Hi Girls,

Madrid- GL with trying the temping etc! I've never done it myself, but I know it's really helped some other ladies find their ovulation exactly, which is obviously a good thing.

Sorry I've not been around much over the weekend. I've had a busy time of it- hubby had a whole load of work colleagues over yesterday afternoon for a 'social' and had to do a lot of prep and sorting. I've been absolutely exhausted on top of that. Had to spend a lot of time hiding the morning sickness while they were all here too...oh well, over now, phew!
Can't believe it's tomorrow I get to see my little Blueberry all being well- amazing!

Hi all!!

I bet you can wait for your scans! It's amazing to see the little beans!!!

I'm still keeping up with the charting and my temp has been low and stable for 3 days now. I've been having quite bad O cramps that started yesterday but are getting worst now. I'm hoping I'll have a temp rise tomorrow so that I can start with my tww.

How you all doing today?

Just back from my scan and very relieved to say Sproglett was definitely there! Looked like a little JellyBaby! All was all normal, heart good and strong
Both me & hubby shed a tear or two...

First one-yolk sac on left jellybaby on right
Second one-measured 6+5-7wks, heart beat underneath! So exciting!

Oh Bex i'm so happy for you, i've got a little tear in my eye!! Well done, must be a huge relief. So lovely to see the heart beat too! I'm off for mine on Saturday and i've been feeling a bit nervous but this has made me feel lots better. Were the dates as you calculated?

At the risk of being thick, why is the dark bit long and thin? Is that the uterus? I thought they were round??

Yep pretty spot on really, except she didnt seem to take my cycle length into account which is why my ticker is two days ahead of that, but I'm happy with 7wks spot on

Got a few pics. This is the best pic of the little Jellybaby but the uterus is different in each one. It kind of changed shape a bit as I laughed or she moved the probe over my full bladder, (bit like squishing a balloon around!) The sonographer said that at this early stage the uterus is changing size and shape rapidly to accomodate baby as he/she grows and it get rounder as baby gets bigger.

That's so cool. although i'm sure when you try and show your LO his or her v first pics they'll be rather unimpressed!!

Did you have to have a really full bladder? When did you start drinking to optimise fullness without REALLY REALLY having to go??

Wow suddenly REALLY nervous about scan on sat. Took the day off cos been soo sleepy but feeling better now and getting paranoid symptoms have gone. Think my body's just thanking me for the rest but ooh so nervous everything will be ok x

Hey ladies-sorry havnt been on much.been quite busy!!!

OMG Bex-ur scan pic is so good!!! I'm so envious.

My midwife rang up and cancelled my Friday appointment!! I'm so so gutted. They can't fit me in again until 18th. That's soooo long and it just doesn't feel real until I actually see a midwife pretty down about it to be honest cus I can't really afford an early scan. Booooo!!

Every1 seems to be positive which is good xxx

Oh Ava that's pants! Surely they can fit u in earlier? I'd kick off!! My scans only £55 in Stoke? Cheapest I've found. It is real though and youve got to believe in it! In the olden days there were no hcgs or scans but everyone still believed they were preggers! You'll still get ure 12 week scan and it'll cone round sooo quick after midwife now! Hugs x

I'm not seeing the midwife til the 16th March and NHS scan not til 4th April, so if I hadn't had the private one yesterday I'd be feeling exactly like you.

Munchkin darling, keep relaxed, you'll be seeing your little beanie very soon, floating about in there and making him/herself at home- that's what you've got to think (I am aware that this is very hypocritical as I was just the same as you before mine) Also remember, you're maybe five days ahead of me so will see even more clearly! Can't WAIT to see your pics!

Aww thanks bex, just dead nervous! Sure I'll relax after. My ticker says 7wk 6 day but according to ov I'm 7 wk 1 day so will be 7wks 4 to 8 wks 2 days on sat. Please god let it be ok! X I reminded oh about it last night then got a text thus morning asking if u could change it cos he'd accidentally taken work so being v mature and taking my best friend instead! Also had a chat about what happens if he's working and I go into labour. Put it this way I'll be making sure I've got a back-up plan and if he doesn't make it I'll bloody kill him!! He's a freelance cameraman, usually the only one on the job cos he does news and current affairs that has to be finished that day and he cant just take a month off just in case but I'll still kill him if he misses it!

Wow. I'm feeling really overwhelmed and touched. My mums cousin who I've been close to since my mum died (she introduced me to my oh) is 45 and married 4 years ago and has finally given up on the idea of children so I was worriedabout telling her my news, haven't even spoken to her since o found out! Anyway we spoke today and she pushed me for my news, she was sooo brill and lovely and wants to know everything and be at thebirth! Some of it is het grief process at not being able to have her own but she's so brave I'm overwhelmed! I've been feeling like there's a huge gap left by my mum, and I know she's not my mum but it all makes sense! Also I've been worried about oh not being able to drop everything for the birth, and I really want him to enjoy it, so maybe 2 partners is ideal?? She lives 1/2 an hour away in Nottingham, would ve longer in traffic, but she doesnt work or have ties so do u think it would be possible?? X

Yeah all okay, just feeling extremely rubbish & skulking about not really doing anything including B&B much *feels sorry for herself*
Your post about your Mum's cousin is lovely. It sounds like she'd make the ideal alternate birthing partner in case your oh is indeed stuck at work at the time...

Hi bex. Sorry you're feeling pants. I've had a few proper skinning days, just feeling exhausted and not sleeping well. Nervous about scan today *bites nails* please god let it be ok. I've had no spotting, not much cramping, had pg symptoms like crazy, no reason why it shouldn't all be ok! I'll just keep telling myself that.... X

Well it's all there! Dated at 8 wks 1 day, EDD 14th October, so measured 4 days bigger than i know it to be!! Saw the heartbeat but MW said she couldn't get a count this early (err yes you can!!) i don't care though, i've got 5 photos, a 4 and a half minute DVD and i'm a happy happy mummy to be!! Yay!!
