April Dewdrops 2019

I'm surprised they would handle a cyst so aggressively Jamie, they often resolve on their own in time. Maybe it's a really complex cyst? My mother had a huge benign cyst, the size of a golf ball on her ovary. They just left it and checked in on it every few years. It didn't do anything really

Counting I love your name. I think it's a personal choice not a group decision picking a name. On the other hand my mother has fallen in love with the name and is already using it but we all have very old irish names whereas the in laws have traditional names.

Jamie I had cyst on both pregnancy with my DS it didn't go until I was about 26 ish weeks

That’s good to hear it resolved on it’s own... still time for mines to do the same! Did it cause you bother? Mines is causing me issues with pain in the front and backache and is pushing on my bladder making toilet trips more frequent. Did you have regular scans?

That’s what I thought too, I’m 1& weeks so there is still time for it to go. It’s a 8cm adnexal cyst. I don’t think they would normally remove it but it has been causing me a lot of issues pain in my front and back, Brown discharge that my midwife reckons is coming from the cyst and it’s pushing on my bladder making me feel so uncomfortable. I have a scan on the 14th December so will find out more then and I’m seeing this specialist at 22 weeks.
Did your mums cyst eventually go away on its own or did she need it removed?

As far as I know it's never gone away and she still has it. It was asymptomatic for her though. Yours sounds like it's causing a lot more discomfort. Although I wonder if the pregnancy has something to do with that as well (less space in there for it). Ask your doc if it's an elective surgery. It might be they're thinking just do a CS and get the cyst while we're at it, whereas otherwise they'd leave it be

I'm not sure if it caused discomfort as I had SPD from fairly early so I had that anyway.

Jamie - I'm sorry to hear about your cyst. I have an endometrioma on my right ovary (which is a blood-filled growth or mass caused by endometriosis, rather than a "regular" ovarian cyst) that causes some discomfort here and there but nowhere near the pain you're experiencing, likely because mine's only 4cm at this time. My endometrioma can only be removed surgically, it won't go away on its own. I expect they'll remove it at some point either because of size, symptoms or complications.
Your adnexal cyst is also not like a regular cyst, and larger and especially giving you a lot of pain, and that combined sounds like a fair reason for them to consider removing it... I wouldn't know if it can still resolve on its own.
I'd definitely ask any question you have. Get informed & ask about the risks associated with both waiting and surgery.

Belle it sounds like you're well on your way to having every bit of gear for baby you need. Well done finding some fantastic deals

Jamiesmummy praying for wisdom over whatever course your providers chose to take, thankful for now that they are keeping a watchful eye on things

I had a short stay in hospital over the Thanksgiving holiday. I have some known heart issues and had a bit of a setback. Home now and doing well, just a bit sore and tired. Babies were brilliant the whole time. We did get a sneaky thorough scan and they both look lovely. Baby A weighed in at 13 oz and Baby B weighed in at 12 oz and they are both constantly on the move.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Jamie - I understand yours fears. If it makes you feel any better I was so scared to have C-section after researching and watching YouTube videos stories. I found it not really that painful and was out walking at the park day 5! I had myself so stressed and all turned out well! I also have only one working ovary due to adhesions and have concieved twice from it! I know where you are at and you have every right to be upset but I just hope this gives you a little hope if you do end up facing either of those experiences!

I am feeling kicks! They make me smile! With my health acting up and not feeling movement yet I was getting really worried. I also worried he wasn't able to grow properly because he was so low in my pelvis still. In the last few days he has moved up into my actually belly, I have a bump, and feeling kicks! My anatomy scan is coming up I am so nervous/excited! I just hope everything is great dispute my health issues!

Tulip I'm glad everything turned out okay with the hospital visit. I'm so glad the babies are doing well! They sound so sweet!

Vaughan - Kicks! So exciting! Sounds like things are moving along for you despite some of those extra health challenges!

AFM I'm holed up in bed today. Not sure if I'm coming down with a cold or if I have the flu. I'm achy, chilled, thoroughly exhausted, have a wicked cough (at one point I think my lungs started spasming and I could barely breathe), and have a lovely tension headache on top of it all. My temperature was 99.2. I know pregnant women run a little warmer normally, so I'm not terribly concerned about it. Took a Tylenol and called in sick. I'll spend the day in bed beside my humidifier drinking whatever fluids I can stomach and resting. Hopefully tomorrow I'm feeling better as I hate missing work. It feels like there is so much that I want to get done before maternity leave starts, and it's frustrating when your body just doesn't cooperate. The Tylenol has reduced the headache and body aches thankfully.

Does anyone have any photos of their bumps at 19 weeks? I know my tummy is getting bigger now but still feel very self conscious that I just look fat and not pregnant!!

Maple. I just posted in the 2nd tri worried about my bump! Mine only looks prego when I wear maternity bottoms but even then it doesn't look like much of bump it's really small I almost just look chubby. Most people when I say I am expecting and they ask how far along I am they say WOW! I wouldn't even know your pregnant. I appreciated it up until now, now I'm starting to worry baby isn't growing enough! My scan is next week so that will give me some piece of mind. With my first I was about the same I now by week 20 though I had a round bump. I thought being my second I would show sooner but if anything im showing less. I say by 22 weeks we should expect rounder bumps!

Hey ladies, I felt the same way about my bump at 19 weeks... that I just looked chubby more than anything. People would often be surprised to hear that I was pregnant. I'm 22 weeks now and the bump is just now starting to become more obvious. Give it a few more weeks I'd say!

So glad to hear it’s not just me! Sometimes I look at my tummy and I KNOW it’s definitely bigger and sticking out more ... I’m just never sure it’s actually a round pregnant looking belly! It is much firmer now too so I probs have nothing to worry about. I guess I just thought I might look more pregnant by now!

My partner keeps saying how I look like I’m loosing weight everywhere on my body except my belly! Which I guess is a good thing!

I have my 20 week scan on Friday so here’s hoping everything will be ok!!

Everyone carries differently! I look huge already, which makes sense - I make big babies. It made me very insecure at first, but now I'm team So What? It was the same during my first pregnancy, got a lot of dumb remarks from friends and strangers alike. "Are you SURE it's not twins?!" Oh my gosh wow you must be right and my OB is super incompetent and must have missed it GFHGAFHGAGDA .
Anyway, there's no "should" to what a pregnant belly looks like on the outside at any given time. What matters is baby is doing well inside of it :)

My new response when someone says I hardly look pregnant:
"The other day I farted with a full bladder and had to change my underwear. I'm definitely pregnant."

This is 19 weeks with exactly 10 pounds weight gain. I am right on track for my BMI. There is definitely a lot of squish above and around the bump, but bump is firm and round shaped to the touch. I figure the squish is my intestines, water weight, and a little bit of insulation!

LOL this made my day and made me laugh when I'm having a bad day. Thanks!

Had my 21 week scan yesterday and we are still team green (go us for holding onto the secret, I wasn't sure if we would be able to or not) and my placenta has moved:dance: I am officially cleared for my home birth on that end of things. I was so worried but it's over 5cm away at this point. Baby is also looking healthy and happy in there, the scan took way longer than I remember so I hope nothing comes back but the tech seemed fine and I'll get the report sometime in the next week sent to my midwife and she posts everything for me to see.

Crown I hope your day gets better, I feel like I've had a pretty bad day myself today and it's only just begun. I'm sure the day will improve as it goes on.

Boo to all those out there who think they can comment on the size of a woman's pregnant belly. I despise all of them because it only adds to the self-conciousness. Me personally I just brush it off but there are people out there who it really bothers and it's not right for others to comment. All preggo bellies are beautiful in my opinion, big or small.

Thank you Belle <3 As you know it was a frightening ordeal.

So pleased for you AngelOb. That's fantastic news all around :wohoo:

Are any of you feeling really tired again? This week my energy level feels like the first trimester all over again! Baby has been making bigger movements which gets me excited. My son felt him move for the first time and so did daddy! 5 more days until my scan, I cannot wait I haven't had a scan to check on baby since 8 weeks!

Hey ladies!!
So I think we've decided on a name for baby girl. Rylin Elaine Lastname. It's so nice to have a real name to call her!! And nobody has had anything negative to say, so that's nice. Hope everyone is doing well!!
