weekend. Were your inlaws back today? Guess at least you can get a few hours of recovery time to yourself over the weekend if they are :hugs:

Georgie - hope you are okay and thinking of you. Love the turban photo of J

Maria - did you get it sorted? Jealous if you did as I still have all mine to do!

Busy afternoon of cleaning and seeing the friend. Feel very proud of myself though as done loads of cleaning today so we just have to hoover and sort the upstairs tomorrow.
And very exciting I managed to get a cheeky wipes kit (normal price £45) for £25 including postage from a mum on a fb site. Really pleased as literally have no money!!
Greg should be home tonight at 7.30pm so hopefully will have a nice night tonight :)

What a bargain Hann! Plus that's so sweet about Annabelle saying her name!! <3

I hope the house hurries up for you Julie! It sounds like you have more sorting to do than me so I won't complain! :D

How is your head now Mel? I hope it's better :hugs:

I didn't get anything done today! :dohh: Martyn was supposed to be helping this evening too but he's been called out so I shall have to try and get on with it when I can I guess- argh! I was so tired earlier but I'm regretting not getting on with it now!

Hi girls,

Simmy yay for team pink! Very exciting and especially as that was your secret hope. A boy then a girl, perfect!

Han - in laws not back till next Friday and ill be honest I am dreading it :( so happy just the three of us and Ajay is so content and we have a good routine x

Hope you and Greg have a lovely evening.

Maria - hope you get the upstairs sorted out. And enjoy the party this weekend too!

Mel - poor you having a bad headache. Did h sleep eventually? Hope Alan gives you a rest.

Julie - wow I want to hear I love you :) that's awesome!

Busy day at work- I've totally lost my voice which is a pain but glad it's the weekend. We have two kitchen appointments and three builder appointments so its all go. But just relaxing tonight and taking it easy x

Wow Caz it sounds like you need a rest! At least you've got a while before the inlaws return...

Maria - oh no for getting nothing done! Will you have a chance this weekend?

Hann aah how sweet must annabelle have sounded saying her name, bless her. Leo calls himself 'Ee-oh', can't quite get the L! Well done for getting most of the tidying up done, i'm hopeless at cleaning, i don't even know how to work our hoover

Mel, glad you had a fun day at softplay, hope tonight goes ok with harrison!

Julie, that's great news you got the house, hope it doesn't take too long and you can move before Violet arrives...

AFM had a lovely day sharing the news with everyone, it's so exciting to do it now and so weird compared to last time where we didn't know til he was born. I guess it takes half the surprise away from the birth but hey ho, i could't possibly have waited! Re: names we have been talking a lot about it today, we're seriously considering Lily. The only thing is that even though it's a pretty name, it is quite common at the moment and was in the top 3 names this year. Other contenders are Jaya (my grandmother's name) and Kara. But we could completely change our minds!

I love Lily and also Jaya is beautiful as well - Lily would go so beautifully with Leo as well - but they are all nice names! It's so hard!

If we have another we have it down to Amaya and Amba for a girl and no ideas for a boy!!!!! But we will see.

First kitchen shop done, Neel is now at football, Ajay napping and so I'm looking online for kitchen stuff - it never ends! x

I love the name ideas! Simmy - really like Lily (especially with Leo although both having the same initials could be a problem eg. With post etc) plus Lily is quite common now but could be a good middle name - jaya lily? Kara lily? Not intended to offend if you do go for Lily it is beautiful, just how I think as I immediately omit popular first names but don't mind them as middle names ;)

Caz - I really like your choices too - especially Amaya as its very different. Amba is gorgeous but could be misspelled a lot because I'm assuming its pronounced Amber. Again just my thoughts, hope I'm not offending :)
Kitchen sounds like its coming along and good that you are better!

Had a bad morning, went for a walk alone just to esher (2 miles) as trying to get some exercise, we had agreed I'd call Greg when I got to town and he would come to waitrose to meet me and we would get a few things then drive home. So I left the house saying I'd phone in 25 minutes time. As I was leaving he called his mum to do Skype (he did it on the quiet). So I left and called exactly 25 mins later and he didn't answer, so I called the house phone which he answered and said he would meet me. I was expecting it would take him 10 minutes as he'd have to get Annabelle in the car. Anyway I got the shopping then was stood waiting for him for 25 minutes by which time by blood pressure dropped and I felt sick and faint. Finally he showed up and i had to grab the keys and sit in the car while he paid. Got home and had to lie with my feet up and just felt awful, it was scary. He apologised for taking longer than he should have, he said it took him ages to dress Annabelle. Anyway at no point did he admit to the fact that he was actually late was because he was skyping. I worked out that at a minimum he was on Skype for 25 minutes but it also appears that he got Annabelle changed downstairs while he was on Skype which I don't like either as its not necessary to do that, so he was actually probably on for 35-40 mins. He knew I was only going to be 25 minutes then he was meant to jump in the car and get me but he basically just left me to wait 25 minutes just so his mum could Skype for longer. I'm really upset about it but I can't say anything because he hasn't admitted to being on Skype at all. I only know because I overheard him. It's really frustrated me because he again put her first but this time I was actually put in a worrying health situation. So angry but having to just sit with it grrrr
