***January 2020 Testing Thread***

I hate these tests now, still getting faint lines and ever so sl darker the stronger my pee, this is SMU..is it only me who can see it? Maybe I had some sort of brief chemical?? No more spotting and still waiting for AF.


EDIT : am going to use one of these tests with water and see what happens.

I can easily see that line! Maybe your spotting was false alarm, like it was with me? If AF starts I'd probably say that it was a brief chemical, because unless these tests are completely messed up (which I think is unlikely), there should be no way that these lines show up, especially within the time limit.

Hope it progresses into a true BFP

Very obvious difference. I'll go ahead and say that the bottom test is definitely positive

Just a little update on me. Guess the clearblue makes it official (12 DPO today!)

It's crazy! On 9 DPO after the spotting I was CONVINCED I was out. Guess it was some kind of implantation bleed after all.



Was crying this morning and I'm super over the moon, and at the same time a little scared of experiencing another CP. Going to test another time tomorrow to check for progression.

Just gotta figure out a cute way of telling my bf tonight. Like I said, he still has no clue and thinks we're out this month.

I dont think thats possible honey! It must have detected some level of HCG otherwise there wouldn't be a line. I hope AF stays away!

Has anyone not had any symptoms really before getting their bfp's?
I tested Monday at 9dpo (according to my Flo app) as I had been feeling slightly strange...increased moodiness and emotions above what my usual is for the totm (i had to stop myself crying at my desk just because OH said he watched a tv show without me whilst plotting against him at the same time ) ive had some lightheadedness which have been fleeting - I was diagnosed with vertigo last month but this isn't vertigo feeling and I've not actually had any symptoms since going to the doctors for it lol) and I just felt.. different slightly. But that's it.
I know I have had sore boobs with precious pregnancies but I can't remember when that started as never tracked anything back then so can't remember if it was early or shortly after.

When i tested 9dpo it was with boots and it came up faint positive- a definite pink line. But then I saw that boots have been giving false positives recently. A frer with fmu at 10dpo was negative.

So I assume I'm not pregnant this month. But then I was thinking thus morning that it's 6 days from the date of your missed period - I.e the day after af due. For Me, af is due Sunday(15dpo) so my first missed would be Monday. So it could be possible that Ok, I had a crap boots test but I may not be out if I tested too early with the frer?

I still think I'm not purely because of lack of any symptoms and we dtd on O day which I now know isn't great apparently. But seeing the positive on the boots and finding out it was false has made me feel really disappointed and clinging on to any hope

I can't test until tomorrow as don't get paid until then but...sorrym just had to vent a little and get this out I think! If you've read this far well done

@Pineberry Yay, congratulations hun. I'm so pleased for you. I really hope they progress. I was terried with this one that they wouldn't. It's so hard after a chemical to not worry. I even had a day where they were a little lighter and I sobbed convinced it was over. When is your edd?

@aymz1983 I personally had no symptoms really before my bfp. The only thing was mild cramps pretty much from ovulation and still getting them now at 5 weeks. Nausea has kicked in the last couple of days and my boobs didn't start feeling tender until after bfp.

Pineberry - Congratulations! Hormones must have been the culprit of the meltdown.

Dee - I see something on your tests too. What DPO are you? Hopefully it's just light due to being too early.

Aymz - with my previous pregnancies I had sore breasts before my BFP, I never got sore breasts with my period so it was a definite sign. That was my only symptom I can really remember. Now, though I do get sore breasts leading up to my period so I can't go by that symptom anymore lol.

Congratulations to you ladies! Wonderful news!!

AF for me is due on Tuesday/Wednesday, not hopeful as its been 7 months and no joy however have had odd symptoms this cycle such as pink discharge 3 days after my AF ended, racing heart rate and this week for some odd reason my pee is super concentrated (TMI I know!)

It's so hard not to symptom spot but we want this so much!

Thanks! To be honest I am in a really negative mindset about the whole thing which I need to shake off, I've convinced myself just because Iv just turned 37 it wont happen for me, that somehow because I'm in a new relationship with a 26 year old it wont happen for us and I will deny him a child of his own. That would break me if I'm honest!

Still faint lines on the tests! I hate AF and I hate these tests and hate feeling so sad! Rant over.

Congrats @Pineberry that line looks great!

@Leesa I got my faint bfp at 9dpo. Implantation usually occurs at 9 dpo for most I believe but can happen from 6dpo to 12 dpo. Test when you feel like it but try not to be upset if you test to early and get a negative. It could just be to early. Wishing you luck!
