Beach Bump Graduates!

Argh how annoying!! Are you going to say anything? :hugs: that sounds scary. How are you feeling now? x

I'm feeling much better thankfully thanks Maria. I haven't said anything, I'm hoping he feels guilty anyway and I really don't want to have yet another talk about his mother!! Can't believe she's going to be here in a few days too arghhh!!

Hope everyone is having a nice night, I'm having a glass of wine tonight, not had anything for so long that I feel like I deserve it!!

I'd say a glass of wine is absolutely in order! Hope everyone's having a nice evening xx

Oh Han that's awful. Firstly that you were unwell but secondly that Greg has out his mum first and not told you. How upsetting. I don't know what to say except for you know that I'm with you on the mil thing and I hope you are ok.

And please don't worry about the name amba! We chose the Indian spelling which I like but I know it's different. Never worry about insulting me :)

Had a builder over tonight and he was great so lots of building talk tonight! Plus I made butternut squash risotto for tea and we are having wine in front of the fire :) x

Love the name choices Simmy. I really like Kara, I nearly went for Kiera. I do like Lilly too however I know how tongue twisty it can get with more than one starting with the same letter. (Hubby being Justin, dog being JJ, and obvs Josh) they do end up getting confused every now and again! Lol.

Hann, sorry to hear how poorly you felt. You deserve a medal for not blowing your top IMO. Hope the wine helps.

Maria, how's the organising going? I feel that's all I'm doing these days!

Caz, how exciting about builders, I've got really into housey stuff recently.

afm, nothing exciting to report! Baby is way too comfy in there and I've finally admitted to myself that I feel far to well to be going into labor soon! I've actually got loads to do the next couple of days so I'm all good being kept busy. Been doing more decorating today, I swear its never ending once you start. Should look good when it's finished though.
Talking of house stuff, I'm quite excited that we should be getting a new boiler and full central heating fitted soon (within a month) and been and got quotes for new bedroom carpets today :) bonus is, landlady is paying but we can choose! Thinking dark purple for M's room, dark blue for J's and some more neutral for our room. It's amazing how these things can change you as a person?! I never knew I could get excited about radiators and underlay! Lol.

I know it's sad Georgie but I'm the same - we spend hours choosing tiles, work tops, carpets etc!

We had a rock and roll Saturday night in - we made banana loaf whilst we discussed how to save money and looking at our finances. Blimey how times change!

Off to bed now x

We have done it!! Everything's away and the house is now calm and tidy once more- it was only a few days but I hate clutter!

Exciting about the house stuff Georgie! I know what you mean- Martyn and I spent and hour (!) in homebase discussing what shade of cream paint to use in the living room!

Sounds like you had a nice evening Caz :)

Martyn's on call still so we all spent the day in together and thankfully M wasn't called out :D Hope everyone else is having a nice weekend :)

Hi girls,

Maria - yay for sorting everything out! I always feel better when things are tidy.

We had a friend over with his girl - one of our NCT gang - as the wife is in Dubai with work so we had them over all afternoon. It was tiring but lovely for Ajay to have his little friend round as they go to nursery together and really get on well.

Exhausted now though - we had a huge roast dinner which was awesome. x

Evening all!

Oh Hann, how are you feeling today? How off of greg to sneakily skype his mum while you were waiting for him! He clearly felt he had to go behind your back and do it which is sad, and she clearly went on about what she'd had for dinner last wednesday which is why he was so late! Grrr! Also please take it easy, you can do some gentle exercise but with your low blood pressure maybe stick to shorter walks, sorry if that sounds bossy/patronising, it just sounds a bit scary to feel faint (but i know you would prob have been ok if greg had arrived on time).

Maria congrats on the tidying! I'm like you i hate clutter but it's a neverending battle as Paul is sooooo messy. He has messed up the spare room and a daren't even enter his office, it's so unfair he has two 'man rooms' in this house!

Georgie lol at getting excited about underlay! It is nice to make your house nice and that's great that your landlady is sorting things out. Errrmmm btw did i miss something, have you already named the baby?? M...?

Caz, aah hope you enjoyed the roast and have a good evening.... more wine by the fire??

AFM we took Leo to the petshop today to look at the rabbits, not to buy one lol just to play with them, we are such cheapskates but honestly he absolutely loves it there and it's a good rainy day activity. We then had lunch out in watford shopping centre and looked around the shops a bit while leo napped in the buggy. It was nice as i haven't really been out much, although i found it so knackering i had to have a nap when I got home! just not used to doing too much these days. Paul's out tonight so i've had leftover pizza and washed my hair, rock n roll lol!

Great idea Simmy on the pet shop - defo a good idea for a rainy day. We used to go to Watford shopping with my mum as a treat when we were younger - what's it called again? I remember the car parks are called kings, queens or something. How sad!

Right off to bed now - wish it wasn't Monday tomorrow but never mind x

The Harlequin! it's such a good shopping centre, only 10 mins from me! how funny that you used to go there. We parked in Kings today haha.

night night x

I remember now! We used to go to the jacket potatoe place for lunch :)

We used to go there when we lived in Aylesbury! Lol. That's actually not too far for me now if anyone ever wanted to meet there....

Simmy, baby will be Matilda :) assuming she's still a girl...lol.

Got the monday blues this morning :( woke up and am literally exhausted. I had a really busy weekend, we also do our cleaning and sorting which wiped me out especially after my start to sat morning. Then yesterday after a morning of cleaning we had 4 friends round so there was 7 of us including Annabelle, for the rugby. We cooked roast pork which in fairness Greg did most of, but I still managed to fall asleep during the rugby with everyone here. I then had to drive them back to the station for the fast train when I was exhausted. I felt really faint and sick when I got back, guess my blood pressure is still pretty low. Woke up this morning feeling so exhausted like I could barely move. Really really wanted Greg to take a day off or at least a few hours but of course he didn't so I'm just getting on with it. TV is on and Annabelle is being good for now but I know she'll need attention very soon! I'm taking her to monkey music in a bit. Meant to see a friend later but I'll see how I feel by then!
Could also do without the snow!

Georgie - you sound like you are doing so well so close to your due date. I have big admiration right now because I feel so tired. I feel like such a loser feeling like this at only 27 weeks! I'm going to be much a moaner close to my due date!!

Simmy - sounds like a nice weekend and good idea about the pet shop. At some point (years not soon) i think we'll get a rabbit or guinea pig, I don't like dogs and Greg is allergic to cats.

Caz - what kitchen are you going for in magnet? Is it on the website so I can be nosy?

Maria - its so nice to have all the sorting done isn't it? I am very relieved too! Glad Martyn wasn't called out too

Georgie - hope its not too long for you now.

Better go and get up properly and start the day (she says with a distinct lack of enthusiasm!) :)

I feel your pain with the Monday blues. My stomach's bad today- I've been well for so long I was hoping that by avoiding hormones I'd managed to get rid of whatever it is but I was bad Thursday too. Hopefully it's just a one off as I have no idea how I'll manage just day to day life if I'm ill all the time again :( sorry for the moan!

Matilda's a lovely name G!

I hope you get some rest today Hann (hard with a toddler!), I'd rest as much as you can for now- it must be very scary feeling so faint :( :hugs:

Even more tired now because Annabelles nap has been cut short (less than an hour) because the nosey neighbour from 2 doors down just rang the doorbell waking me and Annabelle and it wasn't even for anything important. I'm so tired, I just want to sit and cry :(

Hey everyone,

Sorry to hear people are having Monday blues - Elliot is having them too LOL! He's very clingy today and generally feeling sorry for himself. He has a weepy / gungy eye which I keep wiping with cotton wool and cooled boiled water. Anyone know the difference between symptoms of a blocked tear duct and conjunctivitis?

Simmy congrats on your team pink news! :happydance: Lovely name ideas too! By the way i've also taken Elliot to the pet shop to see rabbits etc! The weather is just too miserable to go to any farms / zoos!

Georgie - Matilda is a lovely name! Don't blame you being excited for central heating - it'll make a huge difference. It did for us when we went from storage heaters to central heating. We also had new carpets last week so understand your excitement!

Hann and Maria - hope you can get some rest and both feel better soon. Hann when's your MIL coming to stay?

Went to see the health visitor today to ask about Elliot only eating potato stars / waffles for dinner problem. She didn't seem too concerned and said to try and eat when he eats and he might want something from my plate, or just keep persevering as in the end he'll be curious about the other food on his plate. Can't have dinner when he has dinner as me and hubby have dinner when he gets home but i'll defo keep trying, not much else I can do i don't think.

Oh Hann how annoying of your neighbour! I hope you managed to get a bit more rest this afternoon. Is Greg working late?

I wouldn't worry about E's eating Becs, he'll get there- it's so frustrating I know as Holly was going through a funny phase recently so I know it's easy to stress but try not to :)

Bec, I agree with Maria, try not to worry too much. J went off loads, decided he didn't like stuff he normally loved and refused fruit of any description. He has literally in the last week started eating fruit again amongst a lot of other things. I definitely think its just a case of persevering, keep offering him things...and find ways of sneaking good stuff in. For example, J loves bubble and squeak and we've found that we can put pretty much any veg in it and he doesn't notice. He is also a cake fiend so I make things like apple muffins etc when I can....makes me feel like he's had a little bit of good iykwim?
