Per Ardua.

Mine and hubbys friend was in afghan not long ago hes in the RAF regiment he came home a few weeks ago now. But the guy that died there (2sqn) was the sqn that took over from my friends.

Its so sad.

do we all agree with the war?

tricky question boony

i dont agree with the war at all but if my oh was to die out there i wouldnt want to be bitter thinking he died for no reason

May I join? DH has been thinking to join for some time, and we got pregnant and they pushed his shipping date much later. He actually joins the military in 2 weeks and will come back when I'm about 35 weeks pregnant. He leaves again a week later, and I will give birth here to our daughter then go up to meet him where he will be at school. :flower:

Yes, absolutely. There is a lot more that goes on than is printed in the papers. I have a picture I'll try and find. It's unclassified, so I can post it and is a poster showing the difference we've made in Afghanistan in a short time scale. Nothing on there gets reported in the news. They are only interested in death and propaganda to sell papers. If we weren't out there, they wouldn't be over here causing more 7/7s. There have been a huge number of plots and other potential deadly plans stopped, however most are restricted knowledge so sadly joe public doesn't get to know, and keeps assuming we are the bad people.

I agree. My oh often tells me things that have been going on and threats etc that haven't been told to the public. It's quitescary really. I think thatswhy it's not public information. Otherwise there would be massive panic.

Hey Becs - Good thanks. We're more settled in here now - yay! Hope you're well x

He's going into the Army. And we thought he was leaving in 13 days... found out this morning he's leaving in 6 days now. :(

Missy - I feel your pain. In Northern Ireland you only have to do a surface clean before you move out and that was bad enough for me! How long til you move?

Nicola - That's rubbish! :( but sounds like the Army over here, everything changes at the drop of a hat. We're all here for you to rant to if you like. x

2 weeks til we have to send our stuff

2 months til we fly,

but pre- march out tomoro!

Durr just seen you are off to Cyprus!!! OMG I am seriously losing the plot!!
