Ttc #1 Positive thinking buddies, sticking together. (13 BFPs, 2 angels)

lol hairftsher I've been here all along ;) There were a couple talking about testing on Friday that's what I meant ;) hahahah

fx for all you ladies :hugs:

I forgot to take my OPKs to work yesterday so kept my pee to test later (TMI, sorry!!) and I only remembered to test it this morning. This was my result! This is the first time I've ever seen a second line on them, they've been stark white - same as my HPTs! As this is my first cycle using them I'm not sure what to think - do you guys think it's a positive?

I'm so sorry to hear that camichelle. Thinking of you and sending lots of good luck your way. Xx

Great to hear I have some more Friday testing buddies. However I am not sure I am going to make it! My temp dropped this morning so I can only imagine that means af is on her way :( this whole ttc business is torture!!!

Blood results today hopefully ....

Camichelle, prayers and best wishes that everything will turn out all right! :hugs:

hanrh, sorry about AF! :( I hope this will be the lucky cycle, then!

jumpingo, that's good about no abnormalities being found!

Good luck to those testing this week!!! Can't wait to see more BFPs. :)

Welcome to our new posters, as well! :flower:

Mintastic, I hope your day at work goes OK. :hugs:

Katrine b, I've cut out caffeine (sticking to all decaf) and my splenda habit :) I've heard splenda is OK from a few sources, but I'm being extra cautious. I'm sticking to stevia for a sweetener when I don't want to use sugar (Stevia has been used for over 1500 years, I trust it a little more than splenda LOL). Other than that I'm eating the same. I unfortunately have no input on the thyroid stuff.

Camichelle :hugs: I have my FX this is your sticky baby. Please keep us posted today <3

Good luck Samanthatc!

Loobs, that looks positive to me! I'm not that experienced with OPKs (this was my first cycle using them), so maybe post the pic on the general TTC board to get more feedback. In the meantime, get to BD girl

hanrh, today you get the results, yeah! keep us posted <3

As anyone made any drastic changes to there diets while TTC. IM trying to have less caffeine and drink more water. Just wondering if anyone has done anything crazy.

Oh boy have I. I even track my sugar and coffee intake on ff. Having read that it really impact o I was able to lay off both last week. And now I'm trying to do the same for the tww.

I think some of the other herbs I'm taking has made it much easier as I'm not craving anything.

Starluck that's awesome about the coffee too. I also switched this week to decaf too. Although I have used stevia I try to use honey as its more natural and less processed. Also be sure to check what's in your stevia. Usually the ones on the sugar isle still contain extra stuff. Try the whole food or organic or natural isle. They are usually labeled pure stevia and the only ingredient is...well of course is stevia!

I've also try to only eat organic, especially on things I eat a lot like eggs. I don't drink animal milk anymore. Mainly do coconut milk. Oh and plastics. I don't use plastic in the kitchen anymore. Too much estrogen. Glass, wood or stainless steel .

Loobs that looks pretty positive to me, I'd say get to it!

Hanrh sorry about af, but I'm glad you'll get your test results today!

Welcome samanthatc! Fx this is your cycle!

Katrineb, I think my only change is trying to drink more water and eat more fruits and veggies. Otherwise I can't skip my morning caffeinated coffee...I need it or I'm a zombie! Just the one cup though which I've read is ok. I don't drink anything else caffeinated anyway.

So I said I'd test Saturday at 14dpo, but oh my gosh this is so hard to resist! 3 days away seems like forever!! I'm losing willpower ahhh. I really don't feel any symptoms though, so I'm afraid of seeing a bfn...I didn't think this would be so difficult to resist!

NDurham, I know what you mean about the stevias with the extra stuff added (i.e. truvia). I am sticking to pure stevia. I like the organic one from trader joe's :)

MiaGirl, I hear you on how hard it is to resist! I was testing by 6 or 7dpo last cycle, even though I knew it was too early! It was just too hard to not try it out :haha: This time I am trying my best to wait at least until the day AF is due (approx. July 21st). Is your AF due on Saturday?

Af is due Sunday, as typically my LP is 14 days and I'm 11dpo today. I definitely can't make it till Sunday though. I was thinking my temp on Saturday morning would clue me in, but I just want to know now!

Mia girl - it is so hard waiting isn't it!!!y last couple of cycles I have been testing early and got so depressed seeing white staring back at me this cycle I decided to wait until day after af was due - like you! I have really missed poas though!!! Haha.

I think af has got me now :( very very light but I think it's just the start. And a day early!

Just rang the doctors to get my results... They annoy me so much!! The doctor wants me to come back in to discuss but isn't in again until Monday!!! So I panicked and begged the secretary to tell me the results as assumed it wasn't good. Apparently testosterone, lh and folate all normal but still waiting for progesterone. So fx.

Moving onto the next cycle... Does any one recommend any ttc books?

Miagirl and NDurham, your charts are looking great! I think we'll be hearing some more happy news around here soon!

This is not specifically a TTC book per se, but I got the Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy, which discusses everything from before TTC (tips for being more healthy, etc.), tips for TTC, and then month to month and week to week what to expect when you are pregnant. I also found it helpful after my mc, as there is a chapter on dealing with and recovering from loss, too. I would definitely recommend this book!

I am pondering testing on Sunday. It would only be 10dpo, but I have a really positive feeling this time around. :) We'll see... I won't waste a digital, though. I'll just use the internet cheapies I have left over from last time, although I can't say I was too big of a fan of them. Then, depending in the results, I'll either test with a digital very soon (if I get a positive) or a few days later (if I get a negative or it's inconclusive).

We're really hoping to get a BFP by July 19, my DH's mom's birthday. She wants a grandbaby soooo badly and it would mean the world to us to give her that gift! :)

MiaGirl, let us know if you decide to test earlier!

Hanrh, that is SO so frustrating!!! at least you could get some of the info from the receptionist. FX your progesterone comes back okay. But my understanding is that if your progesterone is low, it is an easy fix. I really recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility written by Toni Weschler. I read it a few years ago and am re-reading it to refresh my memory. It is full of really great information!

Karen, I haven't liked the internet cheapie OPKs I bought. I've yet to try the IC preg tests I have; will try one around July 20th and see! FX this is your time for a sticky baby!

Thanks for all your replies girls, today's OPK was much lighter than yesterday's so guess that was my surge. Lucky we were in the mood to BD this morning! Hello TWW! X

I actually called out sick again to work for my first two cases. Went to my third one so better than nothing. I hope they understand. My doc said I can have yogurt now in addition to the original restricted diet she put me on so hopefully adding that bit of protein back in will give me some more energy.
I have made major changes mostly in the form of going off a number of medications (under doctor supervision) also cutting down on caffeine which has been really hard. I didn't realize about estrogen in plastics!

Camichelle - continuing to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Loobs - oh I think that is earlier than you expected, yes? I guess we aren't cycle buddies after all. Happy BDing!

Oh and hanrh - I have 4 friends who used "Taking Charge of your Fertility" and got preg pretty fast with it. I skimmed it but I need to read it more.

tested this morning cuz AF is a couple days late and not even an hour after testing, stupid :witch: shows up. :dohh:

bring on august:roll:

Yeah I've totally changed my diet, I don't drink coffee at all now only one cup of green tea.i also eat mostly veggies and fruit no processed sugar. Yes and lots of water. I exercise everyday. I'm trying to just be healthier not only for baby but for myself.

jumpingo - sorry the witch got you. Good luck for August!
