With my first pregnancy, I was with my in-laws the day after my BFP. I was so tired and thirsty and too caught off guard to fake drink. I tried to say it was just a hangover from New Year’s Eve, but my mil cornered me in the bathroom and basically made me tell her I was pregnant. That pregnancy ended in an mmc so she’s backed off more since.
Gag - fx it’s just from the wand.
Belle - Every 3 days is great! I didn’t get there until 2nd tri. Sleep is so important, and feeling bad definitely becomes the new normal.
That sounds awful gray. Maybe try magnesium? It can help with both sleep and constipation. I usually fall asleep no problem, but I wake up at 2 and 5. I take my levo at 5 so I can eat at 6 so that one isn’t bad, but sometimes I wake up at 2 and then every hour after that. If that happens, I just feel sick all day and work and taking care of my 1 yo are tough! I usually fall back asleep ok if I practice some deep breathing and do my bedtime visualization (I picture myself on the day we reached our first camp above the clouds on Kilimanjaro, sitting on a rock, looking out, and then just drifting off with the clouds as they pass by). So I guess a couple of things to consider: Are you napping during the day? Do you do things other than sleep and sex in bed? Do you have a good bedtime routine? Do you practice mindfulness and visualization. I also usually recommend that if you don’t fall asleep within 15 minutes, get up, do something low key/low light no electronics (I use podcasts for this a lot), repeat your routine and try again. Last night I watched a movie in bed on my computer (I usually avoid this but I’ve been doing it more bc my body is just so exhausted- making a human is hard work!) and then when I tried to fall asleep I was wide awake. After 15 minutes, I went downstairs, asked DH for a massage, he gave a nice long neck/back massage, then back upstairs and it was lights out. Good luck!
