July/Aug 2022 babies ❤️

Welcome to the group! What a beautiful conception story!

Mizztina so glad that your first scan went well :). Such a fun milestone

Hayleigh hopefully they let you rest!

hi everyone! sorry this is a new website for me so i apologize if i'm not doing this right!
i am 5 weeks and 3 days as of today. we tried for a long year and a half before finally getting out positive. i had some bleeding on monday but got my HCG levels tested and they were at 7961 which is high for 5 weeks. i repeated yesterday and they more than doubled! almost at 19000. i gusss i'm just wondering if anyone had experience with this? i read it could be normal, twins, molar pregnancy, or down syndrome. i'm terrified. my first child is special needs so i am just at a lost of what i would do... can anyone ease this crazy brain of mine?! i repeat hcg again tomorrow and expect it to go up at least another 10000.. my doctor wants me to go in for an early appointment at 7 weeks so the week after christmas and i know genetic testing can't be done until 10-12 weeks. anyone with high hcg levels and have a perfectly normal baby? i'm so worried

Welcome! Congratulations on your rainbow! I plugged your numbers into countdown to pregnancy’s beta doubling calculator, it’s doubling every 38 hours. Totally healthy and normal. My experience with twins is that we all doubled daily in the beginning. It’s not an exact science though. I was just shy of 16k with my son at 5w3d. This time, I was 40,907 at 5w6d then 52,270 two days later. I had a scan that showed a fetal pole at hb at 6w4d because my hcg was noted as high/I’m having a lot of pain. She was sure to check for multiples and there was only one. I did measure 4 days behind though so that was not the best feeling. I will say I tend to implant early so idk of that’s why my levels tend to be “high”. I got my back with my son at 8dpo and 9dpo with this one, with implantation symptoms coming in 2-3 days prior.

thank you so much for replying! how far along are you know? did you possibly get any genetic testing done yet? i'm just so worried there's something wrong

Babymomma89 great scan

hayleigh if you just had it over the summer, here’s hoping you still have some antibodies left and you recover swiftly and without complication. I agree the big thing is keeping comfortable, keeping that fever down, and keeping hydrated. Hope you feel better soon

I appreciate all the well wishes. Turns out the migraines and high blood pressure are likely stress. I’m pretty numb and detached. But I did force myself to do the sneak peek test and...

I’m sorry I haven’t been keeping up. The migraines are bad and now my chest is hurting as well/my blood pressure is borderline hypertensive when I’m stressed

Congrats on having a wonderful little girl ❤️

#-oDo you ladies have any advice in watching your sugars ? Doc told me she wants me to do an early glucose test and I gotta watch how much weight I gain

Gwen, that fear is totally normal. I don’t qualify for genetic testing. My family history/age isn’t a risk. So I just get the standard ethnic based ones and nt stuff. My son had autism, an expressive speech delay, sensory processing disorder, and was small for gestational age. But his genetic testing came back normal, so they won’t test this pregnancy. I want to know as much as possible because having one child with special needs that requires so much, I would never be able to provide the same quality of life to either of them if both children had special needs. I was told to consider amnio in that case, but my mom lost a baby that way so not really something I jump at. I’m currently 7w4d my prenatal is on Wednesday.

Baby, thanks! No advice sorry. I don’t have much of a natural sweet tooth. So just the usual cut out as much artificial sugars as you can. My big thing is access. I eat what I have access to. So if I don’t buy food loaded up on fats and sugars, I can’t eat foods with sugar in it. And like I said, I don’t like sugars so I rarely use it in my cooking. I’ve heard of replacing sugar with organic honey. I did that in a banana nut bread once because the amount of sugar it called for was crazy lol

Thanks I got rid of all the junk food I had at home but this baby is craving sweets like it's going out of style and I'm trying be super careful

Babymoma, when I has gd with my second they suggest brown bread just because it was more filling and for something sweet fruit with cream, also cheese is a good one but not for something sweet sorry u can't really remember too much from it all!

Redrose, not long for your scan now, livy Xmas present!

Hayleigh, how are you feeling with covid?

Dobby, how are the migraines now?

Mizz, congratulations on the scan! How did your other children react?

Hm, what lovely news for you all! Congratulations and welcome to the group

Gwen, sorry I haven't got any advice for the high betas, I hope the sacn goes well
Congratulations on the pregnancy and welcome to the group

Welcome to our newbies :) so exciting seeing more join us.

@star25 I'm really struggling this time round. I'm hydrating as much as I can but the coughing is making me sick. I'm a few days in now so hoping I'll start feeling better soon x

Star, they’re better. Turns out it was stress induced. So as we get closer to winter break, they’re better. But when s* hits the fan, it’s instantly unbearable and I’m miserable for hours.

Hayleigh, really hope you feel better soon and you have the chance to rest

Dobby, ahh stress induced makes sense, I'm glad they're better, hopefully you can stay stress free!

I'm feeling a bit crampy and back achy today
No nausea really, the next scan can't come quick enough, I'm worrying too much, less than 2 weeks to go though

I have a friend who had GD with both of her successful pregnancies. She limited herself to ice cream as a sweet, and she would have a very tiny bit in a very small bowl so she felt like it was filling the bowl. It worked for her.

I’m at 5 w 2 d today and totally freaking out all the time. My patience have been basically zero with the kids and DH, and I’m nauseous at random times. I definitely feel pregnant, but I also feel like this just won’t last. The trauma of all of our losses makes it impossible to relax. I’m transferring to a local women’s center bc my specialist is an hour away, and I don’t have that kind of time while caring for all of the children. At least my specialist prescribed 200mg of progesterone twice a day until I can get into the local center. Now I’m just waiting for my records to transfer so they will schedule me.

I want to be a part of this group, but busy life leaves me less available that I was with my daughter’s pregnancy. Plus the site seems a lot more glitchy and full of ads than it was 6 years ago....anyone else have this issue from their cell phones?

Yes very glitchy and full of adds

I’m glad it’s not just me, but it’s such a pain. I would really like to be active in this group, but I can’t even update my signature without it resetting a billion times.

Hm

I found it better to go to the bottom left of the screen and change the style of the page, the ads don't pop up in the way all the time, it was driving me nuts before, I've used this site for years but I very nearly gave up with it being so glitch, mines on XF default and its easier now I've got used to the change of layout etc
I've attached a pic so you can see at the bottom where to change it Screenshot_20211219_082315_com.android.chrome.jpg

Agreed. Luckily I noticed if my page reloads and I lose my post, I can just refresh the page and it’s back as a draft. But I save short posts for my phone and long posts for my computer.
