April/spring babies 2013

Hi all diet and exercise for me from today, Tom has 8 seek check on Wednesday and I have mine on monday. The Dr will discuss contraceptives, not sure what to do hate them all:wacko:

Tom has appointment with a specialist in manchester on Friday about his little winky :( I don't want them to mess about with him, will have go see what they say.

Also I am going to start a thread about this for advice but tom was born with a little fatty lump on his back. It doesn't appear to bother him and Dr said it's just a 'fatty lump" but im starting to get all sorts going through my head and loosing bit of sleep over it. It's about size if 50p piece. I don't like how it is near his spine. Dr at hospital looked at it before I went home when he was born so that's three Drs altogether all saying don't worry but I can't help it. :(. I'm going to mention it at his 8 week check, and mention it again to hv tomorrow. What do you think ladies ? Has any one heard of this before.

KB mine have been saggy since i came home (maybe before but thats when i noticed it :( ) i still get engorged if i go too long between pumps, hope they dont get even more saggy  i had hoped they would go back once the milks gone :dohh: Your so lucky Lucy has stared to sleep so long at night :flower: im jealous LOL DJ loves his baths too :haha: so cute, his eyes go all big and he looks like he is in his favourite place ever :cloud9:

Doll you lucky lady having such lovely meals cooked for you :happydance: i havent set foot in the gym, not that i would have time as hubby doesnt help out much, he is kinda losing interest in me and bubs  hope its just a phase! Sucks your doc wont see you any more :nope: hope your new doc will be better

Apple whats happening with his winky?? Try no to worry about the lump hun im sure they wouldnt have let you go home if they were at all concerned but i think your right to ask your doc to check it out  if nothing else it will give you peace of mind :hugs:

The days seem to disappear so fast, i cant believe DJ is 6 weeks already  i make sure every day we have snuggle time :cloud9: love my little man so much, its amazing now he is smiling too makes my heart feel so full :D :cloud9:

I feel like someones stuck a grandmas boobs on my body lol. Oh says they aren't saggy I know he means well, but I can see it in the mirror myself so him lying about it won't work :dohh: she hasn't slept like that since. She seems to be getting worse at night, last night I got a hour but only because I dropped off with her lying across my chest. She just screams for no reason when you put her in her Moses basket

Layla won't go in her Moses basket either waste of pennies that was
Layla has slept from 7-2 last 2 nights got to love the heat knocking her out lol
I just got the slimming world magazine had a read through while eating the last bit of chocolate lol but I think I'm nearly ready to start

Sm make sure you have some time just the 2 of you we didn't last time and hubby said he felt left out as baby was my focus and I was mummy not Sarah we became quite distant thus time though we are making sure we have date night etc

LOL KB my hubby tries to tell me i look good and i just know he is talking out his back side LOL i am covered in stretch marks, my boobs are super saggy and im STILL a dress size bigger!! hate when men lie to save our feelings LOL Do you think she could have reflux hun? thats what DJ has and he is similar, they dont always actually puke with reflux but the main symptom is the crying/screaming inconsolably, not like colic

Rah your so right, we are arguing loads too cos of lack of sleep and kinda feels like we are just existing at the minute :dohh: hopefully things will get better  will speak to him about maybe building in a date night

I still havent been to slimming world, i should go tomorrow night, im so tired and he cries so much with the reflux im not sure i can face it :dohh: maybe i will not stay to class but get weighed to start things rolling

She didn't mind her basket before now She hates it! going to try warming it up with a hot water bottle before putting her down see if that helps.

I'm still a dress size bigger and my hips are five inches bigger now. My stretch marks go diagonally up both my bum cheeks lol, I didn't have stretch marks on my tummy till the week before I gave birth, and my boobs are covered :(
She could have reflux I don't know, she was being sick a lot but calmed down since changing her milk. Gave her some infacol and her sick was like scrambled eggs..

Me and oh tend to bicker at night time when lucys at her worst. We haven't had a date night or anything, but mil will look after Lucy when we go shopping to give us five mins silence lol.

My OH is playing mr. mommy so thankfully he helps out a lot and cooks but doesn't clean to save his life lol! he just doesn't have the nack for it.

Elijah doesn't sleep at all during day time now, he just wants constant attention and gets bored so easily. But those smiles and giggles win us over each time!!

I have to admit that I was very lucky not stretching too bad with this pregnancy and had my body back almost immediately. But I always compare myself to my personal best and I was very toned before pregnancy so of course Im going for that six pack again and working out everyday. Once you start it isn't too bad, it actually gives you tons more energy with the bubs. I took some progress pictures a few days ago and even the smallest changes motivate!!

Oh and Eli is 3 months today!!

Yay happy 3 months Eli :hugs:, doll I admire. Your motivation, I wish I had it.

What is it with the oh,s lol, mine seems to be in same frame of mind. I must say he is really good with Tom but doesn't seem to be that interested in me. He has had a lot of other stuff going on recently so I've put it down to that but I do feel it a bit. I'm hoping I'm just a bit hormonal. He always tells me he loves me and I know Tom is his world but he just seems a bit distant from me in other ways if you know what I mean :) I was going to talk to him about it but I've decided not to because I don't want him to feel under pressure he he doesn't need it at the min. Us women just plod on don't we :)

Sm, it's the skin on his winky, not quite as it should be, hoping he doesn't have to be circumcised, we are going to refuse it at the min anyway as we want to see how it goes as he gets a bit bigger.

Got Tom weighed. And he was12.7 :) he sleeps from 9.30 to 2 and then until around 5. I got him this vtech musical sheep from home bargains for 7.99 and he seems to like it. I just put that on everywhere we go. I think it calms him. I'm conditioning him lol x

I'm still trying to cut down, got lots of low calorie snacks and going for lots of walks.

my oh will make meals etc while I'm seeing to Lucy, and will tidy up but is dead to the world at night. He doesn't hear her even when shes next to him crying, so when he said he was Tierd and I was here with 1-2 hours sleep per night, I had a few choice words for him lol. He helps with one or two night feeds now, and Lucy seems to have dropped a feed so I'm feeling more human!
my tummy went down almost straight away after birth but the skin left beind means I don't know what sizes I am in anything anymore .. tried some jeans on yesterday. Fit everywhere but wouldn't close cause of my hips. :dohh:
I want to use oh's rowing machine and do sit ups etc, but he moans that he likes my 'pouch' and doesn't want me to loose the stone back to pre pregnancy weight, he said I will look Ill and I look healthier now. But I get hungry at night and tend to snack so I won't be losing anything soon.
Some days Lucy sleeps a lot, but others shes wide awake all day theres just no way of settling her which means she will be overtierd for night time. She loves lights, we have a strip of lights along our ceiling that changes colours, it always stops her crying.

Hi all, went to manchester children's hospital today with Tom, it's looking like he will have to have surgery on his little winky :( im gutted x

Will have to have it before his second one birthday :( I suppose it's better when he is younger than when he was a teenager.

Just waiting for an appointment with this lump on his back, Dr looked at it today and he also said it was a fatty lump but still to go and see specialist for a scan, I will feel better once we get results of that.

On a different note my eldest left school today, I feel well old lol, he also went for first interview and got the job in a cafe lol, I wouldn't tell them about how many plates I have to ask him t bring down from his room per week lol, such a typical teenager, hopefully he will earn some money before he goes to college in September's and stay off the xbox lol...

Hope you're all doing ok, getback on when I can :) talk soon x

Happy 3 months Eli!!! bless him staying awake all day playing :flower: hopefully that means more sleep at night for you?? LOL my hubby is no good a tidying or keeping things under control he makes a mess all day and wont even notice it but when it comes to blitz clean (for visitors etc) he's your man! i just stand back and let him get on with it haha!!

Sorry ladies, been having a tough time with DJs reflux  he is struggling so bad and in lots of pain :nope: we were back at the hospital today and they have increased his meds and said to stop the gaviscon for now, we will see how he goes and have an appointment to go back on thursday

Apple im sorry Tom needs to have the operation but defo agree he is better to have it while he is young and cant really understand and will also be less to worry about as a teenager later on  whats the v tech sheep hun? sounds fab, might have to see if DJ would like it...i'll try anything to keep him happy :haha: how are things going with your hubby? we are still arguing loads and dont seem to see eye to eye on some things with the baby, so annoying. but my parents are taking the baby for a couple of hours tomorrow so im hoping spending time together just the two of us will help

KB Lucy is adorable! love that mini mouse outfit so cute :flower: im covered in stretch marks too  cant wait for them to fade :dohh: my hubby said he doesnt hear the baby either, he says its cos he is my side of the bed! rubbish, i have seen him open one eye and go back to sleep! cheeky bugger :growlmad: he also says many times he will help out with the night feeds when he is off the next day but its like pulling teeth to get him to actually do it LOL DJ is very different depending on the day, some days he sleeps loads and others he just wont settle i dunno how much is to do with reflux and how much is just being a baby  would be nice to have a routine though LOL :dohh: How is Lucy now? still calm on the new milk?

yeah she's a lot better but you still have to wind her after every oz so she isnt sick. she seems to be awake a lot more now, but shes been nosey since the day she was born lol. she tends to fight her sleep more now, shes too worried about missing anything. :haha: she usually wakes up over the smallest movement when youre trying to put her in her moses basket, but last night when we were trying to wake her up to wind her because her eyes were rolling around, she just wasnt having any of it, she was completely passed out.:sleep:

That sounds like Layla awful to wind impossible in the night I end up doing all sorts of winding techniques for ages trying to get something back
Layla won't go in her moses basket at all I think its coz she can't see shes fine in the cot or on the play mat so it's not that shes flat
Hubby will turn over in the night if im lucky he says oh she only woke once last night erm no try 4 times or the odd occasion he will pass her to me and go back to sleep

Got a date night sorted for Friday dvd in and im cooking a nice meal and just booked tickets for jimmy Carr in sept can't wait

We have horrors winding DJ too  i read today that chamomile tea can help, im not sure about giving him any direct but im still pumping so im thinking if i drink some it should go through to the milk eventually

Thats so funny Lucy is so nosy  bless her thats a sign of intelligence (so im told) DJ does the same thing not settling soon as he goes in his moses basket, this is a new thing, im thinking its to do with the reflux for him, but then again he is like Layla in that he is fine on his change mat, cot or play mat so not to do with laying flat either :dohh:

ohhh and he has STARTED to latch!!!!!!!!! I was over the moon, 4 days on the trot he has latched and fed for 5-10m mins :happydance::happydance::happydance::happydance: hope he carries on :cloud9:

Your date night sounds fab Rah! much better than popping out for lunch together like we did yesterday :haha::dohh: still was lovely just being the two of us :flower:

Thats great that he is latching for you
Layla only feeds for 5 mins a time but goes 3hours maybe more so sounds like hes getting good amounts

Thanks hun, if he.keeps.it up I'm gonna take him to another bf class so they can check if he's actually drinking, until then I'm going to keep giving the bottle after, if he's hungry he will drin...so worried his sugars will drop like when we were in hospital.

Also I can't believe I forgot to type this but your girls are beautiful, such a lovely picture of them is it professional? X x x

I would just drop the bottle for a day see what happens he will let you know if he is hungry might mean he feeds more frequent till he realises that there is no bottle after. Just keep an eye in his wet nappies can you hear him swallowing?
In work we weigh pre and post feed no nappy change or anything just do it once or twice dont make it a regular thing just for reassurance
His sugars will be more stable now not like a newborn

Thanks. They were done in mothercare our store has pixifoto inside £10 for the sitting and a free photo but we had to buy a few more lol I'm rubbish at saying no when it comes to the girls
