Cute pics daddies! I wish Ninja would still sleep on me. And hello! You wanna see my house?! And I *can* clean. Your house doesn't look messy to me!

Cool tattoos! I am wayyyyy too chicken to ever have committed but when we are done having babies I may find something to symbolize them. I know I can commit to THAT!

Wonder weeks are periods of mental development that babies go through, like a growth spurt of the mind if you will...lol. You can google all the phases. F has been pretty affected by them although some babies don't seem to be. They are based on due date too.

F is a veeeeeery frequent eater, definitely a grazer. Eats every 1-3 hours around the clock. Probably 10 times a day? Very quick feeds most of the time, but he definitely loves his boob. Lol. I have also been really lucky with absolutely no issues so its definitely my plan to bf for a long time, as long as it continues this way. Absolutely until 12 months, although I would like to continue a few times a day until 24 months. I will probably look at night weaning as we near 12 months though, but for now I prefer the quick and easy way of getting him back to sleep! Lol

Ninja has been using me as a pacifier the last couple of days. Tooth?? He's been crying every time I detach him even though he's not really sucking. Makes me sad, but I can only stand it for so long. I'm feeling like my nerves are starting to become damaged again and it's like needles trying to shoot their way out of my boobs with every suck. Or like he's sucking me inside out. :dohh: I love that he loves to nurse, but I'm thinking when we hit 6 months I'm going to start weaning so I only feed him at night. Less than 2 weeks. :) /

Have you spoken with a lactation specialist or is that available to you? It seems like there could be a fix for that!?! I'm sure you have looked into it because that must be so hard!

Thanks girls! I got my first tattoo at 18 and was really freaked out afterward like "that is going to be there forever?!" But I soon got over it and its been down hill from there. :haha: I guess my house isn't dirty too often, cluttered and toys thrown up every where? Yes!

Anthony has been pacifier free for 3? Days now! Yippy! Nights aren't bad at all but nap time now I do have to snuggle or rock him a bit so I think he misses it then. I agree Cridge it is cute and easier at times so ill miss it but I've found the earlier the better to break the habit, hence my 20 month old cosleeper :winkwink:

We'll be getting everyone into a routine shortly! Going to try same time nap times and bed times as well as eating times. Anthony can eat whenever of course but the rest of family. I've been doing the training for being a at home child care provider for the military and they are "strict" on their rules for you as a provider so I better get the kiddos in a routine before I start so its not adding more work! I'm excited though and learning a lot of ways to teach children, some of which I've started with Dominic and he is doing great!!

Love the tats daddies! I have my next one planned, representing lil man I can't wait :)

Thanks Gaia - yes, I've spoken to a lactation consultant. Not much I can do since :ninja: is a little stinker. I've made the decision to be happy with 5 out of the 6 feeds for now though and I'm feeling good with that decision. Next week I'll reevaluate and see if I want to drop it down to 4.

Daddies - I know, I dread the thought of breaking the pacifier habit, which will for SURE be by 18 months, probably a lot sooner. I don't like babies trying to talk through their pacifier. BUT, he only gets it at nap and bed time, so that shouldn't be a problem anyway. I didn't allow my first to have a pacifier, so I guess I'm overindulging *me*. :haha:

That's cool that you're learning things you can use with your own family!

Cridge- 6 months of pain and still bfing is amazing! I've learned I'm a big wuss :haha: I thought I could take a natural birth NOPE I flipped out the whole time, thought bfing would be a cinch, nope! Couldn't cope with the pain. Foot surgery? Fail :haha: so I think you've done great.

I think I've learned something about bfing each kid. #1 I learned you really need help LOTS of help. #2 I learned you really need a GOOD pump! I think using my crappy pump only made engorgement worse. So maybe if we have a third one day ill succeed at breast feeding  oh and I learned with both.. I need to just not have diary after pregnancy!

I wonder kids who have a dairy intolerance had problems during pregnancy with the dairy we intake? Doctor thought Anthony has more than dairy problem but so far we've been fine with the solids we've given him! Hope it continues successfully.

Ladies you must try this :) D gave A a piece of paper and Anthony went crazy!! He was crumbling it up, tearing it, throwing it around giggling like crazy. So now I just hand him a piece of note book paper and he goes nuts. Think it's the texture, the sound of it crumbling, he's yet to eat it so that's good :haha: all the toys you buy and they like paper!

Another thing we do for ones who bottle feed we just give Anthony a bottle to play with and he's gotten great at holding it and getting it in his mouth! After a few times shoving it in his eye :winkwink:

Daddies have you seen that YouTube video of a baby laughing hysterically at the parent ripping paper?! Priceless. Look it up!

Well Lo is defo going to be my only child :haha: She has 2 cousins close in age and older(half)siblings in SA so I am fine with that. Lo is st;ll ebf- she finally got an appt for 29th at the eczema special day-ward so hopefully she can get sth aginst her itch.

Teeth suck! My nipples hurt for the first time and F is soooo whiny.

Thanks Daddies! It's been rough, to be sure, but I've been absolutely determined to continue breastfeeding. More for my sake than for his - I just really wish it had been less painful. I'm starting to feel some mental relief though - just knowing I'll be done soon has helped.

Ugh - Gaia - I know, the teeth!! Ninja's 2nd tooth poked through this morning, which explains yesterday, I guess. Tooth #1 didn't seem to wreak much havoc, but tooth #2 has been a killer! Naps have been almost nonexistent the last few days and yesterday he just cried and cried while I held him. Poor baby.

So ladies I just had to share my excitement! I made a couple bandana style drool bibs for lil man and ppl kept asking about them so I've started selling them among other handmade baby products. And they've taken off like crazy! It makes me happy! If I can make money doing this it'd be awesome!

Ladies!! We have a sitter! We took his pillow away and there he sat for five minutes before he leaned forward too far..but caught himself on his hands keeping himself from face planting and dropped down to his belly!! YIPPY! I wont be sitting him down with out a pillow behind him but we were able to keep putting him down and there he would sit with out throwing himself back. Hes growing up too quick! Now he gets impatient with me trying to feed him so he grabs the spoon and does it himself with minimal mess..okay big mess but he doesnt choke himself with spoon. YIPPY :happydance::happydance::happydance:

Morri- awe why only one!

Gia- hope the nipples get to feeling better soon :flower:

Lilbean- Great job!! I had started selling cloth diapers and accessories I was making. It just became too much after I had Anthony to keep up with some im Breaking.

Yay for sitting Daddies!!! I've realized that I haven't been working with Ninja as much as I worked with my first, so while he can sit on his own for a few minutes (leaning forward), he's just not as close as I want him to be. :haha: I'm ready for a full-on sitter!! He did catch himself this afternoon though and kept from falling over sideways, which I was impressed about.

And mine *only* eats if he can spoon feed himself. It drives me nuts, really. :dohh:

I understand the driving you nuts part! Anthony cries cause he wants it, he cries when the foods gone but then cries when you take spoon away! He's just our little fat boy! :)

I'm ready for a sitter/crawler! I want him to be able to play with big brother. Though lately big brother has not been nice to him :( I'm not sure what's come over Dominic.

Tonight my husband said we could start for #3 when Anthony is two. I said January 2015 since we'll be moving then and I've already moved pregnant once won't do that again! In a way I want to wait longer but it did take over two years to get Dominic. I said we can as long as we are financially able to afford another, good health and relationship wise and the boys don't turn into major handfuls!

Speaking of health :( today doctor diagnosed my wrist/hand pain as carpel tunnel. Prescribed me medicine, which I really don't want to take more medicine and tomorrow I have to get wrist splits. If not better in a month they'll look into types of arthritis though she doubts it. So I can't imagine having another if this keeps up! I'm falling apart! Night time and morning are the worse my wrists hurt and swell a little and my hands are so stiff I can barely move them and when I do it hurts. When Anthony wakes at night I can't even pick him up so I slip my hand under his head to prop it to eat. Boo hoo

oh you arent lucky with your limbs daddiesgift.
i was at the day ward of the childrens hospital to have a look at lo eczema, and according to the allergy prick test she has a cow milk and egg sensitiviyThe doctor was fine but the nutritionist sounded like she was paid by the babyfood lobby as she said only baby jars would be any good (when talking about solids) and babies wouldnt like the texture of home made (pureed) food or wouldnt be able to bite anything until a year old(lol my nephew is a year and he had no problems eating food at 9 m old without teeth)
Concern for me was her weight though, I am going to backtrack my postt as I can't recall her weight properly but if it is what it is that she basically hasnt gained any weight recently as she was 69xx g about. She gained 2.5 cm though which makes her 68.5 cm.

Geez Morri there's some crazy people out there! Every baby is different, eats different, grows different what does that nutritionist know of your baby?! Dominic ate all home made baby food fruit but preferred jar veggies and meat. He's probably the only baby who ate that cat food looking meat lol. He was late getting teeth but able to eat lots of things far before 1. At 1 he was eating absolutely everything we ate and he's never choked before. All babies grow different too don't stress too much if she's happy and not losing weight. Dominic would gain lots one month and be chubby then a few months gain nothing. Month by month his baby pictures look different! Now he's 25 pounds been that way about 6 months, 15% in weight but they say don't stress as he's still growing tall. And daddy is the lucky person who can't gain weight.

I made Anthony green beans purée and he hated that texture lol. Spit it all out and wouldn't open again! He really likes mashed banana and avocado. If I do get jar food it's the organic and ingredients will read: organic green beans, water. Sounds good to me!
