Stopping BCP to TTC***Updates & Progress/Noted Changes Since Stopping BCP***24BFPs***

I'm gonna jump back in! I believe I'm on Cycle 7 since stopping the BC pill. I'm CD9 today and started SMEP yesterday. Going to give it one or two more cycles of TTC before I contact my doctor to possibly run an HSG.

CrazyCharlie I see in your siggy that you weren't ovulating? If you don't mind me asking, were you temping and charting? Using OPK? What made you think you were O-ing and how did you find out you weren't?

Hi, ladies! Hope everyone has had a nice week so far! :)

Charlie, so sorry that you were feeling so down earlier this week! :( I'm glad to hear you're starting to feel better though. DH's work party tomorrow sounds fun, especially with staying in a hotel and pampering yourself! How fun! I hope you have a great time! :) And that's great about your blood work coming back showing a wonderful ovulation! Yay! I can't wait for you to test this weekend, I have everything crossed for you!

MsE, I really don't know much about short sells either, so I'm probably not much help. In my opinion however, I think you should go for it. Like you said, you're kind of stuck now as it is anyways. It might end up costing you a little bit more up front but if it means you can wash your hands of it and finally walk away from the whole fiasco, I would personally think it would be worth it. Sometimes we fight and fight for doing what's the BEST thing in the situation, and when it just doesn't happen no matter how hard we try, we finally just have to do whatever we can, even if it's not the most desirable option. Good luck, I REALLY hope you can get it figured out soon! And I love what you said about walking into closing looking fabulous and pregnant! :haha:

Emiloo, yay for withdrawal arriving and now leaving! I'm glad that you're now officially on your first cycle, I hope it regulates out nicely for you and you get your first AF on a nice, "normal" schedule. Or better yet, that you get your bfp instead! :D

Lavender, wahoo for a positive opk! Oh, my fingers are tightly crossed that you catch that egg! :)

MrsH, I would say I was pretty crazy that first month off the pill as well. I hate how my emotions are still a lot more...all over the place...than they ever were on the pill due to all the hormones. But I would much rather have that then be on the pill again!

Hi, MamaBunny, and welcome back! I really hope the SMEP works for you this cycle and you don't have to contact the dr for a HSG! Good luck! :)

AFM, I'm now cd8 and starting the eod bd'ing. We actually dtd on cd6 too so I guess I started it then. ;) Last month I O'd really early on cd10 and I think I might be gearing up for an early O again this month. I had EWCM earlier today (which is great since I don't usually have a lot of that, I was excited to see it!). We'll see what happens, but only being on cd8 makes me think early O again this month. At least this time neither one of us are sick and I'm more prepared for it!

Thanks turtle....so true. I'm tired of fighting....just go away. That's my new mode. Go away negative person.

Mamabunny: I was doing OPKS and I would get positive tests so I thought I was ovulating, but my cycles were really long (42 days on average). Then my period stopped coming all together and I was still getting positive OPKS and Negative HPTS . went to the Dr and had blood work done to check my hormones and all that jazz. Dr said I wasn't ovulating and that my body just wasn't sending a strong enough signal to do so. So I started clomid

So last night I had a visit to the ER and I hate to be this person because it's my pet peeve but I'd rather not share what it was for. It did happen to be related to that nasty rash I got a couple of weeks ago. The point of the story is the doc had to do a HPT so they can treat me with something that won't affect a fetus and of course it came back BFN. I told her I was only 7 DPO so she knew it would probably come back that way too. I just really have to make sure whatever they give me is safe for a potential fetus.

FX Charlie!

Sounds promising Turtle!

We need to all get BFP's so we can move on together.

MrsH, are you taking something for an extended period or is a shot or one dose type treatment? If there's a baby, blood sharing is a bit aways even if implantation would have occured. I'd take a guess that you're safe for a few days at least before you'd have to be too concerned of baby getting something it shouldn't...hope that makes sense! Hope you are ok!

They still have to test for exactly what it is before they treat me and I should know the results tomorrow. From what I've read online it's a pill that you take once and then again the following week. That does make sense and actually makes me feel a lot better. I would assume right now I'd be in the implantation phase so hopefully all is OK. If I were pregnant and this affected it somehow I'd be devastated.

Well if you do the follow up treatment, you could always just test again if AF hasn't arrived before the 2nd dose to feel better about taking it :) That is what I would do

Yes I could do that. Hell I'll just tell you guys what it is without the gruesome story.... I have a parasite. The docs were absolutely baffled because it's something that you don't generally get in the US. The seller of our house mentioned traveling to Brazil and the house was so dirty I'm sure that's where it came from. So I have to take the follow up no matter what to get rid of any eggs . I don't think it would effect a baby but the most common treatment would.

Hey it happens! If anyone else asks just tell them you've got a bug, they'll all think its a cold or something! You aren't lying, but you don't have to tell them everything if you don't want. I'd be so annoyed with the prior owners (I'm sure you are!!) Glad they figured it out though, that could have turned out so awful for you, although I'm guessing that it wasn't great so far since you haven't been in the new house too long, you must have been having issues. Hope you get on the mend quickly!

Thank you! If you knew me you'd know I'm an absolute clean freak, shower every day (sometimes twice) and am always washing my hands so I feel so disgusting right now. I want to jump out of my skin. DH has been very nice in reminding me that this is not my fault and I couldn't have prevented it so.... If I ever see the seller again I will have some choice words for him. From what we found last night I would have been exposed right around when we moved in and the fever/rash was my body trying to fight it off. I told DH I almost don't want to be pregnant because I don't want these things around our baby lol. But if I am I will be happy no matter what. Just got to make sure I communicate with the docs about it.

I'm pretty sure this will be forever the strangest thing that's ever happened to me. I mean none of the nurses or docs had ever seen it first hand.

Oh yikes, I hope that clears up soon MrsH! Parasites do happen as gross as they are. To be honest I've had a parasite in the past. I forget the name off the top of my head but it's one that comes from contaminated pork and is rare in first-world countries. I have no idea how I got it either! Lucky us!

I'd have some choice words for the seller, too. You'd think people would use common sense and take precautions if they've been out of the country, but nope. :dohh:

Well that does make me feel better lol. Now I'm really washing my hands because I don't want to pass it on to DH or the dogs. Was it hook worm? I'm very educated on these things now. I'm pretty sure mine is roundworms. Now I'm telling you more than I said I would but let's just say one decided to say hello to me and I completely lost it and made DH drive me to ER at 10:00pm.

My doc did say she treated herself for the same thing after having gone to Thailand but she never saw one.

Oh my goodness! What an awful way to find out!

I mine was Trichinella of some kind (T. Spiralis maybe?) so roundworm! I had an unexplained low-grade fever for two weeks, and I found out because a doc happened to run a test with a few others at that time for gut problems unrelated to the fever. Well, sort of unrelated as we found the parasite. It was a week or two on an anti-parasite medication and that was it.

You have no idea how much better I feel lol. I'm pretty sure I've had fevers off and on because I'll be blazing hot when DH is cold and I'm never hot. When I went to the ER for the rash they only tested me for viruses because it looked like a viral rash.

It was not pleasant and DH saw it because I started screaming so now I knew he really does love me lol. I mean it could be a lot worse but for me it's gross. Jokingly I asked him if he found me sexy when we got home and he just shook his head no.

you poor thing! REST REST REST!! ugh, people can be so dirty and gross.

but importantly....glad they figured it out!

So am I! It's nice to know I'm not crazy lol. I just want the medication so I can not be scared to use the restroom.
