Warning All Pregnant Women: Miscarriages From H1N1 Vaccine As High As 3,587 Cases

I don't believe anyone has said anything nasty about the OP. Yes, people are understandably upset/annoyed at the title, no OP comments on the article and the posting of it over all tri's etc.

But no one has "personally" attacked the OP. Just the way it has been posted.

Again, a little forethought when posting articles and titles etc should be exercised....in my opinion.

I think people repeatedly telling her that she should have not posted it, is a little mean. It's over the top. It's been said...it would take an idiot now to not understand that the topic didn't go over well. It's called beating a dead horse, and IMO, it's mean, and just bringing more attention to this topic, that everyone so-called doesn't want to read.

Again, common sense and perspective
Too much bitchiness on this forum atm x

Thanks for calling me a bitch. I really appreciate that.
I happen to have a valid opinion, if that makes me bitchy, so be it, but maybe the word bitchiness needs to be redefined!

Who called you a bitch?? I have just read through and haven't seen anyone saying that at all.

I'm not doing this back and forth stuff all night. That's my opinion.

Oh, good, I'm glad you admit it's just your opinion. From this thread and other threads, it's like your walking through town and you see someone being stoned to death. You figure it's the cool thing to do so you pick up a rock and throw it too. It's just that most of your comments are so unproductive to the discussion.[/QUOTE]

??? I literally have no idea what this means or what point you are trying to make? It is the most bizarre metaphor I have ever heard.

I think what blutea is trying to say is aob1013 tends to follow the crowd on here which I have to agree with. It's like she stalks around trying to find an argument that has already started and then goes along with the most popular opinion

As for the article I don't think it was wrong to post it in here or either of the other trimesters. People need informing, if you don't like the information play ignorant and deal with whatever consiquences your decision throws at you

What a rude comment to make. :nope:

....Anyways..................... I had the H1N1 vaccine when I was 14 weeks pregnant, was really unsure at the time what to do but in the end made the right decision for me at that time.

first tri have come up with the other side of this argument i thought this made good reading for anyone interested....
https://www.babyandbump.com/pregnan...ncreased-risk-h1n1-dont-discount-vaccine.html
2 sides to every argument x

It didn't take inflammatory articles to convince me to avoid the vaccine while pregnant. A friend of mine had her baby die in the first trimester at the time of her shot last fall.

When I read the manufacturer's package inserts, I was alarmed that it was being pushed on pregnant women at all! Every manufacturer has pretty much the exact same wording in their warnings.

Read for yourself:

Vaccination with Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine may not protect all individuals.

5.4 Limitations of Vaccine Effectiveness

Neurological disorders temporally associated with influenza vaccination, such as encephalopathy, optic neuritis/neuropathy, partial facial paralysis, and brachial plexus neuropathy, have been reported.

8.1 Pregnancy

Pregnancy Category C: Animal reproduction studies have not been conducted with Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine or AFLURIA. It is also not known whether these vaccines can cause fetal harm when administered to a pregnant woman or can affect reproduction capacity. Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine should be given to a pregnant woman only if clearly needed.

8.3 Nursing Mothers

Neither Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine nor AFLURIA has been evaluated in nursing mothers. It is not known whether Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine or AFLURIA is excreted in human milk. Because many drugs are excreted in human milk, caution should be exercised when Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine is administered to a nursing woman.

8.4 Pediatric Use

Neither Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine nor AFLURIA has been evaluated in children. Safety and effectiveness in the pediatric population have not been established.

Thank you so much for such a fantastic informative post!
i personally avoid any jabs altogether doesnt matter pregnant or not. I dont believe that they are 100% safe and leaflets clearly state that there is always a risk. Im one of those people who rather risk having a flu (or any other desease) than messing with my health by having jabs

I don't ever get the flu shot, nor do my children. I was paralyzed from Guillain-Barre which can be a side effect. Mine didn't come from the flu shot, but my doctor is adamant that I never have it for the chance of re-occurence. My kids only get the required vaccines for school, so they don't get chicken pox vaccine, or flu shots. Nor did my daughter get the Guardisil shot.

i've not read further than this just yet so sorry if someone has already posted. Guillain barre is a proven outcome of the swine flu vaccine, and can be fatal in pregnancy, the OP didnt mean to cause fear to those that have had it, jsut warn those that havent, i for one havent been offered it, but as last year when i was was pregnant i would refuse again.

AOB is a friend of mine. And we have discussed vaccinations etc way before this thread came up. Infact we had a discussion about it when someone asked about VIT K. She doesn't just agree with everyone.
xx

I have to agree. She has an opinion and she says it. Her and I have had apposing opinions before, and we have agreed before. She says what she thinks, that's all. I remember the Vit K discussion too.

This is the same vaccine i was offered here in early pregnancy. I refused it after looking into it.

Its entirely a personal decision and i dont think any mother would blindly accept it without making a informed decision for herself.

I agree that the thread title for those who chose to have the vaccine would hve been scary to read.

All the best everyone xo ....there is not right or wrong here, we ALL make the right decsions for ourselves, we all only do what we think is best x

Yes, that is what I meant. I'm reassured to see I'm not the only one who noticed aob1013's pattern.

I don't understand why it's assumed that aob is just "following the crowd"? There are a lot of people on here who have the same opinion as her, why is she being singled out? I don't think that's fair. Perhaps you have a history with her that I'm unaware of, but it just seems like she should be able to state her honest opinion the same as EVERYONE on here should be able to.
Sorry, I just genuinely don't understand.

As aob is, you are entitled to your opinion, but everything I have ever read that she has posted has been consistent and following her beliefs and morals  not following the crowd. I think she makes valid and reasoned points. But like I said, it's opinion so whatever you think.

I do feel that you could have put your point across without bringing stoning someone to death into it though. Bit of a stange one that and very over the top really (in my opinion of course).

this is what sparked my frustration:
It's a load of crap and total scaremongering, OP you are anti vaccination in general so i think this was posted for a reaction .. and all over the tri sections, nice.

And she posted this to the same thread on 1st tri:

I can't believe you have posted this biased, unproven crap all over the pregnancy forums.

Do you really feel this has anything to do with her morals or beliefs. This was a personal attack on me. I have seen on several previous occasions that she has posted insenstive, sarcastic comments meant to provoke a reaction.

Sorry, I just genuinely don't understand.

You are right...a lot of others posters were posting harsh comments toward me too. But, aob's post was especially irritating to me.

i think we should move on its just turning into personal opinions on each other instead of the original thread x

So do I bluetu and aob have clashed before and carrying it on isn't helping anyone
xx

I had the swine flu vaccine when i was pregnant and my daughter was born 12 weeks ago perfectly healthy and she is gorgeous! Dont let people frighten you. xxxx

This thread isnt about AOB or her followers/following the crowd stuff, so how about you continue the discussion as intended please ladies and if youd like to take something up with AOB then take it to pm, thanks :)

I was ready to drop it after the first comment but you and several others continued to judge my reaction and I felt I had to defend myself.

So, anyway...the vaccine is a personal choice and I was only trying to offer information. You (anyone) can critic how I posted it and what I should have done differently but it really doesn't matter. We are all grown ladies here who are capable of making our own decisions.
