Team No-Test!

Still spotting. I'm sure AF is coming but on the other hand I've been having lots of "symptoms". Feeling mildly queasy for most of the morning and heightened sense of smell - people smoking on the street making me feel ill. Maybe this is normal for me before AF arrives though. I really hate pre-AF spotting, I never got it before I had Thomas and at least when AF came there was no doubt about it. I think this must be the worst part of the month for me - I know in all honesty that it's not my month but still clinging onto any random bit of hope.

Hey girlies!

How are you all?

Im just muddling along and trying not to burst with excitement as my 20 week scan is next Wednesday!!!!!
Hopefully we will be able to tell the sex as Im desperate to find out!

I really feel for you ladies that are having morning sickness right now - have you tried lemonade? Its something that really worked for me - especially if you stir it for a while and get some of the fizz out first.

Im so anxious to see who is next with the BFP!! Come on ladies - it would be great if the whole group had this before Xmas!!

xxx

Oh wow, GOOD LUCK Pol (it's not over yet!) and Beets, very exciting indeed. if it doesn't work out this month then don't fret, for it WILL very soon - as Farmers says, by Xmas, definitely!!!

Farmers - good luck for the scan, can't believe you're at 20 weeks already! amazing! :hugs: also very exciting that you're going to find out the sex...we're going to try not to if possible. make sure you let us all know!!!

thanks also for the tip about lemonade - I can't stand anything sweet at the moment, unfortunately, other than OJ...so not sure I can stomach fizzy drinks. Might give it a try, though, desperate for SOMETHING to work! at the moment it's a battle about which is worse - the disgusting taste in my mouth all the time after I eat, or the nausea. only problem is that the only thing that works at getting rid of the taste is brushing my teeth, but I also can't take anything minty - so the toothpaste makes me gag! groan! xx

Hey ladies ... I hope you had a lovely weekend? I went racing again on Saturday and got home just in time to greet AF - grrr! Still I wasn't too disappointed as I just knew I wasn't pregnant. We have our meeting with the fertility consultant in a couple of weeks - I think the initial consultation is basic tests, ultrasound for me and semen test for OH. Because of where Ill be in my cycle (ov) its too early for them to do anything this month so I reckon we have our final chance of trying naturally this month before going ahead with IVF or ICSI depending on what they recommend. Ugh. Whilst all this is going on we are waiting for a bed to come free in the hospice for mum. Hopefully she's only going to go in for a week whilst they get her meds under control but we find out tomorrow the results of her last CT scan and we are all expecting the worse as she has gone downhill so much. Its devastating but I can't show her how I'm feeling as I have to be strong for her. So will need you ladies over the coming days/weeks..... I just would so love for her to know that I was pregnant before she left us ...
Farmers, ooh so excited for you for your scan .. where is the time going?! Can't wait for you to share with us whether its a boy or girl! Bumble when is your scan? Hope you are coping OK with the sickness. And I hope the sickness has gone Mort now you are on hols and entering the 2nd trimester. As for Pol and Leyla ... have fun in the next couple of weeks. Keep relaxed and positive and who knows .. maybe for one of us August will be our month! Big hugs to you all! xxxx

Beetle, sorry to hear about AF. Good news about the fertility clinic appointment though. I've heard of loads of people finally going for fertility treatment then getting pregnant naturally just as the appointment comes up, so you never know your luck! So so sorry to hear that things are not going well for your mum. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for you to stay strong for her sake. :hugs:

Hey girls

Im having a ..............BOY!!!! :cloud9::cloud9:

DH is SO happy Ive never seen a smile so wide - he had little tears in the ultrasound room!!

I am sooo happy too and looking forward to meeting my little man in december.

How is everyone doing? Beets - I hope everything goes well for you now. Testing things out seems to be a good idea so that you can make best plans on moving forwards and getting that BFP. I am sorry that your mum is so poorly. Stay strong hun.

How is everyones morning sickness going? And when are other scans due for you guys?

Come on BFPs!!!

Yay Farmerswifey - congratulations on team blue!

I have weeks to wait before I ovulate so nothing happening here.

CONGRATULATIONS farmerswifey!!!

i do somehow wanna have a boy, but feel like i am going to have a girl (i know its too early!)

sorry beets about af! you are in my thoughts! :hugs:

ladies, ive got a question - since yesterday i do not havea any symptoms anymore. no fatigue, no sickness, no sore bbs NOTHING!

is that normal? should i be worried? i am going to my gyn in austria on tuesday to have my first u/s done and cannot wait but i am scared to get bad news.

have your symptoms ever vanished for a bit in the first trimester?

lots of love  xx

Hey Bumbs! Just logged on and saw your post - and yes this happened to me too! Its actually very normal and there is no need to worry (easier said than done!)
However, dont be surprised if in the next week or so you get every single symptom under the sun back to you stronger than ever.
Its a weird thing pregnancy. I keep getting days where I feel just like I did before I was pregnant - then Ill get a blast of morning sickness for a few days or some lovely nausea and think how lucky I was to have a few days break from all the symptoms! lol!

Its worrying because you tend to lack trust in the fact that you really are expecting if you have no symptoms - but trust me when I say you should enjoy the days that you feel like this as it may not last!
And its never to early to feel the gender of your baby in yoru heart! The second I got my BFP with DD I just KNEW she was a little girl. This time however, I had no clue whatsoever so I had a wonderful surprise when I found out its a boy!!

Hope everything goes well for you at the gyn on Tues - keep us posted!!

Farmers Congratulations! A baby boy! How exciting .. now you'll have one of each! Perfect! I'm soooo happy for you! Have you chosen a name yet or will you just draw up a shortlist and decide when he's born? I'm always intrigued to find out what everyone does!
Thanks also for your kind support re my mum. She's OK in the hospice. The results weren't great but I don't want to be all doomie and gloomie here as this is a happy place where we get FAB BFP's and great news!
Bumble ... i'm sure you're absolutely fine. I reckon when you feel sick is when the baby is growing and when you feel fine is when baby is having a little rest before the next growth spurt. I'm no expert but it makes sense to me! Do let us see a copy of the scan when you get it! V. exciting.
Polaris ... how long is weeks and weeks until OV? I remember you having a long cycle but can't remember how long. I hope it goes quickly for you. Leyla ... how are you getting on this month hon and what is your plan? Would love to know how you are getting on. I'm off to see the fertility specialist in a couple of weeks to get checked out with my OH. We are both dreading it but at least we'll get some answers! take care y'all. xxx

thank you so much farmerswifey and beetle, very reassured!
also by the fact that my morning sickness woke me up at 3am and made me toss and turn for nearly and hr!

i will of course upload the picture as soon as i get it! which will be tuesday! :) yaaay sooo excited! as my lovely oh isnt coming with me i am taking my mum.

the cutest thing he said since we are expecting is "oh no i am not going to see our baby!" it nearly made me cry! but we get our 12 week scan on the 24th and he took the day off work!

thanks again and ill call back in soon! :hug:xx

Hi girls,
CD9 for me today, I usually ovulate about CD20 but it was even later than that last month, so I still have a bit of a wait until ovulation. So not much happening at the moment. Getting a bit of practice BD in, LOL.

Beetle - I'm sorry that your mum's results weren't great. :hugs: I'm glad that she is comfortable in the hospice though. I really would love for you to get your BFP really soon, as you say it would be really lovely to share that good news with your mum.

Bumble, don't worry about the disappearing symptoms, as others have said, just enjoy it when you are feeling good, the symptoms will usually be back with a vengeance the next day as you have found!

Farmers, I also KNEW in my heart and soul that Thomas was going to be a girl. LOL. I guess I must be a bit deficient on mother's intuition. I was so sure he was a girl that when he was born I was like, are you sure!!??!!

hi ladies, this is my 3rd month ttc... my cycles can be sporadic and so i dont know when to test anyway.. my three recent cycles have been 22,24,30. today is cd 24... little background, i dont know if i O, and so this cycle i took soy on cd 3-7. i dont use opk's since for some reason they are never +... i have used bbt this cycle My Ovulation Chart im going to try to wait to around cd 35 since the longest cycle ive had was cd 33....

Hi chocbunni, welcome! It's so annoying when your cycles are all over the place, isn't it? I had a look at your chart but it's a bit hard to tell exactly when you might have ovulated, but your temperatures do look more consistent now so I think there is a good chance that you did ovulate, either when FF is estimating or possibly a few days later. I find temperature charting is great for helping me to cope with irregular cycles.

Hi ladies,
I am back from holiday and feel great. I did not temp, chart or count days this time but EWCM is here so I think will ov soon.
This week I will see a new doctor (private), my sister recommended him. He is a professor at a university hospital. Maybe I am being impatient, DH is on supplements and vitamins and hopefully his swimmers are taking their time to heal but I wanted to see a doctor in the meantime if anything is wrong with me.

hi girls! :flower:

so sorry I've been out of action...I had a lovely week with DH in sunny Menorca. :cloud9: It was SO sunny, in fact, and historically I'm a bit of a sun-worshipper...that I got paranoid last night that I might have accidentally subjected the bean to too much heat  I was trying to keep out of it as much as possible, as I'd read that expectant mothers shouldn't raise their body temps too much, but it was so hard not to on the beach! I was going for dips in the pool and sea constantly to make sure I kept cool, and wore a hat, and sunscreen of course, but still feel a bit worried about it. does anyone know HOW bad that can be for baby? we're talking temps of around 28C some days. :dohh:

other than that...had an amazing week with NO m/s symptoms - yes!!!! felt much better and really relaxed, until yesterday! literally landed back in the UK and felt really sick again. and it's back to work this morning, and feel worse than ever!!! no fair! though farmers, it is reassuring the same thing happens to you - that you waver in and out of feeling good and bad, and I like your theory, beets, that it could be to do with periods of baby growth! I had just heard and read that most women stop feeling nauseous at around 12-14 weeks, and I'm 15 tomorrow and still feel awful. Bumbs - I totally sympathise with you in that respect.

anyway, so much other stuff to catch up on so please forgive me if I forget someone or something important...farmers, amazing news about the baby boy! :happydance: am SO pleased for you! I don't know if I'm reading too much into it but I am convinced bean is a boy! I just feel it - I even refer to 'him' all the time as 'he'! though sounds like it's not always the case, or wasn't at least for you, pol, ha!

beets - glad you had a nice break sailing and also glad for you that you have a date in the diary for tests with your OH. it feels horrible I bet, but you really are doing the best thing for you both AND your future baby. I am so, so sorry to hear about your mum, though. huge hugs. :hugs: I can't imagine the pain or worry or heartbreak...make sure you're getting a release, either through a diary or talking to friends or your OH about how you feel, or even just us.

pol - sorry to hear about spotting, I know how frustrating it is when it starts happening all of a sudden. and ley - good luck for this month, ewcm is a great sign! get BD-ing!

and big welcome to our new friend, chocbunni01 - sounds like you're suffering similar erratic cycles to lots of us, so don't fret. persevere with bbt tracking as I personally found it the most useful tool to tell when AF was arriving etc - it convinced me I was pregnant before a test told me either way!

not much to report scan-wise for a while now, though we have a meeting at the hospital on 16 August to go through my blood test results (from the generic screening and nuchal scan etc). 20 week scan won't be til September - I want to see more BFPs by then, please! :winkwink:

love you girls! xxx

Mort, don't worry about body temperature hun. Our body is great at adjusting our temperature so I think unless you put some heat pad on our belly or take a long hot bath, that wouldn't bother the baby.
Besides, 28C is really cool considering we have above 35C here :haha:

hello ladies!

i just came back from my gyn and I AM HAVING TWINS!!!

both of the little ones look fine, heartbeat perfect and I was so overwhelmed, i laughed and cried at the same time!

bumbs that is great news! so happy for you!:happydance:

Wow Bumblebee!!! Twins!! How incredibly exciting! My BIL has twin girls and they have been very easy babies and toddlers and they really do keep each other company a lot, I always thought twins would be so much extra work but not really with those two.
