Warning All Pregnant Women: Miscarriages From H1N1 Vaccine As High As 3,587 Cases

The OP is totally entitled to be anti vaccine like everyone else is to be pro, she should not be bashed for copy and pasting an article!

She may be entitled to her opinion but she isnt entitled to scare everyone senseless! There is a big deference between saying 'I think this and I think it because of this' and saying that there is a definite link between the vaccine and miscarriage. xxx

Seriously? Would this article really keep you all up at night?
I just think its a total over-reaction (not aimed at you btw just in general)
Again, i see more disturbing things on the news day in day out.

Hence why i mentioned perspective earlier. Maybe i missing something here, i feel real sorry for the OP right now x

Because maybe it scared her due to the fact she had teh injection? It may not have bothered you but everyone is different and reacts in different ways. It may have really played on her mind. Liek other things may upset you and it wont upset her
xx

It doesnt bother me personally but if you take a look at the same post in 1st and 2nd tri its scaring people. I just think it's been posted in a very insensitive way and has been purposely posted in this way to cause panic, which is wrong IMO. xx

yes the op is entitled to her opinion and entitled to post what she wants but this topic is already controversial for many people and i dont think it was a good idea to post on all 3 forums if you look on the other forums there are quite a few women already starting to panic or worry and thats not nice personally i think its scaremongering especially as many women have already had it as recommended by their healthcare professional and to them these threads are upsetting x

I didn't know she posted in all three tri's. Thats wrong. Thats really just scaremongering with the title the way it is. Us girls in third tri can breathe and pass it off but to be in second and first tri and read the post (or just the title) would cause me to panic and I'm not a worrier. :nope:

i agree totally the exact same thread is in all 3 and when i looked in first tri quite a few were getting upset already and to those who may have had a previous loss and have had the jab it can only cause upset at a worrying time ( first 12 weeks )

Just want to echo whats been said on another thread ladies. Any concerns about this atricle or it made you worry etc. Just talk to your care providers. Your MW or OB etc. I am sure they will put your minds at rest :hugs:
xx

Fair enough girls.. i haven't been over to 1st tri to read the responses i can only speak for myself as a 1st time mum. I always do research with regards to vaccines (would never just blindly accept something untested) and would imagine that most would regardless of whatever tri they were in. Just go easy on the poster and bash the research instead lol. x

Give her a break, for crying out loud!!!

I'm new here, and probably won't make many friends this way, but felt the need to comment.

Because the OP hasn't said anything else, maybe she saw this article and was scared herself, maybe looking for some sympathy because she had gotten the shot...?

She didn't make up the title to scare anyone, it was the title of the article.

I've been lurking throughout my pregnancy (I'm 36 weeks) and have learned a lot from this forum, but WOW...

Most of us at this point are emotional messes and I feel so bad for the OP who is (somewhat) being attacked for (possibly) just trying to help others out...I don't believe that she was trying to scare anyone...

I don't believe anyone has said anything nasty about the OP. Yes, people are understandably upset/annoyed at the title, no OP comments on the article and the posting of it over all tri's etc.

But no one has "personally" attacked the OP. Just the way it has been posted.

Again, a little forethought when posting articles and titles etc should be exercised....in my opinion.

Because everything else thats long gets moved to the 'groups and discussions section' :haha: xx

If she was trying to "educate" others or wanted others to make up their own mind, then with all due respect, she'd have posted a pro and a con article so that the readers can weigh their options. She'd also have posted research from a reputable source (which this most certainly is not). That is not what this is at all.

I had the vaccine, we made an informed decision as a couple and decided what was right for both myself and baby. Exactly the same way that we decided not to have other kinds of injections.

 i didnt even read all the way through it - its a badly written, badly sourced article from a non-medical organisation that is 100% anti-immunisation.

For those who are worried by its contents, i can understand why - it is written to add fear - speak to your MWs who i'm sure will explain in better (and well source!) detail.

I dont think the OP meant any harm, she jsut wanted to alert people - however must have realised this would cause a reaction when she read it - its harshly written and was bound to cause an emotional reaction- more a case of slightly careless posting than cruel.

I'd take this as a pinch of salt ladies :flower: xx

eta - where are the statistics taken from out of interest? they aren't worldwide - 3587 cases in the UK is a lot, but in the US - a tiny amount in comparison when you look at the population difference - another thing to think about perhaps  Obviously ANY number is bad, but in % terms its a drastic difference iykwim??

I think people repeatedly telling her that she should have not posted it, is a little mean. It's over the top. It's been said...it would take an idiot now to not understand that the topic didn't go over well. It's called beating a dead horse, and IMO, it's mean, and just bringing more attention to this topic, that everyone so-called doesn't want to read.

It's a load of crap and total scaremongering, OP you are anti vaccination in general so i think this was posted for a reaction .. and all over the tri sections, nice.

I meant no upset by this article. I just feel it is so important to be informed by the risks of vaccines. I posted in all three trimesters to reach as many ladies as possible. Next time I will post in the discussion forum. I wasn't trying to spread fear...I honestly didn't know it would cause this reaction. It won't happen again. Please take it easy on me.

To aob- I find your comment to be rude and judgemental. I choose to not vaccinate because I was injured by a vaccine. I am all for vaccine safety and if they could be proven safe and effective I might even get them for myself and my family. You and I have discussed issues like this before and you are always crude and mean.

Stop singling me out all the time, as you can see most people have agreed this is crap. Just because you were apparantly injured by a vaccine doesn't give you the right to post biased, unproven and 100% anti immunisation scaremongering information on a pregnany forum where some women will now be shitting themselves as they have had the jab.

Yes i do agree you should next time post things like this in the debates forum to avoid scaring people when there is no need.

To be fair AOB wasn't the only one who called it a load of crap/rubbish etc. Quite a lot of others did too
xx

Also... (slight teachers pet moment here  ) I'm not sure posting the same thread across all the forums is allowed? I'm sure SC has merged threads like this before.

Yes, there were others who disagree but you chose to personally attack me. You statment demonstrates that.
