I don't know if anyone else has said this but we're going to make a bauble every year.
Going to get a plain bauble, use glitter, sequins, paint... Pretty much anything. It'll be the fun thing to do with Imogen as a family tradition.

My dad used to cut a log in half, put plaster on it and my sister and I would decorate using Xmas figures so when it dried, it looked like a snow scene. I loved doing that.

Ahh Scamp that's such a nice idea, Started something like this this Sophie, My mum works in a school and the nursery every year make baubles, so Sophie got her first last year with " Sophies first christmas" and each year we'll get one with her name and the year. Your ideas better though lol!!

Love the log idea, i always think kids will remember all these things in years to come...

A sugar cube castle is a wintery castle made out of sugar cubes. You use frosting to hold it together and decorate it up like you would a gingerbread house...which reminds me I want to make a gingerbread house too!

They're fab! We made salt dough Christmas decs yesterday. Bought some paint for them this morning and just need to get some clear varnish. Will post some pics when they're done x
