Warning All Pregnant Women: Miscarriages From H1N1 Vaccine As High As 3,587 Cases

My husband and I were pregnant 13 weeks in November '09 and had a miscarriage. The ultrasound showed our baby died at 9 weeks. This was less than one week after getting the H1N1 vaccine. I told him I felt it had something to do with it. I will never be able to prove it. But I seriously felt in my heart it had something to do with it.

We are due November this year and as a personal choice, I've chosen not to get any vaccinations.

I'm not doing this back and forth stuff all night. That's my opinion.

Also... (slight teachers pet moment here  ) I'm not sure posting the same thread across all the forums is allowed? I'm sure SC has merged threads like this before.

Teachers pet :haha: You will be giving them an apple next

But yeah I think it's against the rules.
xx

I just like things to look tidy and organised ... i like consolidated threads where all opinions are in 1 place

*goes to deliver apple*

Oh, good, I'm glad you admit it's just your opinion. From this thread and other threads, it's like your walking through town and you see someone being stoned to death. You figure it's the cool thing to do so you pick up a rock and throw it too. It's just that most of your comments are so unproductive to the discussion.

Oh, I am so very sorry for your loss. :hugs:

I don't believe anyone has said anything nasty about the OP. Yes, people are understandably upset/annoyed at the title, no OP comments on the article and the posting of it over all tri's etc.

But no one has "personally" attacked the OP. Just the way it has been posted.

Again, a little forethought when posting articles and titles etc should be exercised....in my opinion.

I think people repeatedly telling her that she should have not posted it, is a little mean. It's over the top. It's been said...it would take an idiot now to not understand that the topic didn't go over well. It's called beating a dead horse, and IMO, it's mean, and just bringing more attention to this topic, that everyone so-called doesn't want to read.

Again, common sense and perspective
Too much bitchiness on this forum atm x

Awww hun :hugs:
I read an awful heart rendering account of someone whos baby passed at 40wks because of the same. Its hard not to believe its coincidence. But we have to make our choices through knowing all the facts and hope everything works out. Wishing you well in this pregnancy x

Everyone... you're being over sensitive. Do your own research. Make your own decisions. Let other people make their own decisions. Its ok to post thought provoking information, otherwise we won't know to think about it.

The end.

??? I literally have no idea what this means or what point you are trying to make? It is the most bizarre metaphor I have ever heard.

Thanks for calling me a bitch. I really appreciate that.
I happen to have a valid opinion, if that makes me bitchy, so be it, but maybe the word bitchiness needs to be redefined!

pixelle - she didnt call you a bitch it wasn't aimed at anyone she said it generally because generally our conversations on certain topics go this way not aimed at you personally im sure x

I think what blutea is trying to say is aob1013 tends to follow the crowd on here which I have to agree with. It's like she stalks around trying to find an argument that has already started and then goes along with the most popular opinion

As for the article I don't think it was wrong to post it in here or either of the other trimesters. People need informing, if you don't like the information play ignorant and deal with whatever consiquences your decision throws at you

Wow, i just read this to see what it as about, don't think there is any need for argument.
I have my opinion and i will keep it to myself, because opinions are clearly not welcome?
But i do think it is a little insensitive to post it everywhere.
I would let people do the research and decide for themselves.
x

AOB is a friend of mine. And we have discussed vaccinations etc way before this thread came up. Infact we had a discussion about it when someone asked about VIT K. She doesn't just agree with everyone.
xx

There's no need to get personal ladies, everyone is entitled to their say weather you think they follow the crowd or not. xx

Ok no need for the personal digs.

Everyone has an opinion on a subject like this and there is no need to be nasty if it differs from your own.

Please keep on topic or leave the thread.

It didn't take inflammatory articles to convince me to avoid the vaccine while pregnant. A friend of mine had her baby die in the first trimester at the time of her shot last fall.

When I read the manufacturer's package inserts, I was alarmed that it was being pushed on pregnant women at all! Every manufacturer has pretty much the exact same wording in their warnings.

Read for yourself:

Vaccination with Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine may not protect all individuals.

5.4 Limitations of Vaccine Effectiveness

Neurological disorders temporally associated with influenza vaccination, such as encephalopathy, optic neuritis/neuropathy, partial facial paralysis, and brachial plexus neuropathy, have been reported.

8.1 Pregnancy

Pregnancy Category C: Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine or AFLURIA. It is also not known whether these vaccines can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman or can affect reproduction capacity. Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine should be given to a pregnant woman only if clearly needed.

8.3 Nursing Mothers

Neither Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine nor AFLURIA has been evaluated in nursing mothers. It is not known whether Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine or AFLURIA is excreted in human milk. Because many drugs are excreted in human milk, caution should be exercised when Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine is administered to a nursing woman.

8.4 Pediatric Use

Neither Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine nor AFLURIA has been evaluated in children. Safety and effectiveness in the pediatric population have not been established.

*Sigh* ???

I did not call you or anyone else that. My first common sense statement was not aimed at you. Neither was the latter. They were said as a general statement to this thread (as i'm sure if you read it all again you can see clearly posters being mean and there is no need for it). I come on here time and again not to buddy up with people and take sides and act like a schoolkid. I come on here to read interesting threads and get advise on purchases etc! Time and time again, the most thought provoking threads are ruined by personal attacks, whether it be at the OP or people taking things personally that were said as an opinion. The debates on here could be great but they get closed down because of hormones (i presume). I don't follow people (however nice) i follow threads.

I really don't know what else to say as your reply has shocked me.
