Beach Bump Graduates!

Thanks Mel, yes thank goodness my parents are coming! I'm exhausted though and have Nct tonight which I now can't be bothered with but really should!

That's sad about your friends little boy, guess thats because he was early? I know that's why they are pretty much against sections before 39 weeks unless they absolutely have to. Hope he gets out soon.
And yay to only 2 weeks!

I hope your NCT meeting goes well Hann! How is Annabelle now?

Mel that's so exciting!!! Not long now.... :D That's sad about your friend's Son, hopefully he'll get better and be out of care soon.

I'm just making the most of Naomi's nap by painting my nails and having a rest!

Mel -- My BH contractions have been different this time for sure. With Maisie they were a bit painful at times just because they were so strong, but this time I'm getting really crampy ones thrown in the mix and they're freaking me out. I didn't have crampy contractions like that until I was hooked up to pitocin with Maisie. I wonder if it's just different because we're on #2 or if we'd both go early this time?

But I feel like the frequency of the crampy ones has been increasing and I also feel like my cervix has been doing something over the last few days so I'm beginning to wonder if the crampy ones may be doing a little something afterall. Someone smack me. I can just feel myself starting to expect her to show up within the next 4 weeks. Sure wish nesting would happen, my house is a mess, lol!

Aah mel that's really sad about your april buddy, i can't imagine not having that first initial cuddle with my baby... Still at least he's here in one piece and will be fine soon. Must be hard though... So scary that you'll have a baby in 2 weeks! Wow. I don't know where the time has flown.

Julie, i hope i didn't worry you about the low fluid, sounds like you had zero problems with low fluid with maisie - wowsers, that is impressive! Sorry you're feeling so uncomfortable. I would def try not to worry about work, that'll all be immaterial soon!

Oh hann poor annabelle, it's so horrible when they're sick and not themselves... :( Thank goodness for your parents coming later! And how annoying about greg's flight, was it cancelled cos of the weather? Is he managing to fly out on another flight? Where's he off to again? Hope you manage to enjoy the nct class tonight and meet some great people, despite being knackered. Is it the refresher course you're doing? lots of questions!

Caz, how's neel today? I hope you and ajay dont catch it! You must be looking forward to tomorrow...

I've popped back home as I have a new cleaner starting today so obviously didn't want to leave her here on her own. Trying to get on with some work but feel so unmotivated! Doesn't help that the house is FREEZING, as no one's been here for a couple of days. Paul's back tonight and that's the end of his travels for a few weeks - yay!

Simmy -- No, you didn't worry me! :flower: I was already worried. :haha: But not really actually worried about it, just an in-the-back-of-my-mind kind of thing with all the other labor/delivery/baby worries. :winkwink:

We finally have a closing date for our house! Next Monday! So, I really will be ripping up carpet, laying flooring, and painting walls at 37-38 weeks pregnant. :haha: And I'll be a two hour drive from my hospital while doing it all, at that. This should be fun! :haha:

Oh yikes! Surely not?! Surely DH will be doing all that stuff?!

Great news about the house though and i guess it'll be better to be there before the baby arrives. She just better hang on a little longer!!

Julie - I agree with Simmy, your OH should be doing all that manual work!!!!

Han - hope your parents are helping out loads.

Simmy - how exciting that Paul is home for a few weeks now :) lovely!

Mel - hope you're not in too much pain.

Maria - love your down time - painting nails and relaxing which she naps - yay!

So off work tomorrow. Neel is still really rough so I need to take him to the dr tomorrow. He isn't getting better and is feeling really miserable and sorry for himself. He hasn't seen Ajay now for two days - it's tough doing it all on my own plus wokring I have to admit. Especially as Ajay was up at 6.10 am this morning, I'll be in bed early! x

Forgot to say Mel I'm sorry about your friend in the April group. I hope her baby is ok :( xxx

Oh dear i hope he's a bit better by tomorrow, that must be hard caz :(

Leo was up at 6.15 too this morning... Luckily i was able to drop him off at nursery at 9am and go back to bed for a couple of hours! I will miss that when i'm on mat leave haha. We are trying to figure out what we can afford childcare-wise when i'm on leave. Gotta do some budgeting!

Just back from Nct - it was good! Nice people so hopefully a better group than my last one!
It is a refresher course which I thought would be boring but its actually quite good to talk about it all again!
Greg is now in Paris, he should be in Cannes. He's getting a flight there in the morning and is very annoyed. At least he is with a friend he works with otherwise it would be even worse! Feel very sorry for him.
Annabelle woke while I was out but has gone back to sleep, guessing she'll be up again soon.

Julie - you never know you could be close after all!! It sounds promising!

Caz - so sorry about Neel, he'll have the flu jab this winter won't he?! Hope you are okay, last thing you need is another person to look after!

Mel - hope you are okay and not in too much pain

Georgie - hope you got a break for a bit

Simmy - I sympathise on the early wake up, we are right there too, awful!

I think I can hear Annabelle stirring, great - long night ahead for me I'm guessing!! :)

Aah glad the NCT class was good - I was wondering about doing the refresher course as well. Good luck with A tonight - lets all hope for later wake ups in the morning!

I've got my consultant appt tomorrow afternoon. Bit nervous as this could be the decider of whether I have a c section or not. Mel, if you have any advice I'd be v interested! Paul is coming along with me as he can be quite persuasive!

Night night all x

Up at 5, an hour after giving calpol and ibroprofen Annabelles temperature is 102!

Oh no Han! Poor you.

I went to bed at 945 and Ajay is now stirring.

Simmy good luck for your apt today x

Thanks, managed to get the temperature down by just having her in a nappy for 2 hours. I expect it will rise again soon. So tired - not only been up since 5 but was up 4 times in the night too :(

Oh Hann, glad to hear the NCT class went well, not glad to hear you were up so much with Annabelle you must be exausted, poor both of you! Hope you can get a rest today!

Littlespy, wow, next mon! thats close! Does that mean thats the day you actually have to move? Im not sure how it all works in the US, pardon my ignorance!

Caz, hope Neel is feeling better today and you get a rest!

Georgie, boo to 5am wake ups!

Simmy, good luck with your appointment, if yours is anything like mine the consultant wont have a clue about your last birthing experiance so just explain how it went and how you felt/feel about it this time. I would certainly think if its a c section you want you wont have any issues getting one based on your past experiance. And dont let them bully you. I got offered a birth choices meeting with a mw, not sure if its offered everywhere but it was really useful so may be worth asking about. Let us know how it goes!

AFM, Am taking H to a singing group with a friend this morning and then for lunch, giving Alan a break and a chance to get a few bits done. Then hopefully this afternoon i can just crash out lol
My pain hasnt been as bad the last couple of days luckily, so Hann i think you were right re the nerve or similar, very relieved either way!

Oh I hope your appointment goes well Simmy! That's good that Paul's going with you for support.

I hope Neel is better soon Caz, do you get to have a rest today? I hope so! It's very tiring looking after everyone!

Oh Georgie!! 5am!! You must be shattered!! How are the children doing?? Is Joshy loving being a big brother?

Glad your NCT thing went well Hann! I hope Annabelle's better soon, you must be exhausted!

Julie how exciting about the house!!! So so you move in next week?

Not up to much today, Naomi and I will have a quiet day I think. Holly has ballet after school then I'm going out this evening to see my friend so that should be good!

Hi girls,

Han - an early morning and night time wake ups are not good :( Feel for you. Are your parents there? Can they help at all?

Mel - hope you're getting your rest this afternoon.

Neel is getting better thankfully. He seems more himself today and is still off work unwell. Ajay is napping and has been asleep for 2.5 hours! It's unheard of for him recently but he has been in such a bad mood today. I think it's his teeth as he is grinding his teeth and screaming a bit in pain. Poor chap. I took him to toddler group which was fun but he was clingy and looked a bit unhappy.

Maria - out with a friend, sounds lovely!

Han - forgot to say that I';m glad the NCT gang were nice.

Found out about a trip to India with work in May which sounds good - I've been before but not with work and it's only three days. It will be tough missin Ajay but I'm glad I can do it in three days and hopefully that would only be two nights away from home. x

Hi all,

how's annabelle doing now Hann? When Leo was really ill a while back he had a high temperature for an entire week, on day 5 i eventually took him to the docs and the antibiotics were the only thing that got rid of it (turned out he had a chest infection). Hope that's not the case with annabelle as hers is prob just teething but if she still has a high temp then best get her to the docs. Hope you're not too exhausted :hugs:

Caz, a work trip would be good! I miss doing stuff like that. Always good for the old career! Glad neel is feeling a bit better and hope you've managed to chill a bit today.

Maria enjoy your night out, sounds fun, what are you up to?

Mel, ooh singing group sounds fun, does H sing or do you end up doing most of the singing? ;) Thanks for the advice re the consultant. I am so glad i wrote up my birth story last time as otherwise i wouldn't have remembered anything!

We're still having early wake-ups here too, it's a killer! I didn't put Leo to bed til 8.30pm last night in the hope he'd sleep a bit longer, but no, still up at 5.30am (and of course knackered in the process!). At least paul's back now to help wiht the early mornings.

So the consultant appt went amazingly well! I was so impressed, he was lovely and hilarious, he started off by saying, "Well i just read your notes and your baby was about 4 months late", which immediately made us laugh and put us at ease. He was very quick and didn't really need me to go over leo's birth in much detail. He looked at me and asked how tall I was, I replied 5'0, so he wrote in the notes "short mother, big baby with gigantic head which never engaged, she blames head size on the father" (LOL). Bottom line is that I can have a caesarian if I want it, and his view is it would end up that way anyway. If I go into labour before 40 weeks (which is highly unlikely give how late leo was), I could opt for a VBAC but I can still choose to have a c-sec. And he also promised that they would definitely not induce, because nothing about the induction was a success last time. AND i saw signs all over the place at the hospital (Watford General) that they have recently refurbished the labour and post-natal wards and have loads of private rooms which you can pre-book if you're having an elective. So basically, I'm confident that I will have a MUCH better birth experience this time! I've been so impressed with the hospital and all its staff, soooo much better than Ealing hospital!

That's amazing Simmy! It's a relief for you to actually see someone competent. So will. You have it scheduled at 39 weeks or 40 weeks? Yay anyway!

No change here, very upset baby girl, sooo hot still. I'll see how tonight goes but look at taking her in tomorrow if there's no change. Really hope she gets better tonight though.
