Prior to starting fertility treatments (Clomid), I was a doula and an apprentice for a midwife. But, I knew that I tend to have eventful pregnancies, so when we started trying I took my leave. My husband's income can support our family while I stay at home for a year after baby is born. So in January 2021, I hope to either resume what I was doing (apprentice to become a CPM), to enroll in the Midwives College of Utah (apprentice and get a bachelor's for CPM), or start University to become an RN and from there get my masters in Midwifery (CNM). CPMs can only do home births, whereas CNMs can do home births or hospital births. Regardless, I'm a nut for birth and it's a true passion of mine to learn about it all!
