***November 2019 Babies!***

I'd probably like the three month definition you mentioned better as it would mean each trimester is actually just 12.85 weeks (90 days) And by that definition I could have counted myself in the third tri at 25.7 weeks. :p

Haha well...3 months is actually 13 weeks on average (52 weeks per year/4) so maybe 26 weeks if you count from the start of your cycle but that could make third tri really long!

Too much maths going on for my poor little brain haha!!!

What week do you start counting kicks? I feel like mine are still so sporadic.

I've been counting kicks since 20 weeks it's been consistent since then! Well I wouldn't say I count them but more take notice of the pattern and any change. But I know they say 28 weeks until normally a pattern is formed or something like that! You know what's normal for you even if they are still sporadic :)

Yea 28 weeks is when kick counts start. I was worried bc baby boy more rolls, pops and thumps and seemed random, but he’s been good. I forgot that you only need 10 in 2 hours. I just count when he starts right around bed time and he hits 10 pretty quick.

Here it's not recommended to count kicks anymore! It was with my previous 2, now you just need to notice changes as aposed to the kicks, quality of them not the quantity and all that, if they feel less frequent/not as strong get checked is what they've told me this time around! Hence why I've been seen at the hospital for reduced movement twice and I'm just 28 weeks lol I think as long as you know your babys movements/kicks and report any changes, your doing it correctly :)

Haha I’d be at the hospital so many times with that rule too hlx! This kid does more pops and thumps and nudges than kicks but some days he’ll kick up a storm. Every time it changes I worry and I wonder if I should go in, but then he hits his kick count at night and I relax a bit again.

Hello,

I am hoping it's ok to jump across from December group, I am due twin girls on the 8th Dec but got given my c section date at consultant appointment Tuesday it is 20th November!

So thought I would pop in and say hello!

Hope everyone is well x

Hi there! :) and good luck with your scheduled section! Not that much longer to go! X

Hey ladies! I feel terrible for not checking back in here for so long. I hope everyone is thriving with their pregnancies! We are all in the home stretch now, isn't that crazy? How is everyone feeling?

My body is falling apart! I have a thrombosed hemorrhoid which was excruciatingly painful for the first few days. I have an appointment with a surgeon on Tuesday to see if more can be done. But that’s not all... I was dripping blood everywhere the other night bc apparently veins in your labia can bulge and burst as well (so scary), and today my left calf and ankle and foot swelled up so bad, which has never happened to me before. None of this has. On top of it all, I have a sore throat from a cold. So ready for November to be here!

Oh my god! I thought it was just me, I know it sounds strange but it's almost like my vagina bulges and feels swollen, I dont know if it's the same thing but I noticed in the shower and it only happens when I'm stood up, if I'm lying down it seems to go back to normal, so strange lol!

I have also have a sore throat and I feel terribly run down, tbh I've not been the greatest with my iron tablets!

On the plus side, I'm 30 weeks today so 10 weeks left!!!

Oh my, that sounds terrible! I feel awful as well, not as bad as what you're going thru, however. The edema in my feet and legs is so bad, I just bought some compression socks to see if they help, but I definitely have kankles lol. I'm so tired all the time, body aches, and I'm having a harder time getting around. I'm ready for November as well, this past month has kicked my butt!

Plus side the sore throat is gone, my 2 yo is back to doing well with potty training, and I have 2 days to just relax with my little family <3

This will actually be a really short work week for me. Taking Friday off and doing a little mini staycation with DH next weekend while my parents watch our daughter.

I’m also in full blown maternity/family photo planning mode. Those will be in 2 weeks. We’re doing them a bit late bc of our photographer’s availability. Still struggling with what to have DH wear :haha:

I think you've virtually passed the sore throat to me lol! I feel dreadful and funny enough, I always get a sore throat and cold around 30 weeks with all babies!

Oh man, it seems third tri has hit some of us like a truck! Haha! I'm sorry for all the crappy symptoms everyone is having (the hemmorhoids and bleeding especially, that sucks!), but I totally can commiserate. I am having hip pain, off and on insomnia, perineal swelling, and some quite frequent bladder leakage (how fun!). Yay pregnancy. I'm trying to tell myself to enjoy it as this is our last pregnancy barring a major oops.

I haven't been doing movement counts as this little boy seems to never stop moving. At my last visit my OB was laughing as she was feeling him in my belly and measuring my uterus because he did two full 360s. She's like, welp, he definitely hasn't settled into position yet. I feel like my ab muscles and organs are sore from the inside out from all his movement. I was balancing a bowl of cereal on my belly yesterday and he literally pushed it right off. Haha!

My c section is scheduled for 11/11 at 3pm. Don't LOVE the afternoon time, but it's actually late enough that I can wake early and eat breakfast, then stop eating after that. And I can have a leisurely morning with my son and take him to school, so I suppose that's nice. We've convinced my SIL to come (which is an out of country trip, so we're feeling especially thankful she agreed) to help take care of our kiddo while I'm in the hospital and while I'm first at home recovering. I have no clue what a cesarean recovery is like as my only birth experience was a fast and furious unmedicated vaginal birth, but I'm really not looking forward to not being able to pick up my needy toddler and what that will be like. He's starting to get very very needy as this baby's delivery date approaches, so that doesn't bode well for us! 9 weeks 5 days to go, but who's counting! :p

I’m so counting down the weeks! My displaced rib from my first pregnancy started hurting really bad again this week. Icing and resting as much as I can in the evenings which means I miss my sitz bath. I’m so confused about what pain to address and when. I’ve also not been great about my protein/iron shakes bc I’m afraid of constipation again. Trying to just focus on the good news: I don’t need surgery yet! If things are still bad a few months after delivery, I can go back in for the procedure. Feels good to have a plan and seems I can manage until then.

My 2 yo is getting super clingy at drop off too even though she’s been going to the same place since 6 months old and she’s usually fine. I’m just trying to figure out who will watch her if I go into labor naturally this time. My mom will come up but she’s 1.5 hours away. My best friend’s place is on the way but what if it’s the middle of the night and we can’t get them to wake up or answer the phone/door, or it’s the middle of the day and she can’t leave work. My neighbor down the street who has a little girl C’s age might be a good option for middle of the night. They have 3 adults so one of them could come over quick and then we wouldn’t have to wake C. We’re not super close but we know them well enough after a year of getting the girls together now. Idk nothing feels right, but what will be will be. Best option is probably just to have my mom come up and stay starting at 39 weeks, but that could be a lot of time with my mom if I go late again :haha: still preferable to my MIL coming down!

Hi ladies, how is everyone coming along! We're in the home stretch now.

Afm, I'm ready for it to be over, I've reached a point of everyday uncomfortability, going for a growth ultrasound on Monday, as dr said I put on weight really fast in the last 2 weeks, so she wants to know how big baby girl is.

Hope you all are doing well. Have you all or are you having a baby shower?

Hi hun! Feeling better than I have been the past few weeks if anyone read what's been going on with me over in the 3rd tri section, still getting on off contractions but so far looks like little man is staying put and in doing all I can not to kick start the contractions again, which means I'm a hermit right now and I'm not allowed to go far :( I'm not having a baby shower, to be honest I've never had one, they want a thing here with my first and both my boy pregnancies I've gone into preterm labour at 30 weeks, so I've never wanted a baby shower, I just want my pjs and my bed lol x

Oh no, and they're real contractions? Not just Braxton Hicks huh? I'm sorry, and yes you have to relax and not put stress on your body to prevent preterm labor. I've been a bit of a hermit outside of going to work myself but mostly because I have zero energy to do anything and I don't feel very pretty anymore. Lol I'm having a shower, my mom wouldn't hear of me not wanting one, it's in October, so we're getting ready for that now.
