congrats jenny and SM! cant wait for pics!!

Cherry: were considering/trying pumping? if you want to do it, keep at it! i could barely fill a syringe the first week and now at 7 weeks I pump 3-4 oz per session and I am finally a few feedings ahead. These containers are 4 oz!

Thanks doll ill keep at it lol until it disappears i guess or when i start to wean her on solid in a few months time.

Yeah Jenni when in yesterday morning i think And Sm went in on monday. Not to sure why she got a section though. Hopefully she will manage to get online some point once she is home lol. Jenni has been on facebook and posted pik of her lo

Well my little monster has gain a whomper.. She was 7lbs 3oz last thursday and today she is 8lbs and putting her clothes back on she pee'd this has happen to me 4 times and ryan nil.. she even pooped after i changed her poopy nappy lol she likes waiting until i have that nappy off to do the loo and its always me .

she's been a bit more restless fighting sleep through the day to hope its just a fase or this is her growth spurt lol xxx

Hi girls, hope everyone is well! Can't wait to see pics of sm and Jenny's baby's! Exciting times girls!
I was changing Bjorn and he peed right up in the air and it landed all over his face and his little mouth! Poor thing, needless to say he cried his little eyes out!

I've only managed to post pictures of Tom on avitar how do attached it to comment, I'm not very technical lol x

Also just wondered how people were getting on if expressing, ? I was managing 3/4 oz problem twice a day lastweek now I'm really struggling, I'm worried I'm losing my milk. Tom is still feeding from me but he has a bit of formula as well but when he does I always try to express.

Apple that is one little cutie you have there! He looks long like Bjorn? Maybe that's the pic though? Bjorn was 51cm when born!
Love the name Tom too! But my husband is called Thomas so couldn't call him that!
Not expressing myself so I'm not too sure what to say? Maybe ask a mw? Or lactation consultant? Xx

Anyways ladies thought it just say we had our app at the sick kids today and paiges hips still arent in the right place so my lil girl has to were a harness for the next few weeks hopefully not the full 12 weeks lol xxx

Hey ladies,

Sorry i have been missing, we have our baby boy but was a bit of a drama. We went in for the induction on Sunday night believing we would be home the next day but just got home tonight!

So, i was induced but the baby was in distress so they broke my waters and put a thing on his head to monitor him, there was meconium in my waters and every time i had a contraction his heart rate dropped to they rushed us in for an emergency section. Baby had the cord wrapped around his neck 3 times, his arms, body and legs! They said it was the longest cord they had ever seen.

Since then, he has had a few worrying signs and they tested him loads and loads and we spent the week with our hearts in our mouths but they have said he is healthy and allowed us home today.

It has been very emotional but we are happy and safe and have our little man with us finally. I hope this doesnt scare anyone cos its unusual circumstances and the only thing i would say is, if it doesnt feel right kick up a stink till they listen and check you out....ohhh and gas and air is the most amazing stuff, they had to wrestle it off me to give me the spinal block for the section haha!!!

I havent read whats been going on since my last post yet but i will do and i will try and catch up tonight or tomorrow, hope your babies are doing well xxxxxxxx

Cherry thanks so much for your support and keeping everyone updated, i really wanted to get on here but seemed like someone was always in our room poking and prodding either me or bubs so i never got the chance Im sorry Paige has to wear a harness hun hopefully it wont be for long

KB any more signs of LO? I have to say those big granny knickers are just a life saver, i really dunno what i would have done if i hadnt picked up a pack the day before

Jenny a Massive congrats on your little girl! I saw the pic on fb and she is adorable

Ohh and i was wondering how you find out how much to feed bubs and when to increase their intake? My milk has come in but he wont feed he latches on fine but then goes to sleep....little sausage! So i been expressing, i had a electric one in the hospital but stuck with a crappy manual one at home, gonna send hubby out to get a decent one today cos i havent been able to pump much at all!

So glad to hear you home now hun so is Jenni lol. I see her post early on fb my other friend from the scottish babies thread had her lo this morning

Funny how we both has sections eh. Ohh I had this thing that freak me out and i ask another mummy from here since she had a section before me and already had a lo before.. Well anyways i had this snotty discharge the other night there and again once i woke up . Appartenly this is normally lol but i was like what the heck. It sort of like your plug and i think ive stopped bleeding to now. I did google up aswell to find if this was normal after pregnancy and one said it was normal and they stop bleeding after it to which was nice to read lol but still yuk!!

Sm you welcome hun i didnt wanna steal your thunder either but i know just how much of a hassle it was being in hospital after a section. I was glued to my phone going in lol but trying to get through the contractions at the same time haha now good.

Hope your both well hun and glad there is no other problems.

think paige is now starting to stay awake longer through the day but she keeps awaking up in the morning after the feed an hour or two later and doesnt go down so easliy but then by 8-9am she's down for a bit but prefers to be held close so i wore the sling over to mums today lol was nice and easy. good to use if you need the loo and they wont settle haha xxx

Have no idea about the plug thing! I'm still bleeding but I guess that goes on for weeks? The mw keeps telling me not to have sex for 6 weeks I'm like don't worry about that! No chance! I look like road kill down there! (Sorry tmi!)
Does anyone else just find themselves staring at their lo? They are So beautiful. X

Thanks Rah its so nice to be in our own home now and no one barging in the door...usually whilst expressing lol dont think anyone in that hospital hasnt seen my bits!!

Thanks Cherry Yay Jenny for getting home hope Niamh is doing well Yeah its weird that neither of us expected them and ended up with them....how did you cope with it? Im struggling a bit to be honest i'll have to keep an eye out for the discharge, i hate stuff like that but the midwife said mines leaking a bi so i expect i will end up with the discharge too

I thought the bleeding stopped quick after a section but the midwife told me today its up to 6 weeks although mine isnt too strong, was yours?

Rooster i keep staring at our LO and i like stroking his face, so precious

Sorry iv not been on, only got discharged from hosp yesterday afternoon.

I hope everyone is ok :-D

Niamh was born Tuesday morning at 9:40 via planned section. I was an absolute nervous wreck. My blood pressure kept dropping and sending me odd, kinda like super spaced, tingly, dizzy and sick, I have a low bp naturally anyway, but I noticed the nottom bp number go to 30 at one point. Took a few days to levelnout, but its back to my normal 55 now :-D

I was so shocked to hear her cry straight away, hubby held her next to me and o saw her little face and lots of ginger hair lol :-D she was 8lb dead on :-D
We had some skin to skin time in recovery once I was able, and she had her first breastfeed.

On day 2 she developed jaundice, and had to go in a light box, she was only in there for 24 hours or so, I was so worried tho. Then day 3 they weighed her, she lost more than 10% of her birth weight :-/ so I had to suppliment with bottles, which im still having to do.

Also day 3 I went a bit loopey, and they put me in a private room and let hubby stay over, I was a mess!! Im very greatful for their help.

I will get some pics up asap, am on my phone at the mo.

Is it me or has anyone else's house been consumed by baby stuff lol.. Everywhere I look there is clean washing pile or dirty washing pile, bottles toys lol... Tom isn't even three weeks yet lol. I know it probably sounds daft but I'm sure I'll be more organized when oh goes back to work and it's just me not Tom .

OH is fab but just keeps making me rest and I'm dying to get on with stuff. I should stop complaining lol x ill want him back next week. Gonna miss him loads when he goes back to work

Still breast feeding but giving formula sometimes still in day as don't seem to be able to express as much as I did

I'll try and upload a couple of pics of Tom, he is doing well, weighed 9 lb 10.5 last week so breast and formula must be doing something.

And yes me and OH just stare at him for hours he is amazing.Such a little character already and likes being picked up lol xx

Hey ladies im still here, two days over due and no sign of lucy coming anytime soon I brought a breastfeeding bra yesterday the woman came over after i had gone try it on so she stood there and told oh how to tell if im fitted right lol. Ive got a sweep on thursday hopefully she will be here before then!

Jenni and sm congrats again!!! So happy you are both well after some scares!

About feeding in the beginning your bubs are gonna fall asleep a lot so keep waking them up to feed. Our doctor said the amount you feed them is age in months +2 ounces so a newborn would eat 2Oz and a month old 3 Oz etc. Elijah is almost two months and takes anywhere from 2-4 Oz per feeding.

We were suppose to move this weekend into a two bedroom but the apartment wasn't to our liking so have to figure it tomorrow if we are gonna pick a new one or stay here which is a 1 bdr.

Also today is Elijah's due date! Lol
