Hi. I hoping you lovely crafty ladies can help me. I want to get lo a wooden advent calendar, saw some fab Gisela Graham ones. But then saw a plain one on ebay. Im not very creative. Im looking for some inspiration. Has anyone decorated one they care to share with me please?

Anyone who has made snwoman soup or reindeer dust, what size cones did you use? Looking at ebay I can't decide whether I'd need large or medium! x

I'd go for large - you can always trim a bit off the top once you've tied it up xx

The idea was if they had a huge one all the gifts from everyone would fit in.DS1's little tablet computer gonna be a bit lost in there this year lol !

Where is the best place to get christmas fabric? I only need a small amount of a few different ones so ebay isnt being helpful with that.

I can gather a few Christmas fabric scraps together for you how big of pieces do you need

Well I've still not bought any varnish for my salt dough decs lol. I will get some soon though!

I've decided that when I do my baking a couple of days before xmas I'm going to do my scones in christmas shapes - snowmen most likely lol!

ooh Christmas Crafts this is the place for me!! I love crafts.. we always make tree decorations every year with Fimo.. fun fun

Think I might do snowman soup as gifts for Fran's little friends. Gonna get plastic cone bags off t'internet and fill them with hot chocolate powder topped with marshmallows then tied with a ribbon and a candy cane attached
