How early do you all start your Christmas shopping?

I've been ready for Christmas for about a week now. Glad I'm not the only one!

I've technically already started
I'll pick up a few bits here and there and usually start proper in Octoberish aiming to be finished before December starts but this year I want to be finished by October so I don't have to worry about it at all

So where do you all like to shop? I confess I do most of my shopping on amazon.com because I hate crowded stores. But if I start shopping so far in advance then I could browse the mall before it gets too crowded.

I do a mixture of online shopping and wandering about shops in town
