***January 2020 Testing Thread***

It's lovely to see all these lines coming through what a great start to January, congrats to all :)

A little update to my venting post earlier. About 2 hours ago i went to the loo and saw a tiny bit of brown mixed in with a tiny bit of cm. Im 12dpo (going by Flo app) and af due sunday.

I went to the loo again just now and nothing on the paper. I even (tmi sorry!) got the tissue to have a 'wipe' inside and it was clear.

I'm not usually one for spotting before period - I'm more likely to get a lot of pink brown stain on the paper the day before - but given the proximity to af o can only assume she's coming earlier than usual. At least it saves me buying a lot of tests tomorrow! I can't see that this would be any IB at this stage....:-k

Thank you to everyone who replied to my crazy paragraphs and hope everyone continues to have a good January! :D

Hi I'm in my TWW and @ 5DPO.

Symptoms so far, which are probably from O day:

-Tender nipples
-Slight constipation
-High CP
-Creamy CM

Just waiting till the end of next week!

DH and I tried for 10 months in 2018, only to find out I have PCOS... so now TTC w/o fertility help for now, but if needed we will go that route. We took a break once we found out I have PCOS cuz it was stressful, so we never started the metformin.

Thank you all, ladies! I am still on cloud 9. Decided to do a pretty simple "announcement" to bf - it was his bday a few days ago so I just told him there was another gift I meant to give him, but the "delivery was delayed" (pretending it some kind of online order). Then handed him an envelope with a card inside that read "Oops! Looks like your gift is delayed for another 9 months" and "congrats daddy!" :D

He was sooo happy and couldnt believe it! We both cried (me more so than him) and it was just such a moment of bliss :cloud9:

@Pineberry When is your edd?

Due date is the 3rd of October! :yellow:

@Deethehippy - I am so sorry AF came, love :( Im still leaning toward it having been a brief chemical... Not that that makes it any better! I hope your next cycle will be the one <3

Oh and Hi Leemcmee, welcome!! I had an abundance of creamy-ish CM @ 5 + 6 DPO and just got my bfp so could be a good sign. Also, I am sorry about your diagnosis and to hear that your TTC journey has been tough so far. I really hope you get your well deserved BFP soon.

Could use some thoughts on this.

First pic inverted is a clear evap. I've had evaps before and they're always colorless/grey and thin. Which this one was. Then the next couples pics, I took a frer, and within 10 minutes I got a squinter of a pink line within 10 minutes. It happened again on another frer, a little bit darker, but still a squinter. Tried to take more, but no line is showing up. Yet, when I retake the first signals, I'm getting a thick pink line after an hour, which is the last few pics. What is going on?? Also, they are easier to see in person and the ones with color really do have color, they were just washed out a bit due to the camera. I'm also on CD36.

Feeling a bit better today. OH has been brilliant and says we can try lots more next month, so great to have his full support :) February is my birthday and valentines day and our anniversary so would be a fantastic month to get our BFP.

Hope everyone else is ok. Have a great weekend!

Hi everyone. I was hoping I could join. I’m 5DPO I think. I had a LH surge on Saturday which showed positive at 4.30pm but was negative again at 9pm and felt ovulation pains on my right side on Sunday. So hoping I did ovulate, can a surge be that short though???! I really hope I did. Can’t help but want to POAS . Anyone else at 5DPO???

@Pineberry CONGRATULATIONS I am sooo happy for you! And what a sweet way to tell your bf!

Welcome to all the new ladies on the thread! Hoping for lots more BFPs to finish off January!

So I think I found head lice eggs in my daughter's hair this morning . She's 6 years old. It's been a couple years since we've dealt with head lice on the kids. I found 3 eggs this morning (thought they might be sand from them playing in the snow) but they were really stuck on her hair. So thinking it's eggs. Going to have a good look with a flash light tonight. I put her hair up with lots of hair spray, so don't need to worry about her giving them to anyone else. So much for a relaxing weekend ... this is what some of you ladies have to look forward to haha.

My two often get lice (their school seems to have a real problem with it and some people) I gave up with the solutions and shampoos because they don't ever work for us and don't kill the eggs. I just wash their hair and use lots of conditioner after and then used the fine toothed nit comb to slowly comb it through. After each few strokes wipe the comb and see what you get. The eggs are small brown ovals and the lice can vary in size but are long and often moving on the comb. Doing this each day or at least every other we get it under control. But it is a full time job and I don't envy you. Sometimes I have to physically pull the eggs out of their hair because even the comb won't pick them up.

When my daughter last had them 2 years ago it took us 2-3 months to get rid of them for good. We would treat them, kill any live ones. Pick through for eggs, obviously missing some, even check through daily for half hour or more. So every few weeks the eggs we missed would hatch and the whole process would start again.

Her hair is longer and thicker now!! I'm so hoping that I'm mistaken but know deep down that it was eggs... tiny and had a slight tail, mostly black in colour but also some white. My son had lice once and the eggs were black not white, found the bugs so I know what they look like. So I know there are lots of different strains out there. Also, that some bugs are immune to the shampoos, so some shampoo types work better than others.

Going to be a head lice party tonight with lots of laundry this weekend. \\:D/

Well you’ve got to keep it up until you find no more eggs or lice for a week or two. It’s a nightmare, my twin girls hair is long and thick too and they sleep next to each other. I’ve never seen white eggs or black live though..only ever brown. Maybe you saw something else?

Sorry to repost but does anyone have a really short LH surge and has still gotten pregnant?

Don't forget, healthy sperm can live 3-5 days. So just make sure there is sperm in there for when the egg is ready. (If I've got that right, the LH surge is when you release the egg?).
