CD1 Starting clomid in 3 days... Let's Chat

Killeen Mama- UGHHHHHHH! I am so sorry to hear that!!! It is such a mind game, isnt it? There have been months when I would have bet every penny I have that I was pregnant...just to see another BFN. Did you ask your doctor about taking it 3-7? Ive heard that days 3-7 are preferred by most doctors, but Im not comfortable giving advice, since i am not a doctor :)

Joanna - I think its a super postive sign that you got AF on your own!! Thats great they said this was your month! That must make you extra hopeful!! You should ask for that in writing...hahaha.

AR - Since we are twins it will not surprise you that I too have noticed wetter cm, but not even close to EW yet... Im wondering if I will get EW this cycle though, as I have heard clomid can dry it out... Tomorrow at the RE I will ask about taking robotusin, or mucinex like I always read about on these blogs. Ill let you know what he says.

HERE IS TO HOPING FOR BIG JUICY, READY TO FERTILIZE EGGS! :)

Amberks8 - Thanks sis! Tell me what the doctor says we should do. lol. I love how similar our cycles are. Are your OPK's doing anything yet?

Hey ladies, I'm back lol. On 13dpo I was 2days late 11day lp and everything felt great and had no AF symtoms. But kept getting BFN's and then at 5pm AF showed up out of the blue and brought her sister cramp with her lol.

My doctor went ahead and wrote out my prescription on Friday and I had it filled so now I have my clomid but am wondering when to start taking it. I took it CD5-9 last cycle and ovulated 2 days later then I normally do and my LP went from 11days to 13 so I guess that part was good but my progesterone levels were high so that was what was making me have the pregnancy symtoms and is also what kept AF away for so long. But in the end it was still a BFN so now what?

Should I try taking it cd3-7 instead of the 5-9 so there will be more eggs and mybe my progesterone level won't be as high?
Will taking it the cd3-7 shorten my LP or cycle? I need to have enough time after ovulation for conception and implantation to occuor.

I normally ovulate on cd16 when un-medicated and have a 28-29 day cycle

I would definitely speak with your DR about moving it closer if you think that would help. He will let u know if it is a good idea or not. I have no experience yet since I am on my first month of clomid and I was told to take mine CD 2 - 6. Most of everyone else took it cd 3-7, so I don't know. lol. Good luck though and let us know what the DR says.

AR - My OPK's have a slightest hardly there line... O seems to be a while away. What about yours?

Mine are very light. Not squinters, but still very light. I think the one from today might be a tiiiiiiny bit darker than yesterdays, but it is probably just me. lol. OV still seems far away. Let's hope it comes soon!! FXed

hello ladies! i'm not on clomid, but i wanted to stop by and highly recommend mucinex to improve your cm, since you were wondering about it. the last two cycles i've taken generic mucinex (guaifenesin) and it had such a dramatic effect on my cm, i almost couldn't believe it. hope this helps!

Thanks TTC Newbie! How thoughtful of you to chime that in! I will be using it this cycle! :)

Ok...Here is my crappy update.

Went to RE today for follicle scan. 50mg of clomid did nearly nothing for me... I have on follicle that is only 10mm and is nowhere ready to release an egg...

He put me back on 100mg clomid for the next 5 days...Lining looks good (8mm)

I am so bummed out. Devestated and deflated...

Hope you have better luck!!!!!! :(

Oh no that sucks!! What cycle day are you on? I am going for my ultrasound tomorrow (cd 15) and am really interested because I've been having feelings on both sides.

Tracy - I am cd 12. I thought for SURE something was happening. Ive had cramps on both sides since cd5!!! but nearly nothing! UGH!
Good luck tomorrow!!!! Please come back and update us!!! :)

Is it weird that my doctor is not doing any scans on me until CD 3 of my next month? He said he wants to make sure I didn't get cysts from the clomid, but is not concerned with follicle sizes. Is this because he thinks I ovulate already, but just ovulate late? That worries me a bit.

TTC Twin, I hope the 100mg of clomid catches you up for this cycle. I would love for us to be bump buddies. :) I'm sending extra dust your way.

AR- Do you see an OBGYN or a specialist (Endocronologist?) I have heard OBGYNs dont scan, but specialists do??? Could be wrong.

Thanks for your encouraging words. I too HOPE AND PRAY that I get caught up. Just popped my two pills and waiting for the pain to start.

How are your o lines coming along? :) Think you will be ready to BD this weekend ;)

I have a question about these Re Drs. Does insurance cover these visits and scans to these drs? I know its prob diff for each insurance provider. Just curious as to if yours does or not.

Mine doesnt cover it...Wish it did!!!! My follicle scan today was $125 for about 15 minutes.

Hey all ill be starting comid again in the next week or so. 100mg a day days 2-7. I was on clomid before to conceive, that was 8 years ago, so after a clomid baby a miracle baby and ttc for 4years its time to embrace clomid and its moodswings again, fingers crossed for us all. :)

In academia, a survey article is a paper that is a work of synthesis, published through the usual channels (a learned journal or collective volume, such as conference proceedings or collection of essays). It stands outside the usual run of research papers, for two reasons: it is not presented as the author's original research, but as a survey or summary of a field; and it is not necessarily subject to the same degree of peer review. Sometimes short survey articles appear in the guise of book reviews, where the context of the book is summarised first, often at greater length than is devoted to the book.

In a survey article, the treatment of the subject is often less detailed or in-depth than would be acceptable in a textbook, and the topic may be one in which recent work requires summary. In its objectivity, a survey article may lie somewhere between a personal essay, and an encyclopedia article. The intention is to give rapid access to material scattered over many papers. Some fields, such as theoretical physics, depend very much on such surveys to bring recent progress into focus, on a time scale of around 18 months to two years.

I have an obgyn. That's probably where my problem is. My lines are getting a tad darker. Not much, but we will see. I am testing twice a day so I dont miss it due to the clomid. I hope I will be ready to BD by this weekend. I am getting more cramps which is good....I hope Good luck to you and let me know what happens!! :hugs:

hope you dont mind if I jump in here ladies! I have pcos and just finished my first round of 50mg clomid on days 3-7 im also on metformin.
