May/June Flowers 2023

@NightFlower I'm so sorry to here about your cousin life is just so dam cruel hoping the red spotting is nothing serious love.

Well ladies I'm cautiously popping over 10dpo have faint line so be due on my late dad's birthday 17th May but they would induce me 3 weeks early because of diabetes xx

@NightFlower oh my gosh honey I am so so so sorry, I want to be there to give you a hug and make you some food, what an absolute sh*t time for you. Just so so so unfair and awful. I hope the spotting stops and baby is ok <3 How are your symptoms?

@tdog yay welcome!!!! So so so happy for you!

Also I just read a study of over 1200 ivf patients showing that hcg levels like I had at 11-13dpo demonstrated a 95-97% chance of NOT miscarrying in the first trimester. I literally burst into tears of relief when I read that. I had no idea they were such good indicators of long-term viability. Of course it doesn’t mean anything past the first tri (genetic issues, later loss etc) but for now my mind is so much more at ease.

@MrsKatie thanks love ❤️ and I bet you did that would have been a massive relief for you xx

@NightFlower
Oh love I am so sorry to hear about your cousin. I really hope the spotting stops love. I did have red bleeding in my last pregnancy at 6 and 14+5 weeks and it was a cervical Erosion. I really hope it stops and bean will be ok.

@MrsKatie
So glad you feel some relief.

@NightFlower yeah I don’t have to remind you how much bright red spotting (close to bleeding- but really it was heavy spotting) I had this time. Lasted 5 excruciating days.

Yeah the risks have frightened me a lot. Hopefully I’ll get some more reassuring news from my consultant. Yes the GP suggested to consider a medical TOP for maternal safety but the thought of that makes me sick. If it was such a risk for me to get pregnant again, why not tell me that bluntly. Also during my last section I asked for my tubes to be tied (why I don’t know, thought i was done) and the surgeon said no. That was whilst I was open still, surely if it was THAT risky she would have said yes no problem.
It’s definitely put a lot of worry and downer onto this pregnancy now.

so nice to see you here @tdog

i hope the bleeding settles soon @NightFlower

oh @IsabellaJayne what an awful person you spoke to! I have a friend who has 7 children and has had c sections with about 4 of them. I don't understand how some people get qualified to work in these places without compassion. I am a nurse and I was always trained to let the patient choose their pathway while being aware of all the risks and options open to them, I would take her words with a pinch of salt and wait for the Consultant to talk to you. She sounds like a dickhole.

I did a FRER today, I do them to check progression, today the line was so dark there was barely any dye left for the control line haha!

I've been crying a lot for no reason, anything is setting me off, feeling nauseous and dizzy so today I am taking it easy, I have a bit of a headache also but probably due to the crying lol.

i am a nurse too and would never speak to my patients like that. Inform and then let them decide. I hope my consultant provides more positive news

make sure when u see the consultant u tell him/her that u asked for your tubes to be tied and they denied. im with you if it was that dangerous than why would they not just tie them.
Don’t let this ruin your pregnancy love, your so very blessed to fall so easily. Enjoy every moment.
I wish it was me tbh.
But I am very happy for you.

maybe I will end up joining you all who knows eh

Also has the spotting eased @NightFlower

Great test @MrsKatie :D

I was on a downer yesterday. I rang my drs to inform them I was pregnant. Basically got told that a 4th section is risky for me after 3 previous and wouldn’t it be a tragedy if my 3 girls ended up without their mum if something went wrong like uterine rupture or placenta problems. That I should consider my options carefully and she’s written to my obstetrics consultant from my last pg for her opinion

safe to say I spent the night crying my eyes out on OHs shoulder :-(

I’m sorry your GP wasn’t very considerate, I feel I can openly speak on this because I’m going through it right now. (Trigger Warning) I’ve had 3 C-sections and this time around I have Placenta Accreta and will be having my 4th C-section and a very likely Hysterectomy because the placenta is attached to my scar, grown through my uterus and likely attached to my bladder.

its definitely a life threatening situation bug ultimately early diagnosis is key, what I will say is I’ve met and spoke to lot of women with very similar diagnosis and from what I’ve seen although the risk is higher with a C-section I’ve many who’s only had natural birth or some even on their first child.

it’s just one of those things and it isn’t a certainty it will happen to you, wishing you the best.

PS you don’t have to see the GP anymore you can self refer via the maternity matters website.

Oh gosh. Well this is what I frightened myself with delving into Google! How has your consultant reacted to the diagnosis? Will you deliver early? I’m so sorry you have this worry!

Ladies 11dpo today and my lines don't seem to be progressing like I would like them to :cry: I think maybe chemical will keep you all in the loop xx

It’s been a real uphill task getting the correct care, I had bleeding from 8 weeks which I was told was an SCH, I booked in for a private scan every 2 weeks to check how things were and was gradually told I had placenta Previa. The sonographer I had was previously employed as a high risk sonographer in the local hospital so I knew I was in good hands, she gave me letters to give to my consultant who did a phone consultation and I read what it said and he dismissed it.

I had my 20 week scan and it was confirmed that I still had complete placenta previa and needed to see a consultant, there wasn’t one available so the midwife saw me instead and she’d pelvic rest etc. I went for a 4D scan again with the private sonographer and asked for her specifically, she became concerned that I didn’t have a plan and contacted the consultant she worked with in fetal medicine who called me the same day and booked me in for a high risk scan, he was apologetic and empathetic when he told me my diagnosis but I had to go to St George’s in London to see a specialist who basically gave me the full risks and a glimpse of what I had to come.

He said there are risk factors and it is higher with each pregnancy however the fact I had it diagnosed now is key in both myself and little one making it the other side.

Just always advocate for yourself, I’m happy I pressed and got this far and I’m even more grateful I met someone in the field who made my care a priority despite it not being her job.

Update isn't a good one the spotting picked up last night. I got my tests today dipped a easy@home strip first so I didn't waste a frer and it's negative. I did have a clot and knew it was over after that. You can't shed lining and still be pregnant. I don't know if I can do this anymore. Besides my cousin passing away and now my baby . My OH his friend had a heart attack last night and passed. Just can't catch a break this week. I'm a mess and having a really hard time right now. :sad2::sadangel:
