Sperm Meets Egg Plan Chart/Stats *New 2011*

Welcome to the SMEP Chart/Stats Thread!

This thread is meant to chart all those using the SMEP method in an effort to show that it really works! I'll be posting monthly success rates (with %) so we can track it all! If you'd like to be added, please leave a comment with the date that you will be testing.

For clarification purposes, the SMEP is as follows:

• Buy 10+ OPK
• Starting on CD10 (if you have a 28 day cycle), do one OPK test daily (testing for the LH surge) & BD every *other* day (elevate hips for 10-30 minutes)
• When you get a +OPK, BD that day and the next 2 days in a row (so total of 3 days in a row )
• Skip one night and BD once more the next day
• Take a home pregnancy test 14DPO (most of you will start taking your HPTs at 7-10DPO!) and hopefully we'll all get !

Statistics: Apparently 40% of post-miscarriage women will get pregnant on the first try if they are faithful to the plan, approx. 2x the number of the population who are not on the plan. This assumes, of course, that you waited for a normal cycle to begin after your loss, and did not begin trying before having a period after a miscarriage. Many women do not ovulate in that first cycle.

MCs will be noted as and will look forward to their next cycle! They will be counted toward the total BFP count for the month.

im doing smep this month for 1st time! got positive opk yesterday so this will be our 2nd night. but my little girls not well, being sick and other end too!! not nice. but hopfully we'll manage tonight. af is due 18/2 but gonna try hold out to 20th if no af, see my signature as to why. good luck ladies. xx

I am 40, TTC number 3 with a big gap. Implanon removed September 2010. I am also taking Soy and will be using Conceive Plus this month along with Smep

Hey all!

CD1 today and am all geared up for my first month following SMEP!!

Am gonna vary it slightly, and do OPKs from day 8 cos I think I O'd early last cycle, but otherwise I'm with it to the letter!

Test date will be March 3rd!

BRING IT ON! TEAM SMEP!!!
