WTT for #1 thread

Hello everyone! I'm Courtney and I've been married to DH since May. I am 22 and he is 26. My husband finished his first degree in May 2011 and will finish his second this May. In the mean time, he is looking for a job. I will be starting medical school in July of this year and we plan on TTC in August (hopefully to have a LO during the summer break). This will be our first child. I am coming off BC this month and we will actively start TTC around June-ish. I'm so excited and nervous! Good luck to you all!

Hi Ladies, I am Rachel.
Been with mister for 6 years and we are getting married in September!
I live in little town in UK, I am a nurse working in Gynae theatres (which has really scared me about early pregnancy and childbirth ha ha)
Planning on ttc after the wedding, excited and scared!!

Nice to meet you :)

we really want a baby now, but im at uni at the moment and dont qualify until august next year.. then i have to get a job, which i have to be in long enough to get maternity pay.. and at the same time, we have gotta save to move to a house. we are in a 1 bedroom flat at the moment, which isnt ideal.. however we could make it work if there was an accident..

Hello everyone!
Im Brittani (21, 22 in March). My OH is 24. We are hopefully going to try for our 1st starting in Sept. of this year. We got married June 4th of 2011, been together since Dec 2008. I graduated from nursing school (RN) in May of 2011. My OH is currently in school to become a teacher. I am so excited to start trying, I have had baby fever for a while now!! My OH (Levi) has to have open heart surgery this summer and if everything goes smoothly Sept will be the month we start trying, if he has some issues that date will be moved back. I look forward to talking with everyone on here.

Hello All,

New to this forum and love it so far! I'm 25 and my hubbie is 27; we've been married for 2 years and together for 7.5 years. Were planning to begin TTC in May!!! Not soon enough if you ask me ;) We both have jobs which are demanding at certain times of year so by trying in May hopefully we would have a LO in our 'slow season'. I'm having a hard time waiting though because I cannot wait!

Hoping the wait goes quickly for you all!

Hi all! I just signed up for this site today, even though I'm not currently TTC, so this part of the forum seemed like the place to be.

I'm 22, the boy is 21, we've been together for a bit over two years and we're getting married in May. When we get our adult faces on and do the planning, the soonest we can start TTC is four to five years. When we're being honest, we're going to NTNP as soon as we say "I do." I haven't done any serious charting yet, I'm just tracking my cycle on an iPhone app.

Either way, nice to meet all of you!

Thought I would finally join this thread as there as so many lovely ladies here!

I'm 25 and have been married to my lovely husband for just over a year (we celebrated our anniversary a few days ago)! We have been together for 6.5 years. We live in North London. My husband works in IT and I worked in childcare for 7 years but am a housewife at the moment. The reason for WTT is frustrating to me as I can't put a timescale on it. I have had problems with anxiety/panic disorder for 10 years, which makes life difficult in some ways. I want to feel at my best and strongest to deal with the trials and tribulations that pregnancy etc may bring! I have been having CBT since May, which does seem to be really helping... I just want to reach my goals faster! Sometimes though, I think maybe it's not that big a deal and life's too short to wait for a perfect time that may never come. I'm sure some of you know what I mean!

Nice to meet all of you... sorry for the essay to begin with! :D

I'm Medzi - but my name is Meghan. DH and I have been together for about 7 years and married for 2. We live in Alberta, Canada and have a cat named Oswald and a fish named Mog! I have always lived here but DH is originally from Pittsburgh. I am 27 (28 in December) and he is 29. He works with computers and I do public relations.

We are WTT due to my kidney disease. We are both ready, are pretty well off financially and although we just rent, our place is nice and big enough to add one more :) I have my appointment with a Internist who specializes in medical disorders and pregnancy on November 10 and we will see what happens from there. Could move on to TTC or not - we will see!

Thanks for starting this thread BeeLT!

All the best dear and lots of baby dust your way

Hi all
I've just signed up today :)
Me and my hubby have been together nearly 7 years and have been married for nearly 2 years.
We've just stopped using contraception and were just gonna take each day as it comes....no pressure. I'm all excited about it, but I don't wanna keep talking about it with hubby cos I don't want him to feel pressurised if we don't conceive straight away.

Looking forward to chatting with you all and all helping/adviceing each other.

Good luck to you all ladies :)

Hey guys thought I'd join in. I'm simplepimple 23 (24 in may) and my gorgeous OH is (27) we've been together for approximate 2 years and 2 months and as you can see by my ticker it's just over two months until we ttc.

The whole broodiness and men not feeling it like women is quite simple as OH describes... Men don't carry the babies so they don't have that hormonal and physical connection. I do feel sorry for our OH sometimes coz it must drive them potty but mine is so polite about it.

Hi everyone!

I am vikster, Victoria in real life and I am 27.
I have been with my OH (29) for 7.5 years and married for just over 18 months. We both have busy lives and careers but feel ready for the next step. I am a teacher in a high school and am head of department, my husband is an account director in his company.

In December, we moved into our dream house which at the moment is far too big for just us so we will be more than equipped space wise to accomodate a baby. We have been very fortunate to be able to move to this house because with the space it has means that we will never have to move again so we can make this our proper family home.

We are TTC in august (I will be 28 by then) when we return from our summer holiday. We like to travel and decided that we would have one more luxury holiday just the two of us before a baby comes along and changes future hols!

I love this forum and getting to know you all and look forward to our journeys together xx

Hi, I'm Tish [25], and I am new to the site. Me and my OH [27] are WTT for #1 in April !!!! I'm am so excited I could burst! We live in Langley, B.C. and have a beautiful Boston Terrier.....I can't wait to start TTC!! I know our moms would be over the moon if they found out we were pregnant! They hint at it all the time....the wait is soooo hard and I understand how everyone feels....a good way to feel like I'm doing something is by changing my lifestyle to have a healthy pregnancy. My biggest challenges: exercising daily, and cutting out caffeine!! SUPER HARD. But its best....

Hey Ladies I'm Ashley I'm new to the site but really excited to jump right in to conversations. My DH and I have been married for 2 yrs and 4 months but we have been together for over 6 years. We tried one round of Clomid a couple months ago but when I didn't get pregnant we decided to wait until I finish grad school (May 2012) and get settled in with a new career. So hopefully we'll start TTC again this summer. I really wanted my first child before I turned 30 and I will be 29 in August so....
TTFN

Hi all! I am 27 years old, DH is 33 (34 in May 2012), and we have been married for a little over a year and a half. It will be 2 years in June! We live in Atlanta, Ga. We decided last summer (2011) that we wanted to start trying for our first baby around our 2 year anniversary. So we are aiming to start trying in a little over 4 months! In the meantime we have been focusing on paying off some debt and enjoying our alone time together!!!

Hi, I'm Enasy, I'm 30 and my boyfriend is 33. We have been together for just over 2years. We live together in an annex flat on the side of his parents house in Bolton UK. We are waiting to conceive until we can find a place of our own to rent, just so we have a little more independence. I'd like to be married first too but I'm fed up of waiting for him to ask and dropping hints lol

Very nervous about pregnancy and birth, have had couciling for anxiety about it but I really want to be a mummy.

:baby:

I'll join you ladies!

My name is Jamie, and I am 22 (23 in November). My fiancé is a T6 paraplegic and that alone will likely give us issues conceiving. I also have irregular periods. I have been prescribed metformin to regulate them.

We started trying in June of 2011, and tried up until November, with no success. My OH proposed on 11/11/11 (special meaning) and we decided to wait to try until after our honeymoon:

1) I don't want to be pregnant at my wedding.
2) I would LOVE to have the last name as my child when they come into the world.
3) I don't want to be pregnant during our honeymoon as I'd like to be able to drink, I do not want to be 'sick' the whole time, and most importantly, in case anything were to go wrong.

We will likely be planning our honeymoon for late December of this year (our wedding is August 5th) I have no problem "trying" while we are on our honeymoon.

We have also decided that we will be going directly to Genesis (fertility clinic) as soon as we start trying. I don't want to try on our own with little chances. We've already been referred so we should be able to get started right away.

I think WTTC is the best for us in the long run, as much as it hurts. Gives us a chance to save some money, I'll be further along in school, and we will be able to enjoy our honeymoon/wedding to the full extent!

Sorry this is so long, I really could go on forever!

HI all I'm Amanda both me and my honey are 24, I'm 11 days older then he is :haha: we have been together little over 3 years and the wedding is being planned fro next year. Were waiting to try till after the wedding and hopefully our own house. We are very devoted fish parents until then.
We have had one pregnancy, we lost Jesse in November of '08.

HI ladies!!!

Im Danielle my hubby and i have been married for 2 1/2 years together for 10, we did TTC january and february, but cycle #3 is currently on hold as i am getting LASIK eye surgery in less than 2 weeks, so we will begin ttc again at the end of april. Im 29 and my hubby will be 34 in a few weeks, i have wanted a little one forever, we both are settled in our jobs he is a Police Officer and I am a RN in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit), we have been in our new house for almost 2 years and are dying to finally decorate the extra bedroom. We have 2 french bulldogs which are our babies and our world, and they are spoiled rotten and we would love to give them a new playmate before they get to old. We are excited to start this new phase in our lives and add to our family.

Hi ladies, new to baby and bump - WTT set for May this year.
Both my husband and I are 28, together almost 6 years, married for just over 12 months.
We're both VERY excited to start trying, doing everything we can to prepare ourselves.

Hoping it happens straight away - I've been told by a lot of my friends who are now mums that it took them a lot longer than they thought it would.
