Tesh - I don't know of anyone personally, but having now worked with a fertility clinic closely in this whole journey, they don't even schedule scans until we've reached the 7 week mark because they claim babies are hard to find before then and of course they don't want to worry their patients. Now, if you consider this wait is for people who KNOW they are pregnant because they had an embryo transfer and at least two bloods to confirm it, that's definitely saying something, and worth waiting a few days or even a week before making any big decisions. If you've stopped bleeding and are not in pain, it makes sense to wait. Obviously if that changes then you might want to not wait. It's a personal choice, but certainly not one for which you can't get a second opinion first.
