Ttc #1 Positive thinking buddies, sticking together. (13 BFPs, 2 angels)

hi all, im new to forums. DH and I are both 29. we lost our first in April '14. Wasnt trying seriously then. going to start trying for the first time in the coming cycle. May i join here to learn and share?

Swim my that's a great positive outlook to have! Enjoy your kayaking!!!

Tiny that's great about starting your meds. What is the procedure with taking them? Hope it doesn't give you any side effects!! I like your signature - I couldn't agree more with the never giving up!!

I'm okay thank you. Still feeling quite unwell (like a never ending hangover!!) but just glad I've got symptoms!! My scan is in a week - feeling very nervous!!

Hello sweetness! Welcome! Sorry to hear about your loss. You are definitely welcome here. Will you be using any opks, temping etc whilst trying?

Welcome sweetness! A few of us here have had losses as well. Hope your ttc journey is short and you get pregnant again soon!

Tiny I took clomid days 3-7 as well and it worked for me!! Even with pcos and an 85% chance of it NOT working! Fx for you for sure! I got lucky and the only symptom was a few hot flashes at night but I've heard some women go nutso!

Hanrh I am so excited for your scan!! I'm sure all will be beautiful and you will see a squishy little gummy bear :) my second scan is in 3 weeks, this time he will actually look like a baby and not a shrimp!! Lol

Welcome sweetness! Definitely a great group of women here to Join :) hope ttc is a short journey for you!

I started Femara on CD 3 last night. It's supposed to have less side effects than clomid. We will see how it works. I'm just doing the 5 pills right now. May do triggers and boosters next cycle if unsuccessful.

Can't wait for your scans ladies!

Good luck sweetness!

Lynne let me know how the side effect are (if any) clomid hasn't been too bad but except for hot flashes and dizzyness but that could also be from this darn heat we are having!! Almost 103 today I jumped out of my kayak twice today to swim haha. Hoping my 20mile kayak on Thursday is a little cooler sense Im hitting a much faster river and swimming won't be as easy.

Really trying not to get to hopeful the first cycle of clomid but it's getting hard.
Can't wait to hear about both your scans!!

So far so good Swimmy. Started Saturday, and all has been normal so far! Isn't it crazy hot out? Lol <3 Michigan :)

I caved and ended up turning on our central air, I was sick of hearing my DH cry about how hot it was hahaha.

Lucky you two with the heat! The rain is pouring down here in the UK. It windy and wet - lovely summer holiday weather!! :(

DH and I are such wimps, we have had our AC on for a while now. I just can't sleep when it is so hot!

I like rain sometimes Hanrh, my veggies start to struggle when it is so hot with no rain! But yes, the heat is nice when you think that in 5 months there could easily be snow up to our hips!

idk if its just that is 3am and i'm at work bored but I keep looking up stuff for the fertility clinic me and my DH were referred to I really just want to suck it up and book an appointment but its soooo expensive and I should give the clomid a few months shouldn't I (if i can handle that it kind of makes me crazy lol)

hanrh - i can't wait to hear about your scan! fingers crossed

It's not weird at all swimmy. I've done the same thing. And we decided too that it was too expensive to go to without giving some other things a try first. My OB did give me the name of an OB friend that specializes in infertility and recurrent miscarriages, and since he is an OB, not a specialist, it should be covered more by our insurance! He is in Saginaw, I can give you his name if you are interested, I know it is a little far from you. Let me know if you would like his info! I'm going to try to get a referral to him at my GP appointment today.

I went to a fertility specialist (Dr. Shamma with Michigan IVF if you have heard of it) and some of the stuff WAS actually covered by insurance! We didn't have to go the IVF or IUI route thankfully but i had a few ultrasounds (one which diagnosed my pcos and one that confirmed a viable pregnancy) and some blood work as well all of which was covered. I do have pretty good health insurance though. I had called my insurance company to see if any infertility issues would be covered and they said no, however somehow it was? maybe because it was more diagnostic instead of the expensive procedures? hopefully you could get some covered as well!

hanrh- anxiously awaiting your scan!!!

michelle how are you doing? your chart is looking promising!! maybe a cycle without meds could do the trick!!

Thanks! I tested this morning and BFN. And now I'm out of tests! I will have to order more and see if AF shows up on/before Tuesday or not.

TinyLynne - I would love the doctors information. I mean ya its a far drive but my family lives in Royal oak so I can go visit them then go see the doctor lol.

AFM - still waiting to Ovulate, not feeling like anything is much different this cycle than my usual ones so we will see if clomid does anything for me. I ended up kayaking the AuSable river this week. I was just going to do 20-25 miles but ended up needing more than that and took it all the way to lake huron I think it was about 153 miles! felt fantastic. hoping this good + mood keeps up while I'm at work tonight lol

We go to the Au Sable at least once a year to fish for steelhead! Your trip sounds amazing!!! The OB is in Saginaw and some days in Frankenmuth. I'll pm you his name. I have an appointment with him in September, it was the earliest could get in. I hope he is worth the wait!

I got my tests back, TSH, lupus abs cardio lipids are normal, just like last time. But I made him check my ANA, and it was positive. Low side of positive, but positive still. I'm not surprised, I've suspected an immune issue for a while. Not sure what is next

Just wanted to pop back in and show you all my scan pic. Baby was measuring 8+3 with a heart rate of 166bpm! I was so relieved (I actually threw up with panic just before leaving to go) however know we aren't 'safe' just yet!

Hope you are all well xx
