WTT for #1 thread

Hey

Thought I would introduce myself after finding this forum last week and feeling SOOOO happy that there are other like minded girls out there who cant wait to try to conceive. So..a bit about myself,

I'm Jo, i'm 29 and live in Birmingham, UK
I got married last July and currently live in a rented apartment.
Both my husband and I are doctors and have finally, after 10 years of training and studying, secured long term jobs. We are desperately saving up for a deposit now and hopefully in next 18 months will be able to afford a house. :happydance:

I think I started to become broody about 18 months ago- think it coincided with some of my friends starting to 'sprog'(!) and it basically occupies 80% of my thoughts (is that sad?)

Love seeing pregnant ladies and then their new babies in surgery and cant wait until its my turn! I do get worried, ALOT, about whether we'll be able to conceive - not because myself or husband have any known problems but I obviously see alot of couples who do have problems.

Think we're planning to start trying in Jan 2013 -mainly as I want to have been in my job for a couple of years before going on maternity leave and also so that we are well on the way to being in our new house.

Love reading all of your thoughts/stories, and look forward to continuing to do so in the months/years to come

xxx:kiss:

Hello! I've already posted in a couple of other threads too but thought I'd say hi here :)

I'm Cat, I'm 25 (very soon to turn 26....yuck!) and I'm married to my wonderful wife Katy. We have 3 precious kitties - two little 9 month old boys and a 4 year old girl, 2 bunnies and a little hamster. I work in Social Services and my wife works in Insurance.

We thought we would have to wait years before TTC - we were going to buy a house first, and before that we need to pay off our debts and save the deposit. However, over the last few months it's become very clear that owning a home is not a priority we would put before having a baby. We're both desperate to have a child, and have decided to start trying as soon as we are debt free. Our loan has 2 years left so we started thinking we'd try then - but wife recently got a pay rise so we've worked out that with some serious saving and being frugal we could be debt free this time next year. Our fertility treatment will be pricey as sperm is expensive, but without our debt payments we will be able to afford it. I also need to lose weight - hopefully 5 stone - so I've given myself a year as a goal. I'm doing Weight Watchers and have just started Couch to 5K as well. I'm really hoping it works out for us and we can start TTC mid next year! We are both so broody :)

Hi everyone!

I'm Kerry and am WTT until September 2012. This will be our first baby and both hubby and myself are really excited!!
We have been together for 6 years and got married last July. We got a house together 3 years ago and have 2 spare bedrooms that need filling! ;)
Nick wasnt really broody until after we got married when he suddenly changed...
We are waiting until September to be in a better place financially but also because we are going on an amazing holiday to Australia (our last big blowout holiday!) in September and I dont want to be too pregnant when we go - you never know we could fall quickly if we dont want to!!

Good luck to all of you in your wait, and even more luck when the time comes to TTC! xx

Hi!

I've been with my partner for 4 years. We're getting married in December and will be TTC as soon as we've got the rings on! (Well, not literally, the vicar might have something to say about that!) xx

I've gotten to know many of you in other threads, but thought I would jump in this thread, too... just because:thumbup:

I'm Brenn, 25 (26 in November); OH is 26 in May; wttc because I'm in a grad program, graduating May 2013. We're saving for a down payment on a home, as well. Recently got insurance straightened out, so we are for sure ttc #1 in November of this year, barring any problems arise w/ my school or job!

I'm so happy to have found this site, it has helped me so very much!!

Hi girlies,

I'm CakeCottage aka Rachael. I'm 26 from Liverpool, UK and I've recently bought a house with my dearest OH, who is 30, and our cat!!! We've been together for 4 years but had been dating on and off for around 4 years prior to that!!

Buying our own place was one of the main factors in us not TTC just yet, we had been renting together before this so had lived together a while ha!! OH wanted us to settle into our new home together for around 6 months do we could see how our finances are after the big move!! He also wanted to come around to the idea of there being 3 of us instead of just us two (you know what men are like, can't cope with change ha!!)

So we've decided that we will be TTC as of June 2012!!

I'm fairly new to BnB and I'm so glad I can talk about our WWT journey as it's not really something you can bring up in everyday conversation ha!!

Rach xx

Hi everyone!

I've posted in other threads but thought I'd do a proper introduction here.

I'm HoneyBee, I'm 22 (23 in June) and my OH is 24 (25 in August). We have been together 4 years this month and are getting married a week on Saturday. We moved into our house 3 and a half years ago and have almost got it all the way we wanted except the spare room which we both agreed to leave until we were expecting as it was only ever going to be a nursery!
I've been wanting to have a baby for the past 2 years, OH has always wanted children but was happy to just "wait and see" (hate it when men say that!!). Unfortunately recently I had a bit of a health scare and there was a chance that I could struggle to conceive. Luckily it's all sorted now but it gave him a wake up call and we have now decided to start trying on our honeymoon

I'm really excited and so pleased I've found this forum so I can share my excitement with others who feel the same!

Hello all! I'm Annamarie from Texas! I am 25 years old and he is 24 (25 in October). My fiance and I have been together for 5 years and will finally be married on September 22 of this year! We can't wait! We have lived together for 4 of those years, so there really is no wait time for us once we get married.

Since we are so close to the wedding now, we are waiting until afterwards so I won't be huge on our wedding day. I also really want to enjoy wedding and the awesome honeymoon planned so BC pills are a constant right now! The fiance can't wait to have kids and the closer we get to the wedding, the more excited his family gets. They keep talking about grandkids and how much they want them. It really puts the pressure on you! He is an only child and the second (and last) nephew, so it really is up to us to keep the Kilgore name going. No pressure right? Hah!

Good luck ladies and I can't wait to keep up with everyone!

Hi!, I'm Hannah from Brighton UK. I'm 22, OH will be 49 in may :hugs:. We have been together for 5 years and 4 months :D currently we live separately due to housing/ finance issues  but are hoping to be housed within the next year Fx.

I would of liked to have started to TTC at the end of this year but after a serious talk with the OH we have come to the conclusion that next May will be better for us, meaning hopefully we will have a 2014 baby :happydance: I'm so exited!. :hugs:

Hi, I'm Charlie.. Have been lurking around this board for a while now but never noticed that there was a place to introduce yourself!! :dohh:

I'm 20 (very soon to be 21) and OH is also 20. We've been together for just over 3 years and have been living together for nearly a year.

I'm currently about to finish my degree and then hopefully find a job to start working full time and help us to clear some of our debts before TTC.

Our TTC date at the moment is December 2012 but am looking at getting married next year so that would push our date back to September/October 2013.

Good luck with all of your waits and I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with you all :hugs: xxxx

I'm Catlin, 29, and WTT because we're not sure if raising a child is what we wish to do. I'd have to be the stay at home parent because my husband is military, and that's not really who I am. But we'll see :)

Hi all can I join in? My name is annie, i'm 27 and my hubby is 30. We've been married for 2 and a half years and I've been desperate to start trying for the last 3 or four years. Unfortunately I've only just qualified as a nurse 6 months ago and due to a short term contract I've just started a new job so have to start counting up for maternity pay again! I'm so frustrated with the whole business because hubby doesn't feel the same urgency that I do and doesn't want to talk about it. I'm all the more worried because I found out last year that I have endometriosis and I'm worried about it affecting my fertility. Also two months ago we were not that careful and I had a very faint positive on a hpt only then to bleed and cramp heavily and no more positive. We're aiming to start trying in september but it just feels like such a long time away and like it's never going to be here. It's nice to know that others are feeling the same and have some support.

Sorry for the essay!

I'm Georgie, 22 and have been with my OH for 3 1/2 years. I qualified as a nurse in September last year and have been in post as a staff nurse for 6months now. We are WTT until October 2012 time which will be our #1. I'm finding it harder to wait at the moment, several friends has either just popped, waiting to pop, or just had their first scan.
Can't wait to be a mummy =)

Girly922, I qualified in September too! I really enjoy being a staff nurse. :)

mrswaffer isn't it great!? Hope you're enjoying it just as much as I am! And such a great profession to become a mum.

I also qualified then. I really enjoy being a staff nurse but it's a bit scary too! or is that just me?

My first day in the uniform was the scariest day of my life! I was shocked that doctors were actually talking to me like I knew what I was talking about.

Haha, how wierd!! I'm a staff nurse too! Of the paediatric variety... Qualified 3 years ago in September. Being around cute lil poorly babies who need a cuddle does not help my broodiness!!

Another new one to this thread. I'm 28 and OH is 27. We're WTT because we're definitely not ready to have kids right now, but we're getting to the point where we're getting to talking about it... and I need to get more comfortable talking about it, so I figured I'd start posting here. :)
