January Snowdrops +*+* Testing Thread *+*+ Ring in the New Year with BFPs!

@littlewitch sorry AF got you! Glad you have a plan in place for this cycle, I always find it helpful to look forward like that. When I actually ovulate after a positive OPK (because I don’t always ovulate annoyingly) I think it’s often the same day as my temp rises the day after but by the latest it’s within 24 hours.

@Suggerhoney I’m sure that solid smiley is right around the corner for you! Hang on in there!

I’m still ill and still in limbo. CD39. This is rubbish!

Morning ladies, hope all is well!

Cycle day 7 for me today and bring on the sore boobs.. this is a common PMS symptom for me too though, so not looking into it too much. Also still a tad crampy off an on, and slightly gassy, I feel like that's usually gone by now.. the pinching has subsided though, at least for now. Also, weirdly I had this 5, maybe 10 second but of heart burn yesterday, but then it went away as quickly as it came.. so weird!

@jellybeanxx so sorry you’re still feeling cruddy. Hope it subsides really soon.
@Pink.Rose good luck! Sounds hopeful!
@Suggerhoney Im sure static smilie is coming your way soon.

Afm, 6dpo and my temp dropped a little. Ugh, i feel like im out. I ovulated Thursday, temp rise Friday, Sat, & Sun, but honestly my 18 month old getting that miserable flu and vomiting many, many times Sat, Sun, and Mon makes me think I wont conceive this cycle. Plus to keep him hydrated those 3 days & nights he was only nursing. I became painfully engorged. Totally worth it to help my son and I’m grateful for still breastfeeding. That kept him calm and nourished, but I’m sure the prolactin will mess up this cycle and probably make me lose my period again for a few months. :(
DH and i have talked about weaning, but we havent a clue where to start! Son is such a milk monster and we have a family bed. We considered moving son’s bed to our room. Just so unsure.

Weaning can be tough! All 3 of mine were weaned around 16-18 months. My best advice is to distract and replace, starting with dropping one feeding at a time (we dropped the first morning feed first) It's toughest when they are tired and start to cry, because they just want that comfort and don't understand why they can't have it anymore, but it does get easier. I'd still cuddle them until they fell asleep. It took about 3 days each time for them to accept it.

As for transitioning out of the family bed, we started with nap time in their own beds to get them familiar, then eventually moved to bedtime. They'd go to bed there then come back with me if they woke up in the middle of the night.

Good luck to you whenever you decide its the right time!

Thanks love. I pray you feel better soon. I really hope the stupid witch would show her face. It’s awful and I really feel for you, :hugs:

@HalfricanMa
I hope that drop in temp is implantation love. I wasn’t temping with my youngest, I got so fed up with it, like I am now, hence why I’ve decided not to temp this cycle. Trying to take the more relaxed approach but already feeling anxious it will be another BFN again. I’ve not even ovulated yet but I feel like I’m going to be out already before it’s even began.

anyway I was temping with my 3 year old and I had a temp drop at 7dpo and it stayed lower for about 2 or 3 days, and then it shot up. And I got my BFP at 10dpo.
Fx so much the temp dip is implantation. [-o<

@Pink.Rose
Hopefully those pains was a little beanie implanting hon. [-o<

@josephine3
Oh gosh it’s so boring isn’t it, waiting for ovulation.
I’ve found the first week of my cycle dragged so much. But it’s speeded up a bit now.

I just did a cheapie opk and it’s quite dark. Still negative. I’m hoping it I do one later it will be darker and then hopefully peak.
Because of that one cycle where didn’t ovulate, I always get panicky around this stage incase I don’t ovulate.

I want this cycle to be the one so so badly but I’m just gonna except more BFNs.
Praying for that sticky rainbow BFP[-o<

Thank you for those suggestions! I think the naps will be easier to adjust again. He was doing naps in his own bedroom before the deployment but military deployments tend to derail things. Hopefully we’ll get back to that. Replacement is a great idea on the milk front! We read all through the day but perhaps i’ll keep replacing bedtime nursing with more story time after bathing.
Thanks again for the support! First kiddo so we’re really just playing by ear.

Thanks! I didn't consider implantation because i thought it was too early yet but I suppose it’s not out of the question. I’ll stay hopeful! Good luck the next day or two! Sounds like you’ll get the static here shortly!

We are a military family too! Totally understand how the military life can shake things up for you, especially during deployments or PCS time. My husband is gone on missions every month and his unit is up for deployment sometime this year. It can be tough sometimes.

Oh it’s so tough! So great that you can relate! It’s a completely different life for sure. We got to ttc for maybe 3 months before he deployed and now that he’s back im so hopeful we conceive before another comes up. I showed our son videos of his daddy the entire deployment and now it’s precious how they wrestle again! He’s only been home for a week but the reintegration is going great! It was our first deployment as parents.
Your husband’s unit must make ttc very difficult!

I’ve just done another cheapie opk and looks fainter. Hopefully peak day is in then next day or so.
But considering how faint this latest opk is looking im guessing I’m no where near ovulation yet.
Feeling so disheartened. Was so hoping for a early ovulation.

CD10 and we finally managed to BD last night/this morning (what is 2am classified as? Lol) so I'm not feeling disheartened about this cycle. I may ovulate as early as tomorrow but almost certainly will by the weekend.

You would think, but so far he's always been home around ovulation time! If not on ovulation day then he left late enough that there was still a chance. I guess we have just been lucky in that regard. He's a flight nurse and is usually gone for about 5 days at time, give or take. That must be tough to have to take a break for deployment, happy you're able to get back at it though!

CD 2 over here. Heavy AF with clots. Not fun.

Do any of you have experience with using the PreMom app with Easy@Home Ovulation tests? I have just been using the Easy@Home LH tests by eye/manually over the last 10 cycles. I don't know if maybe letting the application judge the test line may yield better timing?
Thoughts?

I always always used the premom app and put my ovulation tests on there it has been amazing xx

@HalfricanMa I found the daytime feeds easier to drop, but my lil boy still had a wake up and a bedtime feed at 3! I think I enjoyed the snuggles just as much as he did and at that age I could explain to him that it was time and I made them shorter so he just had 'a little bit' until finally stopping. He actually never had a bottle at all went straight from boob to cup lol. But the daytime ones he didn't notice as was busy playing etc.
@littlewitch sorry for the sucky af. I might think about the app too is it free? I find it hard to tell which one is peak too x

How do you feel the app identified your peak compared to your idea of a positive or peak test if you were just looking at the OPK?
Do you feel like your timing was better with the app than without?
With this pregnancy, when did you DTD in relation to your peak test?

The app is free. I am not sure if reviews are biased, but people report good success with it. I am hesitant to add any more stress to TTC by adding it to my regimen, but at the same time...maybe it would help?
