hi girls!
so sorry I've been out of action...I had a lovely week with DH in sunny Menorca.
It was SO sunny, in fact, and historically I'm a bit of a sun-worshipper...that I got paranoid last night that I might have accidentally subjected the bean to too much heat
I was trying to keep out of it as much as possible, as I'd read that expectant mothers shouldn't raise their body temps too much, but it was so hard not to on the beach! I was going for dips in the pool and sea constantly to make sure I kept cool, and wore a hat, and sunscreen of course, but still feel a bit worried about it. does anyone know HOW bad that can be for baby? we're talking temps of around 28C some days.
other than that...had an amazing week with NO m/s symptoms - yes!!!! felt much better and really relaxed, until yesterday!
literally landed back in the UK and felt really sick again.
and it's back to work this morning, and feel worse than ever!!! no fair! though farmers, it is reassuring the same thing happens to you - that you waver in and out of feeling good and bad, and I like your theory, beets, that it could be to do with periods of baby growth! I had just heard and read that most women stop feeling nauseous at around 12-14 weeks, and I'm 15 tomorrow and still feel awful. Bumbs - I totally sympathise with you in that respect.
anyway, so much other stuff to catch up on so please forgive me if I forget someone or something important...farmers, amazing news about the baby boy!
am SO pleased for you! I don't know if I'm reading too much into it but I am convinced bean is a boy! I just feel it - I even refer to 'him' all the time as 'he'! though sounds like it's not always the case, or wasn't at least for you, pol, ha!
beets - glad you had a nice break sailing and also glad for you that you have a date in the diary for tests with your OH. it feels horrible I bet, but you really are doing the best thing for you both AND your future baby. I am so, so sorry to hear about your mum, though. huge hugs.
I can't imagine the pain or worry or heartbreak...make sure you're getting a release, either through a diary or talking to friends or your OH about how you feel, or even just us.
pol - sorry to hear about spotting, I know how frustrating it is when it starts happening all of a sudden. and ley - good luck for this month, ewcm is a great sign! get BD-ing!
and big welcome to our new friend, chocbunni01 - sounds like you're suffering similar erratic cycles to lots of us, so don't fret. persevere with bbt tracking as I personally found it the most useful tool to tell when AF was arriving etc - it convinced me I was pregnant before a test told me either way!
not much to report scan-wise for a while now, though we have a meeting at the hospital on 16 August to go through my blood test results (from the generic screening and nuchal scan etc). 20 week scan won't be til September - I want to see more BFPs by then, please!
love you girls! xxx
